One of the best grabs I’ve seen by a Bill in a long time. -

Have we signed anyone worth while from Carolina ? Beane has been great, but the Carolina stuff needs to stop. -

Yeah, we’re seeing what happens when forced to play guys too far down the depth chart. CB depth was an issue because they went with the washed up Carolina connection with Norman. -
I’m happy he’s on the Bengals. He might not be in the AFC East, but his teams could still be a hurdle in the playoffs. Luckily, he got drafted by a team that never spends money to keep talent, or acquire free agent playmakers. The Pegula’s have been willing to spend money on this team. Allen’s continued growth combined with solid leadership from McD and Beane makes me less afraid of Burrow in the conference.

Not sure if Tyrod and Anthony Lynn share your feelings. -

He has the potential to be great. The wild card is if the dysfunctional Bengals franchise will build enough around him to realize his full potential. -

It seems like he has the ability to read the defense at a potentially elite level as well. That’s sometimes forgotten when people mention elite traits. -

He looks great, it’s not his fault but it’s almost tough imagining the Bengals ever having anything too nice. -

This artificial crowd noise seems really loud. Definitely not the small crowd making all that noise imo. -
These diva receivers are difficult to understand. OBJ went to worst the possible spot when he landed in Cleveland. Personalities like Beckham need structure, and established teammates who are proven leaders. Mayfield and Beckham were doomed from the start. Mayfield and OBJ share too many personality characteristics for OBJ to fall in line. It seems like Beckham has been the frustrated diva who’s been phoning it in for a while with Cleveland. There’s no reason to think he wouldn’t put up huge numbers in the right situation. It reminds me of back when Moss didn’t put much effort into his time with Oakland, but suddenly returned to his old self with the Pats. These guys need discipline, and they want the football. It takes a good QB to get you the football, and without that, they just shutdown.
-
Yeah, even 50% of the old Big Ben is a huge improvement over Duck Hodges and Mason Rudolph. They were a competitive team last season with a QB situation that was even worse than most assume.
-
Fake Meadowlands crowd noise should always include booing.
-
Absolutely, but they become a contender if the Roethlisberger of old somehow appears. Otherwise they’re just somewhere in the pack of decent teams.
-
I’ll admit to writing Roethlisberger off, but if he continues to make throws like that, the Steelers are going to be a good team.

Adam Gase on playing the Bills defense: “It’s chaotic”
SirAndrew replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, he’s basically saying his team is terrible, and he isn’t accountable for any of their failures. -
Agreed, I’d love to see fans back in the stadium, but right now we’re all aware they aren’t. Football Sunday was a great diversion, and I enjoyed it greatly. I learned that I just want to watch football. I don’t care if these games are played in a cornfield. There’s no need to provide a fake ambience. It would definitely be something more unique if we got to hear the on field action.
-
Beautiful stadium, you’d think SoCal would be the one place you wouldn’t need a dome though. I guess it basically serves the purpose of being a wall mount for a gigantic tv.

Exactly, this dude played college ball in Georgia. If he didn’t play in a hurricane, I’m certain he’s never experienced those winds in game action. He’s definitely never played in a stadium with a lower bowl below ground level, miles from a Great Lake. My point is the winds don’t just travel in a single direction, they swirl in all directions at that stadium. It’s always interesting to observe the flags on top of the upper deck. I’ve seen them all flying in different directions a few times. It’s challenging to even analyze where the wind is going. Give him a chance, it’s not easy to kick there.

So Darnold was seeing Casper again
SirAndrew replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll take Allen over Darnold everyday, but I’m not going to issue a final judgment on Darnold’s career until Gase is gone. The Jets franchise is an absolute joke, they are what we were 15 years ago. -

I have no idea when the Jets even scored 17 points. They never seemed to move the ball. -

I’m not a Darnold fan, but you have to feel for the guy being given Hogan as a starting WR. He doesn’t have much to work with. -

He was a turnover machine with a questionable arm in college, I’m not sure how he became universally accepted as being so “pro ready”.
