  1. Nice reference to Barkley’s evil QB rating 👍 I suppose that explains why he led Beasley to slaughter with that garbage time throw.
  2. It depends how many targets Sammy takes away from Sanders. 😂
  3. Brown had 72 receptions, and over 1,000 yards in 2019. I’d say that brings more to the table than just the occasional long ball. He wasn’t good last season, and I think injuries were the main factor. I’m good with moving on from Brown, but I think health is a bigger concern than ability.
  4. I think injuries are a huge factor. Brown can be just as productive as Sanders when healthy, but that’s a big question mark. Sanders also fits the mold of greater versatility that this team wants. I do disagree with all the people who act like Sanders is ten times the receiver Brown is.
  5. Maybe the narrative isn’t fair, but his career accomplishments make him seem like an underachiever. He’ll go off for over 200 yards and 3 TD’s one game, but go completely silent for the rest of the season. There’s enough catches to go around in the KC offense for Sammy to always get a few. Every season he has a great game followed by being invisible. I don’t know what else I can attribute that to. Somehow he managed to magically show up in the playoffs for KC as well. I get the take that the opposition eliminates him, so Mahomes picks other options. However, I don’t understand why a fifth overall draft choice vanishes for the majority of games he plays.
  6. Maybe they don’t want him back. He barely saw the field this season. I understand the talent Andy Reid saw in him, but he might be giving up at this point.
  7. I understand your point, this franchise was sad back in those days. However, Sammy actually had his best years in Buffalo. He’s been a bigger failure with LA and KC, than he was in Buffalo. Those teams had elite offenses, but he did very little apart from randomly looking elite in the playoffs with KC. The guy is hurt every season, and seems to put effort into playing only when he feels like it.
  8. I doubt this regime has interest. Sammy in Buffalo doesn’t necessarily equal Bills related stuff.
  9. There was a time Bills fans would have been stoked about Trubisky as starter.
  10. Many of the best TE’s are mid to late round draft picks. Finding a quality TE not only takes time, but it’s also a random crapshoot. It’s definitely a position I’m willing to spend resources on.
  11. I agree, and I like the Sanders signing. I just think that injuries to Brown significantly impacted his 2020 season. Sanders had superior 2020 stats, but Brown also had 72 catches in 2019 to Sanders 36 catches that year. Both players have their strengths and weaknesses. I’m not sure you could rely on Brown 2021, but I disagree with acting like Sanders is twice the player. People finding all these flaws in Brown seems like nitpicking just because we let him go.
  12. I think this is the best analysis considering the cost and talent of the players involved. I don’t see Sanders as an upgrade over Brown like others do. I think both guys are capable of similar production. I’m happy with the Sanders acquisition because it filled a need after letting Brown go. I see it as a lateral move. I don’t agree with all this talk about opponents shutting down Brown. Brown was shut down by physical defensive play both times against KC, but our entire offense got shut down by KC twice. Brown isn’t the most physical receiver, but people are talking about him like he disappears on a regular basis. What number two wideout doesn’t get shut down on occasion ? Let’s not act like Emmanuel Sanders is a player who’s impossible to take out of the game. The sole difference might be the injury situation. Sanders could contribute a lot more if he’s healthy next season, while Brown could have injury issues.
  13. Hilarious that a Bills forum is making Chicago weather jokes. 😂
  14. He did plenty good, but I’ll agree to disagree. Moss and Welker played over a decade ago. I’d be more concerned with BB as the GM over the last five seasons. Belichick has been below average in finding talent for that offense for many years.
  15. Absolutely, but obviously the GOAT at QB does a lot to help wideouts look good. I do think that Edelman and Welker are/were genuinely good players though. Welker had a decent final season with the Fish. I don’t think he’s elite without Brady, but he was becoming good player in his right. Those were all good signings imo. Most of their other WR signings since have been abysmal.
  16. For a team that had Moss, Welker, and Edelman. They sure have bad taste in the wideouts they choose to sign.
  17. Isn’t a terrible judge of collegiate talent generally a bad a GM ? The myth of BB brilliantly moving on from overpaid stars is overrated. He could move on from those big contracts because Brady continued to win games. Belichick’s inability to find any talent on offense ended Brady’s tenure.
  18. BB is one of the worst GM’s in the league. That’s the issue
  19. There’s a lot of backs we could pick up who’d look better than what we have imo.
  20. That’s ok, they’re stuck with Tua.
  21. The hysteria is a case of “ I know that guy”. I’m not saying he isn’t very talented, but you can get that production from other backs. Most NFL running backs look spectacular compared to the guys we’ve drafted who look stuck in quicksand.
  22. Fair enough, I’m just not seeing overly impressive numbers. Our backs are so slow and unproductive it makes a lot of guys look really good.
  23. Agree, but is he really that good anymore either ? Everyone is looking at his big numbers in KC. Has he done enough since to make me forget about him being so unlikable ? You should be able to get Hunt’s production from a lot of guys who don’t have the baggage.
  24. The Music City Miracle. I spent the weekend on a school outing, and recorded the game on VHS to watch when I got home. Instead, some kid on the bus was vocal in his joy about a Bills loss.
  25. People get so touchy about this kind of stuff, and somehow always internalize it to relate to their own life. Poyer posted his truth, regardless of how right or wrong it might be. It has nothing to do with anyone, but Poyer.
