  1. I love how this team showed up to play this week, it tells you a lot about them and the coaching staff.
  2. Yes, I’m also confused how Meyer keeps having his people mention “health problems” when it’s time to leave a program, but his name pops up for every job opening.
  3. Another shady college coach who was able to out recruit everyone. I’m sure that will translate to great NFL success.
  4. I just don’t understand why it’s ok for a mod to contribute judgement towards a player for getting Covid. This is unnecessary imo. I’m admittedly touchy about this topic, but it just doesn’t across good, and I’m genuinely not trying to be difficult. Just voicing my opinion, and I’m done.
  5. Ugh, January is going to be a really tough month to navigate around the league. It will be interesting.
  6. He’s definitely made more NFL throws than Lawrence tonight.
  7. I don’t care if the defender tipped that pass, that was a bad decision. No open man to begin with.
  8. Great point, he’s been anointed the next great one. I just have a tough time assessing the play of a guy who’s on a team that overwhelms most of their opponents. He really isn’t forced to truly carry the team. His backup looked great as well when he played.
  9. I’m not saying Lawrence doesn’t look like a great pro prospect, but that offense sure has talent all over the field. He can really just play point guard by getting the ball to his playmakers.
  10. Exactly, without getting into Covid science stuff, I’ll just say this situation kind of scares me when you have a positive on the opposition a few days before playing them. Especially considering the playoffs begin next week.
  11. I get it, and not being a Tua defender, but many pro athletes never see real snow or cold before playing in the pros.
  12. I don’t see any reason he can’t if there isn’t a blizzard. I think the cold itself can be a little overrated. Tua’s biggest problem is his own play, the elements are the least of his problems imo.
  13. Yeah, I love the old stadium, but I never realized how terrible the bathroom situation is until my last visit. In addition to sink peeing, you can miss a significant portion of the game waiting for the bathroom. I have no use for all the fancy bells and whistles these new stadiums have, but waiting 20 minutes to get an open stall is ridiculous, and it’s the one new stadium amenity I’d appreciate.
  14. Key word in the title is “quasi”. If it’s not completely meaningless, don’t do it. I’m really not a fan of resting starters under any circumstance anyway. Momentum is huge in the NFL, and we’ve seen it with so many Super Bowl runs in recent in years. It’s not always the best team, but the one with the most momentum.
  15. True, but I guess no one said that Frank won’t know 😂. Honestly though, Reich’s a pretty straightforward guy. I’m sure he won’t pay attention, and wants to play starters the entire game regardless. With that said, it really wouldn’t be bad if someone could relay a Bengals blowout to him so he could pull some starters.
  16. I had the same thought. I live in an area where I see pick up trucks everywhere, but rarely see an S-10 at this point.
  17. Agree. This is why I’m not a fan of leaving starters on the field with backups by choice. McD should be coach of the year, so I don’t even like to criticize, but it reminded me of the Jets game cluster last season where Josh played like two series without other starters. It seemed like something that had bad potential.
  18. Fair enough, I’ll admit that I haven’t really followed Brown’s career. I thought I’d read that his career had been bogged down by injury concerns, and that he was a guy with good production when not injured. I could just be thinking of the wrong guy.
  19. Yes, health is always a major factor. Josh has the huge arm that makes him special. Keeping the upper body in good shape is so important. That’s why I don’t want to see a called QB run ever again. Allow Josh to make plays by scrambling, or run the QB sneak, but keeping that arm healthy should always be in the back of everyone’s mind.
  20. Good move regardless of Beasley. I love Smoke, but John Brown has never been a reliable NFL player because of frequent injuries. He’s great when on the field, but that’s the issue. It’d be nice to have an option like Stills, even if Beasley is healthy because Brown is such a wildcard.
  21. Yeah, I don’t see why that shouldn’t happen. I would be curious to know what type of rules are in place for family at games though. Keeping them spaced to watch the game wouldn’t be a big deal, but I’m sure there’d be some type of restrictions to congregating with other families before and after the game. I could see that as a potential concern.
  22. You have a very valid point, but football is small in comparison to real life. What I’m saying comes from the prospective of a younger person, but I feel like I have as much responsibility as any football player. Infecting parents or grandparents could be far more damaging then ruining your team’s playoff hopes. Some people also work in environments where contracting Covid could lead to many deaths of others. That stuff is far bigger than an NFL player worried about ruining the season imo. I hate to get too serious because I understand it’s tough for everyone, and these players don’t want to test positive either. I guess what I’m saying is that my sympathy level for the stress they face is close to zero.
  23. No nanny 😂 , such a rough life being forced to parent.
  24. Sam Bradford was a franchise QB ? I think everyone agrees with your greater point that QB’s need a supporting cast, but true franchise QB’s overcome being on a weak team. Obviously they aren’t going to become Super Bowl champs, but it’s possible to succeed more than guys like Stafford and Bradford. Look at what Allen did with mediocre talent on offense last season. Allen has all the intangibles that separates him from the Bradford’s and Stafford’s of the world. QB’s are putting up insane numbers in today’s NFL. There’s so much more than just the numbers. I’m not saying Stafford is a bad QB, but he does lack plenty. Watson’s team is a having a bad season, I’ll cut Watson slack for that since he’s still putting up great numbers. With that said, if Watson QB’s a bunch of 5 wins teams for the rest of his career I’d begin to question him. I doubt that will happen because his intangibles are twice that of a Stafford.
