  1. The life of Brady is amazing. Refs hand him the silver spoon.
  2. I want Gronk to go WWE on Sorensen. He annoys me for some reason.
  3. It’s always been said that a coach sets the tone and attitude of a team. It wouldn’t be unreasonable to think Andy Reid might be a little distracted.
  4. Jones isn’t a very good back. People don’t realize the Bucs had a lower ranked run game than us. It’s remarkable they couldn’t punch it on two attempts.
  5. Exactly, but three does nothing against KC. Second guess not getting the ball to Gronk or Evans, but it’s still the right move to go for it imo.
  6. Arians is an idiot. Get the ball to a guy like Evans at least once.
  7. Except I am kind of annoyed that Brady’s team gets all these calls that no one else gets against the Chiefs. Calls like PI, and unnecessary roughness.
  8. Brady will get the holding calls against the Chiefs that no one else does.
  9. Same offense, our defense just has major issues, and it’s full of underachieving high draft choices. The Bucs have a talented defense. Contrary to media reports, this team wins for more reasons than just Brady.
  10. We don’t have the players imo. It a personnel issue, as well as a schematic issue.
  11. I’m not rooting for either team, but it’s fun to watch a defense that isn’t soft.
  12. TB ranks 28th rushing, Romo says they are a good rushing team.
  13. Agree, any Bucs win will also equal a Brady win. He could throw for 80 yards and 5 picks, but he’ll get all the credit if the Bucs win.
  14. I agree, whitewashing is the perfect definition. I can also see how someone might use the word “muzzled”, it could be more of an argument over semantics than the actual sentiment. Regardless, my biggest takeaway harkens back to a point you made in a previous post. There appears to be a disparity between the treatment of coaches and players. Would this whitewashed article be written about a player ? The league so often says the right thing, but something like this could easily be viewed as an insult to players.
  15. I just checked out NFL.com out of curiosity. I don’t know if I’ll say “muzzled”, but it is interesting how the accident is mentioned, but no mention of being under the influence in the article on the league website.
  16. All true, but did an article say a doctor prescribed the Aderall ? I’m not saying it isn’t possible, I’m just saying he could have gotten it anywhere.
  17. Nice review, I’ll have to check it out. I always wished I could have experienced 70’s and 80’s NFL football. I can only remember back to the 90’s, but even then it was definitely more fun. It seems like the entire world was more fun in the 70’s and 80’s from what I gather though.
  18. I don’t disagree with everything you’re saying, I just have a slightly different take. I never said that people from all employment backgrounds don’t run into trouble. That was never the case I’m making. I’m also not claiming the NFL is full of bad people. I’m actually making the case that your last paragraph makes. The fact the NFL needs to be tougher when a poor track record is there. I’m all about second chances, but I also like seeing people prove themselves before being given that chance. The NFL is the league of a million chances.
  19. Exactly, I realize you can’t predict life. Anything can happen with people from all walks of life, but the NFL could have prevented this black eye on Super Bowl weekend. I’m not saying that people without questionable pasts never find trouble, or those with pasts always find trouble again, but we aren’t talking about this sad story today if the league had standards.
  20. The scrutiny definitely plays a huge role. We don’t hear where the average Joe works when he gets arrested, but that isn’t the point. I consider the NFL a privilege. It’s the highest level of success a football player or coach can reach in his profession. I’d consider that a good job. How many good jobs can someone with DUI’s, drug offenses, and road rage charges get ? I know it’s possible to find work, but many employers aren’t going to hire that guy. I don’t understand why the NFL is different. I know if I had Reid’s record, I wouldn’t have a job right now.
  21. I agree, but I also think the NFL needs to raise their standards. I’m not sure how the specifics of that would work, but guys like this, and the Antonio Brown’s (yes, I realize he’s a far different scenario) of the world don’t need a thousand chances.
