  1. Pundits are too obsessed with Allen’s turnover history.
  2. I’m just a football guy at this point. I like other sports, but something about the pro versions don’t appeal to me. I’ve noticed a lot of laziness in sports that have long seasons. You’re aren’t getting much effort until playoff time. The NBA, NHL, and MLB used to have a little intensity during the regular season. A mid winter NBA game looks like practice now.
  3. The emphasis on being the tough guy has long been my issue with the Big Ten conference. I always preferred watching Big 12, PAC 10/12 football for this reason. I found the addition of the west coast teams intriguing to counter this in the Big Ten. It’s great that a team like Oregon introduces a new style to that conference. I think it’s much needed. The Big Ten supplies the NFL with exceptional offensive skill players, particularly many great receivers, but they aren’t always fully utilized in smash mouth Big Ten games. Ohio State historically seemed at their best when forced to open up the offense against high scoring SEC/Clemson opposition in bowl games. The conference matchups against Penn State and Michigan has been caveman football for years.
  4. Yeah, Ohio State seems incapable of creating a passing game against decent opponents. Day was successful with CJ Stroud, but has now failed with McCord and Howard. Neither of those guys are Stroud, but Ohio State is always loaded with receiver talent, and that should mean something. It’s like Day enjoys old school Big Ten battles that emphasize defeating the opponent physically, but that plays exactly to Michigan’s strength.
  5. The flag would have never happened if Ryan Day could coach. What a pathetic loss for OSU.
  6. I’ve always been a Syracuse fan having grown up attending games. Also had PA family who were big Penn State fans. I was a fan throughout the 90’s. Now they rank among my most disliked sports teams.
  7. Do those groups actually work these days?
  8. I’ve always wondered what motivates people to sign up for this. The only thing I can see is viewing it as community service for fellow fans to attend the game. I’m not rich, but can’t think of any financial motive for taking this as an odd job. I would not feel motivated enough to make the effort to leave home
  9. The tickets weren’t always a great benefit either. In those days inclement weather game tickets could be found for $5 and up.
  10. A national championship at Michigan in the 21st century wasn’t a given either. That school has good resources, but had fallen from the top, and he brought them to the top quickly.
  11. That style of glasses makes Jim Harbaugh look scary.
  12. Aikman and Buck talking up Mike McCarthy is hilarious.
  13. I know the negative aspects of college football are always discussed at length, but conference realignment and the playoff has made the game more competitive. This season has been entertaining with more parody. Consolidating winning programs into fewer conferences made the regular season much better, with excellent matchups.
  14. I don’t want to be overconfident, but I absolutely agree. I’m not convinced that KC is our biggest obstacle to a title. This might come down to getting past Baltimore, or even overcoming the physical play of someone like Pittsburgh.
  15. Great gutsy drive by Allen and the Bills. That was championship caliber, which is what we need to see.
  16. First big miss from Allen today.
  17. Yeah, some people are talking about our defense melting down, but I can only blame the players so much. We didn’t dial up anything remotely interesting on defense. We handed them yards in exchange for the clock running. Only problem is there’s a lot of time left. That’s a coaching choice.
  18. Somehow Noah Gray looks like the next Kelce.
  19. Nothing but positive things to say about coaches and players today, but this is not championship defensive coaching. This isn’t Mahomes brilliance, this is a soft zone defense, willingly giving up yards.
  20. I don’t get the philosophy at all. We’ve played them fine all day, with minimal big plays, why worry about that now?
  21. This is who I thought Samuel was going to be.
  22. Great ball placement on the throw to Shakir. It was a big part of the long gain.
  23. Long yard for the sneak. They are lucky.
