  1. I love attending sporting events and concerts. They give something to look forward to, and I always have a great time. However, they only last a few hours, and typically I don’t remember much. Once the cost reaches this point, it’s impossible for me to justify. There are too many other ways to spend that much.
  2. I’m a huge music person, and find something to appreciate about most genres. There’s great classical stuff out there, and a lot sounds like it could be pop/rock music. You can definitely hear the influence of classical on future music styles, and I find that very intriguing when hearing music that’s often hundreds of years old. I lean more towards small chamber ensembles, classical guitar, and solo piano. The sound of a full orchestra sometimes sounds like an overwhelming mess, although I’m aware the musicians are spectacular. I like classical, but must be in the right mood. I never realized how much lyrics mean in music, until I became interested in classical. Popular music is easier to connect because each song has a subject matter, and each artist has a personal style.
  3. True, I think we’re capable of beating mediocre teams with mostly the run game.
  4. I guess I wouldn’t see it as an issue if I had faith in their other QB’s. Yes, it’s ridiculous, but all of those guys could struggle. Dillon Gabriel is a strange prospect, and the other QB’s are just bad.
  5. Shadeur looking good could actually be the worst case scenario for the Browns. People are going to be calling for Shadeur immediately.
  6. I want to see improvement against KC in the playoffs, or hopefully just avoid them straight to a Super Bowl victory. McD is a great coach. However, I’ll never feel comfortable about our chances while this apparent mental block against KC exists. This coaching staff and team is absolutely intimidated by KC in the playoffs. The decision making ability of the staff goes straight down the toilet against KC in the playoffs. It’s exactly what people nervous people do. Blame Kincaid, the officials, or whoever you want for the AFCCG loss, but we made some really awful coaching decisions in that game. No one will ever change my mind on that.
  7. I agree, Allen’s picks never bothered much at all. I know many disagree, but those same risks also produce incredible feats. Allen can recover from a pick. Scoring drives aren’t at a premium with Allen. You have a chance to score every time he has the ball. The average QB has a limited number of those opportunities, and picks are devastating.
  8. Yeah, I’ve never had an issue getting out. It helps that I’m not driving towards Rochester. With that said, there are plenty of ways around the congestion of Main Street Canandaigua to get back to Rochester. The actual parking lot exit itself was never bad for me. I’ve sat in the Darien Lake parking lot for hours.
  9. Coleman can make elite plays, but one dropped ball for every jump ball win isn’t what you need. Consistent hands with routine play ability is more valuable than a few big plays. If you get the big plays along with reliability, that’s what makes a receiver elite.
  10. I’m confused, we have screenshots of reporters on social media stating that Allen was part of 7 on 7, but people are claiming he didn’t take the field at all tonight.
  11. I have the same issue with my yard, and it makes it impossible to enjoy nice spring days. Spring seems like it should be a nice season, but typically just rains all the time. In WNY it’s not the passing summer rain type either, it’s cold rain all day long. Spring in WNY just feels more like a continuation of late winter minus the snow, and suddenly summer shows up.
  12. His stats from the second year and MVP season look quite elite. I’m not sure I understand this argument, unless you’re stating that becoming elite requires seniority. Jackson definitely had shortcomings as a passer in his second season, but I still think he does. He’s just such an amazing athlete that people have now overlooked those shortcomings.
  13. Kudos to Kyle Brandt for actually finding a reason to justify marriage in 2025.
  14. The modern culture of forced apologies is awful. You’re not sorry for anything but getting caught when you issue an apology the next day. I’m not even judging anyone, I just don’t understand how making people apologize benefits society. In that case, this was clearly one of the best moments of their lives, and they probably don’t even realize it.
  15. Kudos to his courage and drive, but I’ll never understand how he was even cleared to play on that leg. I guess it was his choice, but it’s crazy.
  16. I think that putting a specific price tag on this doesn’t work. It depends too much on each individual’s financial status, age, and level of greed. The real question should be, is there ANY amount of money you’d take for the Bills never win a Super Bowl? I love this team, but if your answer is no, you’re too insanely devoted imo.
  17. I never changed the variable, I said “starting lineup” in my first post. My point is if the NFL drafted 14 Ohio State players, I think Ohio State might be able to beat a UFL team. That was the original topic. Some of those guys will be NFL starters, and the rest will be UFL level guys. The UFL doesn’t have any NFL starting caliber players, so why couldn’t OSU beat a UFL team? How is 82% of OSU’s starting lineup future salesmen if 14 guys got drafted this year? I don’t get your math, but I appreciate your take, I just disagree. This is a statistical extreme, that’s a good point, but I think it’s going to be common in the NIL world of college football. I’ve noticed the NFL draft increasingly dominated by several college teams.
  18. 14 Ohio State players were chosen in the 2025 draft alone, and that doesn’t include underclassmen on the 2024 roster who will declare in future years.
  19. You’re right, but I said “starting lineup”. I think most guys in the starting lineup of elite teams at least get a chance in one of the various pro leagues. I wasn’t necessarily referring to the entire roster.
  20. The starting lineups of elite college teams are definitely not 95% future salesmen. The majority of Ohio State starters are going to see the NFL in some capacity, and the rest will be in the CFL, or the UFL. I agree, a guy like Kyle McCord who couldn’t cut it at Ohio State in 2023 would probably be the best UFL QB. There are a lot of college teams that have better QB play than anyone in the UFL. NFL rosters often carry up to three QB’s. The NFL is taking most of the QB talent, that leaves the UFL with nothing at the position.
  21. I agree about overpaying Cook, but I don’t love the way this situation has played out. We made the choice to move to a scheme that was more run heavy. Cook produced, and now we don’t want to pay him that amount. I think it would be a huge overpay, but the run heavy scheme would need to be thrown out without Cook. Additionally, this run heavy scheme means nothing if we can’t gain one yard on multiple occasions in a title game. Unfortunately, most fans prefer to blame Kincaid. We’re possibly in the Super Bowl if we knew how to pick up one yard.
  22. Any of the Josh Allen era playoff losses. It’s just too fresh, and frustrating.
  23. They’re fine anyways, they just move on to Yankees baseball, and will return when the Giants are good someday.
  24. I think it was very much a regional and who you hang around with type thing. I wasn’t around then, but heard stories from parents. The 70’s were before the internet, and people lives were based on what others did in their social circle. I assume that created larger differences in the choices people made back then. I think community and ethnicity made a huge difference in the 70’s. My grandparents were from Buffalo, and you weren’t going to a wedding in most ethnic neighborhoods without alcohol being freely served. It’s very much part of German, Italian, and Eastern European culture. You could also get a really good deal on an open bar if you held a reception at a community/ethnic gathering spot. I think this might be why some people had that experience, especially growing up in northern/midwestern cities.
  25. To be fair, if there’s no alcohol for religious/personal beliefs, chances are many attendees are probably on a similar page. I have people like that in my extended family. In certain parts of this country, alcohol isn’t part of every function, like it is in Buffalo or the Midwest. The drinkers in those crowds just hide a flask of whiskey in their pocket, I’ve seen it. With that said, I definitely want an open bar, and if money is the reason it’s not happening, you’re going to have bigger problems trying maintain a marriage then.
