  1. I could see Trubisky benefitting from his time in Buffalo without seeing the field. The Bills are finally a well respected franchise. League wide opinion of our management and coaching staff is very positive. It’s possible that teams will assume Trubisky learned more about the game here, regardless of how much game action he sees. Quality game film in 2021 is obviously Trubisky’s greatest chance for a big contract, but I think he’ll benefit just from being here. Don’t underestimate how much a year away from the Bears can help him either. Trubisky could benefit just from the human tendency to have a short memory. He’ll look more appealing to teams without coming off another below average year as starter with the Bears.
  2. I agree, it’s really that simple. Backup QB in 2022 is something that doesn’t remotely stress me. It’s a luxury to draft a decent backup, otherwise you just sign a dependable free agent. It’s not like there’s many elite backup QB’s.
  3. I was actually agreeing with him, and just explaining why I see it the same way. It was probably poorly written.
  4. Goff was simply part of the deal the Lions had to accept to get rid of Stafford. Jared Goff might do great things for the Lions, but I think they’d consider that a bonus. I’m surprised how many people think the Lions want Goff as their future.
  5. I was about to say, another question is, “ Am I the only one who didn’t know Sidney exists ? “. Kudos to Bills fans, they really do know their team.
  6. Yeah, I think the Giants should have went after Fitz. They could have let Jones sit a year, and take advantage of those talented skill position players to win a very weak division.
  7. There’s no arguing that point, but I think situations make a difference. Josh Allen has more natural ability than Daniel Jones could dream of. Allen also showed more than Jones the season before we went all in on Diggs. Josh Allen’s potential made the Diggs trade seem like the right thing to do. The Giants probably shouldn’t be doubling down on Jones as their future. How many people outside of the Giants front office actually believe that Daniel Jones is a future star ? NFL teams cling to their poor choices for too long out of pride imo.
  8. I agree with your assessment of punt returns, although I didn’t even think about that. That’s all the more reason why I hope to find a reliable return man. I’d rather have a dependable, yet unspectacular return man, over an inexperienced rookie with home run hitter potential. I’m good with drafting a guy for his future ability to be our return man, but I think our current roster is too good let a rookie field kicks. A McKelvin situation isn’t what you want on a team with hopes of contending.
  9. Big Ben did have the fourth most attempts of any QB in the league last season. Only Brady, Mahomes, and Allen had more. I’d still assume the Bucs, Chiefs, and Bills would all be very happy with a number two WR having 97 receptions. Your point is valid, especially considering Big Ben’s short passes, but calling him an average number two is a stretch imo.
  10. JuJu might want to be the star of the show, as evidenced by the dancing bit. He can be the star in Pittsburgh. That’s all I can think of. He had 97 catches last season. I’d say he’s well above an average number two.
  11. He is from SoCal, he might have learned some cult leader skills 😆
  12. I actually understand how some Bills fans might think Winfield wasn’t that great. He was a good player with us, but he didn’t become an all around great player before going to the Vikings. We never saw his full potential realized in Buffalo. Instead, we’d go on to draft corners in the first round year after year.
  13. Great teammate, and he was the perfect backup for the past few years. Josh needed a mentor early in his career, not someone who could steal his job. You take the losses if Barkley steps in, because having a high character mentor was more important. Allen is now fully established as starter, and our needs at that position change as a result.
  14. Great point, but there’s also part of me that thinks our roster is too good to put a rookie out there returning kicks. You never know how a guy is going to react at this level. There’s something about that position that make rookies scare me. The importance of kick returns have diminished due to rule changes, and you’re most likely to notice the returner only when he makes a mistake. Rookies tend to make a lot of them, I’d hate to lose a game that way.
  15. Good call, I remember when Bills fans expected big time players to come play with Kelly Holcomb. When we missed out they’d blame Buffalo for not having enough culture or opera houses.
  16. Nice reference to Barkley’s evil QB rating 👍 I suppose that explains why he led Beasley to slaughter with that garbage time throw.
  17. It depends how many targets Sammy takes away from Sanders. 😂
  18. Brown had 72 receptions, and over 1,000 yards in 2019. I’d say that brings more to the table than just the occasional long ball. He wasn’t good last season, and I think injuries were the main factor. I’m good with moving on from Brown, but I think health is a bigger concern than ability.
  19. I think injuries are a huge factor. Brown can be just as productive as Sanders when healthy, but that’s a big question mark. Sanders also fits the mold of greater versatility that this team wants. I do disagree with all the people who act like Sanders is ten times the receiver Brown is.
  20. Maybe the narrative isn’t fair, but his career accomplishments make him seem like an underachiever. He’ll go off for over 200 yards and 3 TD’s one game, but go completely silent for the rest of the season. There’s enough catches to go around in the KC offense for Sammy to always get a few. Every season he has a great game followed by being invisible. I don’t know what else I can attribute that to. Somehow he managed to magically show up in the playoffs for KC as well. I get the take that the opposition eliminates him, so Mahomes picks other options. However, I don’t understand why a fifth overall draft choice vanishes for the majority of games he plays.
  21. Maybe they don’t want him back. He barely saw the field this season. I understand the talent Andy Reid saw in him, but he might be giving up at this point.
  22. I understand your point, this franchise was sad back in those days. However, Sammy actually had his best years in Buffalo. He’s been a bigger failure with LA and KC, than he was in Buffalo. Those teams had elite offenses, but he did very little apart from randomly looking elite in the playoffs with KC. The guy is hurt every season, and seems to put effort into playing only when he feels like it.
  23. I doubt this regime has interest. Sammy in Buffalo doesn’t necessarily equal Bills related stuff.
  24. There was a time Bills fans would have been stoked about Trubisky as starter.
  25. Many of the best TE’s are mid to late round draft picks. Finding a quality TE not only takes time, but it’s also a random crapshoot. It’s definitely a position I’m willing to spend resources on.
