  1. I like your humor. As a lifelong resident of the Rochester area with family from Buffalo, I’ve often made fun of the area. However, it’s a decent place to live. I’m not sure if I see much decent about Syracuse. It looks like the Scranton of NY, but to each their own. Apart from SU basketball and St.Patty’s Day, I wouldn’t say Syracuse does much well. The metro Rochester area is much more desirable imo.
  2. I know the OP mentioned it’s not just Trubisky alone in this trade scenario, but why would the Saints want Trubisky? If Hill and Winston fail to make the Saints winners, it’s hard to believe Trubisky will. I think Trubisky was a great signing. We needed an upgrade over Barkley, but I don’t think Trubisky is any better than Winston or Hill.
  3. Her stream name is probably a reference to the first divorce 😂
  4. Agree. Tebow is almost as big as God in North Florida. The Jags have already won from a marketing prospective for sure. That’s why I’ve said time and time again on this topic, I’ve got nothing against Tebow, but there are plenty of non football reasons the Jags have Tebow on the roster. The jersey sales prove that.
  5. I’m actually happy for Tebow, I’m not trying to bring anyone down. It’s just clear that Meyer is doing Tebow a favor by giving him a chance. Tebow bust out of the league as a QB, and is now 33 years old. How many guys have returned at a new position after failing as an NFL QB. A 33 year old former QB learning to play TE doesn’t seem very practical. I also have no issue with his attempt at minor league baseball. I just think it’s disingenuous to say he was a AAA level player. The Mets needed publicity, and Urban Meyer thinks he’s an asset. There’s nothing inherently wrong with those things, but I also think it’s fair to point them out.
  6. Don’t forget Gregg Williams and Mike Mularkey. They’re in the meathead crowd without question.
  7. Agree, meathead coaches are no longer successful in the NFL. The Bills drought era coaches prove that point clearly.
  8. I always assumed it was just one of those places that warehouses parolees.
  9. There’s a lot of posters who really don’t like Flutie as a person. I’m shocked how many people have such a strong opinion. I’m not sure if all those people knew him on a personal level, or it’s just assumptions. I’ve seen a lot of bad takes because of it, with people acting like the Flutie vs Johnson battle was a close race. Most reasonable people understand that Flutie wasn’t an elite QB, but they should also know that Johnson was total garbage. It’s just a bad football take to claim Johnson was close to Flutie as a QB.
  10. I’m thinking it’s the same reason as MTV. The internet made their original purpose obsolete. ESPN moved to the predominant television news style format, just as MTV moved to the reality show format.
  11. He really has a Pee Wee Herman vibe in that picture too.
  12. True, but he didn’t earn a spot in AAA. The Mets used him to generate interest. I really don’t care, it’s just clear that Tebow gets opportunities few other athletes are granted. I’m not upset by Tebow living his life, but I also don’t understand why some are offended by others pointing out the fact Tebow hasn’t really earned any of this. I’m willing to listen when Tebow becomes a productive tight end. I’m also willing to admit I’m wrong at that point.
  13. I fully agree, this isn’t about Tebow the person, it’s about being the type of move a bad franchise makes. Tebow as a TE provides nothing from a football prospective. It’s a move that could lose a team. There’s no worse culture in any workplace than one that demonstrates no need to earn your position. I wouldn’t aspire to running my franchise/team like the NY Mets, who were the only baseball team that would have made Tebow AAA player. I just struggle understanding what football related positive comes from this.
  14. My issue is the fact that Tebow has done nothing to earn all of these opportunities. He’s a 33 year old QB bust who was given the chance to play AAA baseball, and now play TE in the NFL. The dude hadn’t played baseball since high school, and didn’t even earn the right to go up to AAA. He’s never shown that he’s a good pro athlete, and is the only dude in the world who’d be given this chance.
  15. I agree. Winning is the best way to expand a fan base. SJF is a great training camp site, but the team no longer has a real need for Russ Brandon’s carnival in Rochester.
  16. I think training is really cool for kids. I remember going twice as a kid, and it was thrilling to see players up close. The opportunity to get autographs was also a big draw. I no longer care about attending training camp. It doesn’t do much for me as an adult. I’d rather use my time and money to attend a game. Nothing against those who enjoy training camp, but I wouldn’t miss it. NFL players/teams aren’t exactly the hardest practicing bunch, and not much that holds any intrigue happens in front of fans.
  17. I remember when everyone celebrated the SI photo of Drayton Florence returning a Brady pick six, yet Chan Gailey was our head coach. If we could be proud of those moments, why can’t Arizona have theirs.
  18. I thought I was the only who didn’t have a great recollection of the Singletary drop. I didn’t even remember it. Revoke my Bills fan card if you must, but I was quite tuned out during that game. The anticipation leading up to the game quickly vanished when it was clear we were outmatched. That was clear from the first snap imo.
  19. I agree, but I think I could better accept Jets vs Jags if the list was titled “Most Intriguing Games of 2021”. I can’t place that game in the top ten best matchups, as the article states comprise this list.
  20. Is getting OBJ back actually a good thing for the Browns ?
  21. I thought Rex was the perfect fit because he rode his Jets defense to an AFC title game, without great QB play. We didn’t have our QB yet, and I thought a defensive mastermind could win games while we continued to search for our QB. I also didn’t realize he had gotten so lazy. The NY media often mentioned this, but I never take them particularly seriously.
  22. Fair enough, but I think I’d actually be alright with Roscoe Parrish as a sixth round pick. You’re correct in pointing out the poor usage of a second round pick for that type of player. However, I think a player like Parrish would actually be a decent contributor in Daboll’s offense with a QB like Allen.
  23. That’s the most likely scenario, but if some of these guys step up during trading camp that could change things imo. I guess it depends how much they value Hughes as a mentor. If they think they can get equal production from other guys, it might just be time to move on from the vet. Hughes is on a two year deal that is team friendly, which is why I considered letting him go an unlikely hot take.
