  1. That’s a good take, but I could also make an argument that regardless of QB, it matters who’s catching the ball. The Chiefs don’t have great receiving depth behind Kelce and Hill. We can put Diggs, Sanders, Beasley, Davis, Knox, and even McKenzie out there. When Mahomes is up against other great QB’s, in many ways his offense is often at a disadvantage. Those risky throws are often catches with better receivers, and turnovers from guys like Pringle don’t happen as frequently with better depth at that position.
  2. That’s true, but I think KC’s concern should be other teams figuring out how to play that perfect game. Everything has a formula in this world, and although the Chiefs are a strong team, the book on how to beat them has been written. You still need the right personnel and good coaching to do so, we certainly have all of that.
  3. OJ on the Wall of Fame isn’t a great example of the NFL’s hypocrisy. Mention Tyreek, Big Ben, or Joe Mixon, then we have a legitimate conversation.
  4. Yeah, NFL officials are really bad, but that bias has always existed. I remember when you couldn’t throw a strike to Jeter during the Yankees championship runs.
  5. This doesn’t pertain to the topic, but it got me thinking. I’d love to see all the years of Rex Ryan emails.
  6. I don’t know where fun trolling just becomes dumb. It’s like a comedian who runs out of funny material. I realize that sports radio thrives off people who don’t really understand sports, but it’s getting to the point where anyone can see that Allen is good. Wright’s bit becomes more unreasonable as Allen continues to thrive. At some point he needs a new role. It doesn’t even upset me, it’s just plain dumb. If you want to do overrated QB hot takes, go pick on someone like Stafford who hasn’t even won a playoff game. Wright digging on this is unlistenable, even if I weren’t a Bills fan. You need to maintain some credibility, and saying that Allen is trash at this point doesn’t give a guy credibility.
  7. He’ll win it if he plays like that every prime time game this season.
  8. Davis is a very good player, but I agree with your assessment of him. It seems like people are sensitive whenever I question Davis’ future is on the depth chart. I’m not convinced he’s a great number two either. Sanders was a huge pickup, and just shows the brilliance of this franchise. We’d be a completely different team without Sanders. Davis is a huge contributor to this team, but he certainly can’t replace Sanders at this point in his career.
  9. You are spot on, I agree, and certainly have no complaints about our game plan last night. I just think there’ll be plenty of games where the third receiver gets more chances when the situation calls for it. I don’t think it’s a matter of not having a place for that third receiver like some seem to believe. As you mentioned, we just went with the backs last night instead.
  10. I agree, but I also think there’s room for a third receiver. Much of the underneath stuff that could have gone to Beasley or Davis went to Moss and Singletary last night. Knox’s development impacts the amount of targets other guys get, but I believe there’s room for a slot guy, in addition to a pair of great outside guys.
  11. I think that Davis has plenty of raw talent, and he made some big plays last season, but I’ve often questioned if Davis is as good as many assume. He hasn’t become a consistent force in this offense, and owes some of his early success to playing with Allen. There’s isn’t much to complain about after a win like that, but we are typically a better offense when Beasley is productive.
  12. The crew still refuses to talk about the Bills. They are morning the potential decline for KC instead.
  13. I love Daboll when he actually runs his offense. I just don’t like the weird alternate version that happens when we have a lead in the second half.
  14. Allen has some great receivers, but man, this guy just does it all himself. He can really carry the team.
  15. Moss and Singletary’s ineptitude make me appreciate Allen all the more.
  16. Finally a decent first down call.
  17. Let’s open it up on third and long, but run a bunch of garbage on first and second. We are lucky the roughing call bailed us out. Daboll needs to get better right now.
  18. This has been the most predictable drive ever between the refs and Daboll’s play calling.
  19. Who would have guessed that play call?
  20. That’s too close for comfort.
  21. The same crew called the Super Bowl last year, and did the same thing. The league didn’t care one bit.
  22. Let them call a Jags game.
  23. Well, they did get the ratio wrong.
  24. Daboll has been amazing, but that was his typical predictable drive after the big defensive play.
  25. Awesome play by the rookie. Love Rosseau. Thanks, because Collinsworth was starting to make me feel uncomfortable while sharing his feelings for Mahomes. Now he suddenly says it’s a nightmare night for KC.
