Official Whiskey of the Buffalo Bills
SirAndrew replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t understand it either, I always thought all the flavored vodkas would be enough to satisfy that market. When you can buy any flavor vodka your heart desires, why do we need every flavor whiskey ? It really has less to do with enjoying an actual alcoholic beverage, and more to do with young people wanting to get drunk as fast as possible. -
Losman, Spiller take rolls with Clemson
SirAndrew replied to ManCrushPassRush's topic in College Football
I think these type of jobs are sometimes more of a courtesy thing and paycheck for an alum Iike Spiller. Who knows how much responsibility Spiller actually has. -
That’s fair, I think I just like the events that don’t receive all the hoopla. I really enjoyed watching the hammer throw on an NBC networks last night. A Polish dude won, but an American Cornell grad took the silver. There’s something pure and true to the Olympic spirit about the lesser known athletes achieving their dreams in less popular sports. There’s nothing wrong with all the fluff pieces, or star athlete credit card commercials, but I also love seeing the other athletes who worked just as hard.
-
Fair enough, I probably misinterpreted some things I read. I’ve just noticed that some people are starting to root more for individual athletes than the country itself. NBC’s coverage makes it such a soap opera geared toward individual stories over country imo.

I’m glad everyone is stoked that US women’s soccer lost, it’s kind of sad really.

Who's our next joique bell for RB's this off season
SirAndrew replied to Sugar High JA17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Something tells me this post is a Joique. -
Solid take. It’s always good to hear someone who can be a fan, without delusions about the importance of the sport. We all love our Bills football, or we wouldn’t be here. That doesn’t mean there aren’t more significant things in the world as a whole. It’s kind of a lame threat imo. The Pegula’s and the rest of the planet have always known there’s more money to be made elsewhere. Buffalo was the spot because they allegedly felt some attachment to the city. Use any city you want as leverage, but in the end they either want to be in Buffalo, or elsewhere. I think it’s just a threat, but it’s a ridiculous one.

I had first row seats behind the Bills bench for a game about ten years, and I felt the same. I’m not a big guy, but I wasn’t floored by how big everyone was. I was also surprised by how many players just had big athletic builds, opposed to insane muscles. I’ve seen a lot of crazier looking muscles in local gyms.

I get your point, I’m just saying that it’s really tough to judge her when all things are considered. The sport and mental health could be one in the same when it directly involved the sport. It was a sports performance issue, but whether or not she stuck it out could have been determined by other factors. The fact that she stayed in gymnastics is a testament to her strength imo.
-
I’ve sadly known too many people who suffered abuse at various points of their lives. Things often go from being just fine to being an issue. She may very well have stayed in the sport with an idea that she’s now doing if for herself, and owes nothing to US gymnastics. I typically agree with the “softening” of America takes, but I believe there are circumstances and exceptions. It’s weird there’s almost more outrage against Biles then there ever was against Naseer 🤔 Our society is becoming soft, but the world has no place for what happened with US gymnastics, and it makes me sympathetic towards any issues some of these competitors might have.

I’ve also seen many marriages ruined by “golf”. -
Madden NFL 22 WR Ratings Released Today. Diggs is 4th
SirAndrew replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t care how Allen compares to other QB’s, it’s the 88 rating that’s ridiculous. I couldn’t care where he ranked, had they given a rating that could be justified. -
Bills Defining Moments The 2015 Season
SirAndrew replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The 2015 were a really unlikable team. They didn’t have any real “villians”, but were filled with underachievers, low effort guys, low football IQ guys, Rex Ryan, and EJ Manuel. Rex was a disastrous coach, but he did have some success in NY. I didn’t like his system or believe he was a good coach, but the way that roster immediately quit on the team because they didn’t like Rex’s defense was also pretty sad. There were a lot of bad attitudes in that locker room during those years. -
Anything you look back on fondly that hasn’t aged well?
SirAndrew replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Is it officially a loss when you’re still fighting ? 😂 -
Yeah, I never want to be against change just for the sake of it, but it feels like the fans are the losers. It reminds of what’s happening to minor league baseball. I agree about the ACC needing to make a move, and I think it will eventually be a necessity if they want to survive. I follow Syracuse football, simply because I live in the area and enjoy college football. It’s not easy being an SU football fan, but I enjoy having the opportunity to watch major college football. I worry that teams like SU will be relegated to mid majors if football decisions outweigh all else. As league mergers continue, how many bottom feeder programs will other leagues except ? A league like the ACC is filled with bottom feeders in football. Many of whom aren’t the greatest revenue generating programs either. I’m quite certain there’s plenty of Southern mid major football programs who out-earn programs like Boston College. I think an ACC merger with the SEC would be interesting, because it would completely change the complexion of college sports. I think there’d be a lot of teams searching for new homes after being left out by the SEC.

Giants cut Kelvin Benjamin for what??
SirAndrew replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, you don’t have to think Benjamin is great to believe that Judge is a joke. The Giants are a mess, hence the effort to convert Benjamin to TE in the first place. -
She should have stuck it out, I did so for my Little League team 😆 I say that jokingly, because that’s how some sports fans sound. I don’t even think it’s fair to compare football players or the like to gymnasts. They are two different beasts. Biles has been through a lot, and I don’t think it’s fair to judge what she might be struggling with.

Team USA basketball loses 2nd game in a row
SirAndrew replied to Brennan Huff's topic in Off the Wall
I enjoy the Olympics, but can’t stand NBC’s coverage. I’ll never forget a couple years where someone with NBC said something along the lines of, “more women watch the games who aren’t necessarily sports fans, we need to create drama and storylines because they like the stories more than sport”. Not only is that a gross comment, but it’s exactly how NBC covers the Olympics, and it ruins it for sports fans imo. -

It's Time to Mandate Vaccines

Yeah, it took me a while to catch on to that one. I wasn’t sure if Cheektawarsaw became socially unacceptable or something 😆 -
Yeah, the flip flopping on these issues has been amazing. I think much of it is due to the movement of liberalism away from union halls and into the suburbs. There are too many people who say all the “right” things, but the current system works too good for them for to want change. Liberalism has become focused on social issues with the economic issues playing second fiddle. I’ve been shocked to see liberal Twitter accounts posting things like, “let’s just get over the fact it’s made in China, the affordability is what’s best for our economy”. Well educated liberals don’t care what’s happening in the rural or intercity, when their cul de sac is doing just fine.
