I’m not sure why people think OP has some stellar infrastructure. It’s a bunch of two lane roads that lead to expressways. Most NFL stadiums are located next to multiple expressway paths. I’ve never had as much of an issue leaving a Sabres game, as I do Bills games or Darien Lake concerts out in the cow pasture.

Your final sentence is my entire issue with Bease, and much of what I hear in society as a whole. Make your personal choice, that’s fine, but why must people go on and on about how they refuse to follow whatever guidelines are established as a result ? We’ve become a society that believes in only following rules they deem suitable, and this is an issue that transcends politics.

New NFL-NFLPA Covid protocols
SirAndrew replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree, but as many have mentioned, the issue is with team leaders previously saying this topic stays in house. This is different than the typical political stuff imo. It’s a divisive issue in many workplaces. Distractions are the last thing you want for your football team. Reasonable people can disagree about politics, while maintaining a friendship, although we’re told that’s impossible these days. This issue is about procedures that affect the daily routine of players. If you have too many guys dissatisfied about it, you have a negative work climate. I’m confident it will all work out just fine. The culture of this team has proven to win out every time. I just didn’t think it was the proper forum for Bease to rant, and there’s nothing political about that. -
New NFL-NFLPA Covid protocols

Fair enough, it just seems that addressing the issue behind closed doors would have been preferable. It’s not the fact that he voiced his disagreement with the union. I took issue when he went off on a social media tantrum. He has every right to file his grievances with his union, and voice his dissatisfaction. There’s just no need to voice uninformed personal beliefs while bickering with fans, after team leaders stated this topic won’t be discussed in public. Cole has every right to advocate for himself, but he also needs to remember that a union represents 100% of the players. When workers are divided 50/50 on an issue, comprises and concessions are going to be made. The union doesn’t represent the unvaccinated at a greater level than the vaccinated, so they are in a tough spot. He’s free to voice his opinion, but should also be aware that nothing is going to fully satisfy both sides. The NFLPA has many interests they need to protect. Cole works under a system with boundaries. He can go through the proper channels in an attempt to change things, but ultimately needs to be comfortable with his own decision and their consequences. Ranting about the flu on Twitter doesn’t seem like a man who’s willing to accept choices and consequences. -
New NFL-NFLPA Covid protocols

Forget about the subject matter, I don’t even want to discuss that part. My issue is the fact that Beasley feels such a need to be heard. It’s simply a case of self above team. If he has an issue with NFLPA, he should be free to address that in the proper forum. Instead he’s using his platform to share personal thoughts that stray from being solely a team related issue. There’s no need to convince the public of anything, he’s free to believe whatever he chooses, but take up the issue with the proper people. That’s a much better option than engaging in such non-process style attention seeking. -
Kyler Murray is not a Cowboys Fan
SirAndrew replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, the wins have to come at some point. People get lost in statistics, often forgetting how insane QB stats have been inflated in recent years. Rookie QB’s putting up impressive numbers has become the norm. You still get your busts like Rosen, but people are being fooled by numbers these days. -
This^ I don’t think it’s fair to say Mac Jones won’t amount to anything, but doesn’t it seem like he’s been treated if he were a first round pick ?
-
No surprise imo, but it’s funny how many media folks anointed Mac Jones as a great selection. Jones is just another mid round QB, but he’s getting all these props because BB is supposed to make him the next Brady.

Jerry Hughes, the longest tenured Buffalo Bill
SirAndrew replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was a point in Hughes’ career where he got lots of bogus penalties based on reputation. I’m also certain that playing for Rex Ryan didn’t help. Ryan teams were not only undisciplined, they also get placed under the microscope from refs due to Ryan’s reputation. -
Bills 2021 Training Camp will be at OBD
SirAndrew replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The number of practices open to the public at SJF was reduced each year during the McBeane years, well before COVID. You can point to many factors, but the writing had been on the wall for a while imo. I realize neither Beane or McD would acknowledge it publicly, but you can’t always take those type of comments at face value. -
The Russell Wilson miss from Nix is incredible. How was a franchise with no QB not willing to risk a third round pick on a QB ? Disregard the concerns regarding Wilson’s statue, a third round pick isn’t much to waste when you have a need at QB. I suppose Russell Wilson is probably very blessed he didn’t go to Buffalo in 2012. Who knows where his career would be had he begun with such a dysfunctional franchise.

Is there another hurdle JA needs to hop over?
SirAndrew replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree, it’s a team issue. If our D neutralized Mahomes the way Tampa did, I fully believe we would have been in the Super Bowl. The KC loss was a team failure. Instead the narrative became Brady beating Mahomes, when in reality the Bucs team beat KC. I agree with this, I also think it doesn’t help calm Allen when the team around him is falling apart. It’s like we completely lose all our fundamentals when playing KC. The receivers drop passes, guys are missing blocks, and Allen comes unglued. Hopefully Allen and the team can overcome that, although even a guy like Brady looked rattled in a couple Super Bowls imo. That’s what happens when the team falls apart in unison. -
I like your humor. As a lifelong resident of the Rochester area with family from Buffalo, I’ve often made fun of the area. However, it’s a decent place to live. I’m not sure if I see much decent about Syracuse. It looks like the Scranton of NY, but to each their own. Apart from SU basketball and St.Patty’s Day, I wouldn’t say Syracuse does much well. The metro Rochester area is much more desirable imo.

I know the OP mentioned it’s not just Trubisky alone in this trade scenario, but why would the Saints want Trubisky? If Hill and Winston fail to make the Saints winners, it’s hard to believe Trubisky will. I think Trubisky was a great signing. We needed an upgrade over Barkley, but I don’t think Trubisky is any better than Winston or Hill.

Urban just can’t quit Tebow! (Update - Cut by Jags)
SirAndrew replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree. Tebow is almost as big as God in North Florida. The Jags have already won from a marketing prospective for sure. That’s why I’ve said time and time again on this topic, I’ve got nothing against Tebow, but there are plenty of non football reasons the Jags have Tebow on the roster. The jersey sales prove that. -
Urban just can’t quit Tebow! (Update - Cut by Jags)
SirAndrew replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m actually happy for Tebow, I’m not trying to bring anyone down. It’s just clear that Meyer is doing Tebow a favor by giving him a chance. Tebow bust out of the league as a QB, and is now 33 years old. How many guys have returned at a new position after failing as an NFL QB. A 33 year old former QB learning to play TE doesn’t seem very practical. I also have no issue with his attempt at minor league baseball. I just think it’s disingenuous to say he was a AAA level player. The Mets needed publicity, and Urban Meyer thinks he’s an asset. There’s nothing inherently wrong with those things, but I also think it’s fair to point them out.
