  1. I think they’re trying to pick a “safe” way to attempt cultural relevance.
  2. Rock music might not be dead, but it’s culturally irrelevant. Rock will always be an important part of my life, but I can’t avoid the truth. It’s a special niche, eventually becoming no different than opera or classical, as far as having limited appeal. I don’t think any genre ever really died, but they become a special interest. I can no longer use my interest in rock music as a conversation starter with people my age, the way I could a couple decades ago. The appeal of new rock music is very limited. You still have tons of baby boomers and younger people who listen to older acts, but interest in new rock music is a select few imo.
  3. Yeah, being a great college coach is really the perfect storm of being a great recruiter, finding the right college, and having financial backing from that school. Sometimes that financial backing can even be a little shady. You still need coaching talent, but the variables to success are much different than the NFL.
  4. His alleged “diet” is also quite unhealthy from most expert prospectives.
  5. Agree, there’s a lot of reasons you could lose your voice, but he does look like terrible as well.
  6. I thought his diet was supposed to make him immune to all health conditions.
  7. I agree that discussion about any idea is great on a message board. I just don’t understand why UB needs a 60K seat stadium. This is a MAC team that’s lucky to attract 20K fans a game. The idea would seem more feasible if this were a big time college program. Was anyone really asking for a new UB football stadium ?
  8. I can’t believe how much traction this UB topic has gained on TBD. It’s one of the more bizarre ideas I’ve heard accepted around here. NFL teams don’t build stadiums on college campuses to share with mid major football programs. No one cares if UB gets a new stadium tbh.
  9. That would qualify it for a halftime show then. I think Shania Twain was the last. Don’t remember the year though.
  10. I swear some people are under the delusion that UB football is Ohio State or something. Why in the world would UB want to play to an empty stadium ? I don’t even know if there’s a desire for a new UB stadium from the school or the state. The football program isn’t a giant money maker, like a big time program. The deal would basically mean UB getting a stadium they don’t need, while the Bills get to use their campus. It doesn’t seem very logical when UB doesn’t need a huge stadium. UB wouldn’t be getting much out of that deal, while the Bills get free land and income from sold out games.
  11. I really like Joe Burrow. I mentioned last season that he reads defenses superbly for a young QB. I’m just concerned he’s stuck with a moribund franchise, and I wonder if he lacks elite physical attributes. I get a weird feeling that he’s peaked.
  12. I’m not into hip hop much, but do like some Eminem tunes, and at least the league is attempting to make the halftime show relevant. Acts like the Weekend and Maroon 5 can sell tickets, but don’t have the cultural impact you want for a halftime show.
  13. Funny how he has a history of cheating, and all anyone can do is bow down to him for his success at age 44. I think it is inspiring, but I can’t help but question things with his history. There isn’t a single voice in the sports world, or even fans for that matter willing to publicly question if something is amiss. It really does remind me of Lance Armstrong’s late career success that no one questioned. With that said, this is the NFL, much like Manning’s HGH delivery, we’ll never get the truth, or they’ll bury it quickly.
  14. Pats are divisional foes, this game is actually quite easy for me to process. This doesn’t mean Brady is more likeable to me, he’s still a strange dude, but we want a Pats loss.
  15. Tua, Hurts, and Mac Jones will all turn out average or below average. The streak of Alabama QB NFL struggles continues. Today’s elite QB’s have exceptional skills like top end running speed (Jackson), and out of this world arm strength (Allen and Mahomes). These dudes with average arms and average wheels don’t make it. Brady is the exception to the rule, and I think he’s the last star QB we’ll ever see with that type of skill set.
  16. Nagy is clearly a terrible coach, but Bears fans also need to understand they’re stuck with a washed up Andy Dalton, the enigmatic Nick Foles, and another Ohio State QB bust who possesses zero attributes typically found in an elite QB.
  17. Why are the Eagles not even attempting a run game with a crap QB like Hurts ?
  18. Siranni looks like a future failed coach to me for some reason. Looks like someone they’d cast as a B list movie football coach.
  19. I agree, and I’m not denying the fact that Brady is still playing at a high level, but he pulled a LeBron by going to a team with a loaded roster. I’m not sure if that proves can win with any coach.
  20. Exactly, I think Belichick might be the GOAT, but times change. He had his “guys” for so long it becomes hard to replace not just the player, but also the type of people he wants. Everything has an expiration date, and maybe time is running out on BB as a great coach. It’s like a great musician, just because they haven’t had a hit in three decades, doesn’t mean they still can’t be the greatest. Time just runs out.
  21. I thought people said these type of posts are an off-season thing 😆
  22. The Rams really need a better white Jersey color. I can now see how some people thought they look like dirty white t shirts. They’re just gross looking, they look like something that hangs on an old mans clothes line.
  23. That third down called Allen run drives me nuts. He was an elite passer last season, stop it with the Cam Newton garbage.
  24. So native Long Islanders who are Irish, Italian, etc don’t have the Long Island accent ?
