That’s my concern. As I’ve had more time to process this game, I think Brady actually called a good game. We put up over thirty points, and took care of business in week one. My fear is this style of play becoming who we always are. That’s what the second half of last season looked like. The day will come against better opponents where the passing game will need to take over completely. Josh Allen beat the KC Chiefs in one of those games had the infamous 13 seconds not taken place. I worry we’ll will never see that type of game with this offensive strategy.

We should be a team that uses the pass to set up the run. We’re trying to do the opposite, and don’t know when to give it up. I think that’s why Cook’s number dropped, it wasn’t all on him. I’d love to hear from someone who is more knowledgeable, but to me this Brady scheme seems slightly simplistic.

No. The Fish made their name by scoring billions of points at the start of last season. The offense didn’t look so great today. It makes me not worry much at all.

I know you’re somewhat joking, but this is actually a really good thing. I’m hoping he’s much better than Davis, but at least his cellar for a career isn’t as low as some claim. Cook could be dangerous part of the pass game if he catches the ball consistenly.

That’s one of the main issues with trying to be a run first offense in this league. Eventually you just get called for penalties, and it throws everything off schedule. You need big plays to score points in this league, with the run as a complimentary piece.

It also seems as if they don’t trust Cook in the redzone. They use Cook endlessly until it actually matters. Then it’s time for Allen to run guys over.

I think we’re going to win this one, but we need to reevaluate the defense and any offensive strategy that isn’t centered around Allen.

I think this is what happens with Josh when he’s not involved in the offense enough.

We need to score here, and cut Allen loose in the second half. Enough of this run based offense.
