  1. Lamar barely attempts to think pass first anymore.
  2. I’m annoyed for some reason with how desperately the NFL feels the need to promote the cities of Vegas and LA. Nothing against either place, but the NFL seems very proud of themselves for putting teams in those cities.
  3. I’m assuming they’re including both stints as Raiders HC.
  4. Ok, Aaron Rodgers. Joking aside, you’re absolutely correct. It’s also not crazy to be a little disappointed. I’m not ready to consider the Steelers a contender, and we got schooled in a way that looked similar to previous losses. It was a slightly concerning loss because of that imo, but we have all season to fix some of those issues. The ultimate goal is still in sight, but it’s clear some work needs to be done.
  5. It’s been one game, and everyone played poorly. I don’t understand why so many have deemed Sanders worthless either. Everyone likes shiny new things. I think most of this board looks at Sanders age and gives him no respect because of that. Davis is a very good receiver, but he’s still learning the pro game. Sanders knows the pro game, and still has plenty of skill left. You don’t stick around that long as a receiver if you’re garbage.
  6. Davis is very talented, but he’s still learning to be a wideout in the pros. I think it’s possible that Sanders is the better receiver right now. Davis is still working on becoming that guy who’s dependable for an entire game, and doesn’t disappear. Diggs, Beasley, and Sanders are all guys who regardless of struggles, are going to make some plays. Davis is a really good receiver, but he’s just not at their level yet.
  7. A Matthew Stafford QB’ed team allowing a weak opponent to stay in the game, for some reason I’m not shocked.
  8. Finding his wife in an LA crowd could get complicated.
  9. It was out of hand the minute Dalton stepped on the field, but I’m sure Nagy doesn’t see it that way.
  10. Listening to this broadcast, you can’t help but notice how desperately the NFL wants a championship LA team 🤮
  11. I wouldn’t be shocked either, but I wonder if Nagy has the guts to make that change in a close game. I’m thinking it needs to get completely out of hand for a change to be made. If Dalton plays terribly, but they’re only down by one or two scores, I wonder if he’d make the switch. Coaches sometimes hate admitting they were wrong.
  12. Hopefully, I don’t know if Nagy has enough brains to make the change. Who drafts a QB in the first and goes with Andy Dalton as starter in the first place ?
  13. We really need Justin Fields in the game full time to add some intrigue to this matchup.
  14. It is an amazing stadium, but it comes across disingenuous, and seems more like an NFL encouraged sales pitch.
  15. I’d be alright if they were awesome and put on a cool show, instead it looks like suburban dads pounding on garbage cans.
  16. I agree, hated the flea flicker and half passes, but are we truly capable of being physical ? I used to be a Daboll critic, but is he just playing to our strengths ? I don’t know if I have any evidence this team is capable of what you said in the bolded text. It’s difficult to know if that’s a function of coaching not allowing that to happen, or players being incapable of that style play. I tend to believe we aren’t a very physical team.
  17. Yes, this could be such a blessing in disguise. Any extra negativity I might have doesn’t come from a place of this game signaling doom, it just comes from having Steelers fans in my family 😂
  18. It’s a huge one for me because I know too many Steelers fans. I just don’t want to hear from them. We can have a great season, but this one is a disappointment.
  19. I’m not going to blame the entire loss on Haack and special teams, but people are underestimating how huge that play was. Teams don’t win games when blocked punts are returned for TD’s. That needs to be fixed.
  20. You’re not wrong, his numbers were solid. I just didn’t see anything special from Big Ben compared to all the other great QB’s in the game today. The Steelers aren’t an offense that scares anyone, and he threw for under 200 yards today. We win today if we didn’t get dominated by the Steelers defense. Other teams aren’t getting that dominated by the Steelers, I guarantee. I’m excited to see what this Steelers team is all about. It’s a long season, we could take the Lombardi home for all I know. I just think we played very poorly today, and I’m not ready to credit that all to the Steelers.
  21. They will get smacked around in the AFC North. This Bills team is finesse, and does tend to get bullied. That’s been an issue for several years.
  22. I just don’t see it, Big Ben isn’t good enough to QB a championship anymore. Maybe they have a great defense, but people are going to find ways to outscore the Steelers. Teams that can run the ball, and play hard nosed defense will be able to beat the Steelers. They might be a playoff team, but they aren’t top notch imo. We’re supposed to be top notch. We have the rest of the season to show that, and if we want to win the Lombardi, we’ll need to beat teams who are much better than the Steelers.
  23. I haven’t seen it discussed much, but our receivers didn’t do a great job getting open today either. I’d have watch again to confirm, but I saw some issues with that.
  24. I don’t want to say the sky is falling at all, so I say this hesitantly. I don’t want to hear about how great the Steelers are as an excuse. I didn’t realize the Stillers were considered contenders first of all, and secondly, we are Super Bowl contenders, you shouldn’t be getting bullied by Pittsburgh at home on opening day. Today’s game had the same complexion as the two Chiefs losses last season, that is at least slightly concerning.
  25. His AFC championship game was a disaster, and I’ll never understand why so many don’t want to recognize how often he gets dominated.
