  1. I’d be more concerned about the use of a draft pick for Zach Wilson if I’m a Jets fan.
  2. That was the most typical Jets play ever.
  3. Chant kind of makes in the context of what a soccer player does. I don’t want Josh to be everywhere, I want him in the pocket throwing strikes.
  4. True, but you didn’t have to hear everyone’s opinion on it for the next ten years.
  5. Society as a whole is toxic because of the internet. I’m not a Chiefs fan, but I don’t think there’s much to see here.
  6. Never lost a Super Bowl with the standing Buffalo either.
  7. This game is teaching me the AFC is superior.
  8. Embarrassing to be a 7-0 team playing a “home” game in Phoenix to a bunch of Midwestern people.
  9. I think they would seem more legitimate in St.Louis. There’s something about their vibe in AZ that seems like a CFL team. St.Louis is a better sports town than Phoenix.
  10. They can win all they want, but for some reason the Cards never feel like a real NFL team to me.
  11. We’d be going crazy if we called that backward pass play. Seems so high risk vs the reward.
  12. The Packers just keep winning, and Rodgers always has great numbers, but I’m never in awe like I am watching other elite QB’s.
  13. That’s a good point, they’re making money, and that’s all that counts. The NFL has been on auto pilot for years, with its natural increase in popularity bringing huge profits. I think if I were an owner I’d be slightly concerned that chaos could cook the golden goose if it keeps up. I’m not able to fully attribute the increase in profits to Goodell. I think it’s more of a natural increase brought on by various factors, and I think the NFL succeeds in spite of Goodell, not because of him. You’re correct though, Goodell has a job as long as profits are soaring.
  14. I don’t care what “side” you’re on with this, I just wish everyone could admit that Goodell is a disaster. The NFL has had nothing but controversy during his reign. Some of it was on him, other times not so much, but he’s never done anything to bring calm or clarity to a situation.
  15. Yes, I see the Bucs and Packers as the top two teams. That weakens the entire comparison, because both teams have aging QB’s. They aren’t setup for sustained dominance like the 80’s 49ers, or 90’s Cowboys.
  16. Titans and Steelers games seemed pretty tough.
  17. I don’t want to sound like the egoistical person that tells people to get out more, but sometimes comparing things is the only way to prove a point. People who think traffic flows smoothly in OP strike me as those who haven’t attended events elsewhere. That’s fine, I’m not picking on anyone, but the traffic in OP is worse than average for an NFL venue.
  18. This is a game with two irreverent QB’s, so the answer is yes. I’m convinced most QB rules only apply to Brady, Mahomes, and Rodgers. I can’t believe both Norman and Sherman are still in the league. I’d think you could do better with an undrafted free agent than those two well past their prime.
  19. That’s actually a great quote from Ventura. I’ll always remember my grandpa being all about safety from growing up on a farm long long ago. I took many of his lessons to heart, and I’m blown away by the lack of regard for safety that so many have around dangerous stuff these days. There’s a fine line between stupidity and intent when your ignorance harms others. People who lack the ability to utilize proper safety precautions are just as guilty as those with intent imo. Dumb isn’t an excuse for harming others.
  20. I’m not picking on anyone, but it amazes me how Bills fans admit that Rob Johnson was awful, but he always seems to get credit for that Titans game. The guy played an average game, and threw a touchdown without a shoe, considered me unimpressed. It’s possible my memory is failing, but Johnson playing well by his standards is nothing to write home about. He wasn’t to blame for the loss, but we weren’t going anywhere with him behind center. Couldn’t agree more. I don’t care what you think about Flutie either, that’s irrelevant. This idea we’re in the Super Bowl had we won the Music City Miracle game is absurd. What did Johnson ever do that proves he could have won three playoff games?
  21. This is why I’m not a fan of these grading systems. I thought some of the guys with lower grades contributed nicely, while some of those with better grades played well below what I’d like to see.
  22. Right, in the middle of the Gruden controversy as well. It’s a shame there aren’t any reporters who have courage to challenge the league, and ask difficult questions.
  23. I don’t want to get into the political aspect of all this, because I see where people are coming from pointing out the hypocrisy. However, if objectionable lyrics disqualify someone from performing a halftime show, it would need to abolished. People love pointing out rap lyrics because they’re clearly more in your face, but even Taylor Swift has written what some consider to be objectionable lyrics.
  24. I’ve been a downtown stadium advocate, but admittedly don’t know a lot about what land is available in downtown Buffalo these days. If that’s as good as it gets, no thanks. Nothing looks remotely appealing about that location. It looks like a stadium thrown in a residential city neighborhood, not somewhere I want to hang out for fun. I’ve always known tailgating would suffer downtown, but most NFL downtown stadiums have somewhat decent parking situations/lots. This place has two tiny parking garages in the picture. Chicago and Cleveland for example at least have substantial amounts of ground level parking lots at their stadiums. How far is parking? Would it be like the Carrier Dome in Syracuse where you walk three miles?
