  1. Why throw at Brate when you have Evans in the end zone ? Brady misses Gronk in the end zone, so draw up plays for your better WR’s. It doesn’t have to go to the TE.
  2. So if the punt returner let the ball roll inside the five, could he hypothetically just smack the ball out of the end zone for a touchback, and much better field position ?
  3. Glad the NFL makes as much sense as the rest of the world.
  4. There should be, because I see Chad Pennington 😂
  5. Yeah, I’d like clarification of that rule. In that case, Why don’t punt returners just push the ball out of the end zone if they don’t want to field it inside the five ?
  6. Back when the Texans were the NFL’s fair haired child with Watson and Watt.
  7. That’s where I’m at. Stafford had the luxury of playing with an all time great in Megatron. Now he gets to play in the ultra QB friendly system of McVay. A system that people forget made Goff look pretty decent at times. I don’t know what to make of Stafford, but I know I wouldn’t be comfortable with him as my franchise QB.
  8. That’s where I see it differently. Calvin Johnson was the best thing for that franchise, and without Johnson, Stafford would be viewed in a much different light. That’s where sports can be subjective in many ways.
  9. That’s fair. I’ve just seen several mentions of Stafford having no “supporting cast” in Detroit. Detroit is a mess without doubt. Stafford had no defense most of his time there. It was the organization’s fault that he couldn’t win. I also think it can be true that he played more subpar football more often than some want to admit.
  10. He’s good, and he wasn’t going to win games in Detroit, but he also had some good WR’s there. There’s just this popular narrative that he didn’t have anyone to throw to. Some of the failures on offense in Detroit were on him. He has all the physical tools, and is a good QB. Definitely a big upgrade over Goff, but I think McVay’s skills as an offensive coach are being vastly underrated. McVay was very successful with Goff, and an upgrade with Stafford is making the offense even better.
  11. I’m waiting for Stafford to come back down to earth. I don’t wish him failure, but this narrative that he’s a great one who never had anyone to throw to in Detroit is a bit much.
  12. The NFL should really step up to do something about the Watson situation. It’s a black eye for the game, and no franchise should be run like the Texans.
  13. I suppose during football season there really is no after the game, it’s always before the game.
  14. Maybe the Jets coaching staff didn’t spend their days off prowling a college bar though.
  15. Linebacker Quincy Williams with the Jets is an impressive player. Dude delivers big hits in a way you don’t see anymore, and he’s good in coverage as well.
  16. Yeah, and he was almost trying to run over the linebacker. He’s going to learn that he won’t be able to do that in the NFL, without a much bigger frame.
  17. I’m one of those, but I’ve been impressed that he’s made some throws I didn’t think he was capable of. He’s still a Jets QB, so he’s still going to fail, at I least hope.
  18. That’s true, I don’t drink coffee, but I usually get donuts if I’m with someone who stops at those places, and they aren’t good. You’d just think both could do a little better, even with mass produced donuts. I’m guessing they probably don’t care much, because people do like throwing away money on coffee every morning.
  19. I’m not sure what people see in Timmy’s or Dunkin. Horton’s used to actually be good.
  20. Definitely, didn’t see much of a drop without Feliciano though. I don’t think Boetteger is a big drop off. The Feliciano resigning remains a bit of a head scratcher. There had to be more of a locker room decision factoring in to that.
  21. Power outage at old stadium = NFL conspiracy to prove need for new one 😂
