  1. Are you referring to franchise history or the current team?
  2. I hate watching Jimmy G play, but I don’t want to see LA in the Super Bowl. There’s a lot of Stafford love around here, but LA doesn’t deserve a Lombardi trophy. I root for fanbases more than individual players I guess. I’d love to see Cincy win it all for that city, and I can tolerate a SF win. Everything about the title going to LA is gross imo.
  3. I agree, I’m just a little tougher on Rosseau since he was picked ahead of Basham. I also thought Basham didn’t get as much opportunity. I agree with you on Basham, but I don’t trust Rosseau as a big part of our future either. He showed flashes, but disappeared more often than not. I don't recall him showing much against KC. He seemed to have a few quality games, followed by complete disappearing acts. Decent rookie year I suppose, but not a guy I trust. Anyone who plays entire games without a QB pressure, isn’t someone who excites me as an early draft choice, even as a rookie.
  4. The Rosseau pick still bugs me. I’m all for potential, but I’d prefer a guy who didn’t sit out his final college season. We needed someone who can rush the passer now, not a project.
  5. I’m happy for the Bengals, and glad to see KC out. It’s cool to see a real town like Cincy get their chance against SF or LA. Yet somehow, this game made me feel worse. I can’t believe Cincy is already there with their thirty something coach.
  6. Burrow is unbelievable. He won a title for Ed Orgeron, and gets the Bengals to the Super Bowl.
  7. It feels like every major NFL game magically becomes close at the end, even if it’s a blowout in the first half. I’m old enough to remember championship and Super Bowl blowouts.
  8. This game just makes me frustrated with our d line. We need to make a free agency splash on the d line. Our d line draft choices have been rank.
  9. I don’t think so, they didn’t look good last week either. We just couldn’t bring Mahomes down. The o line wasn’t very good itself.
  10. Hubbard is a good player.
  11. Taylor is a lucky man having found Burrow and Chase.
  12. Yeah, matchups matter. Cincy beating KC doesn’t mean we can’t beat Cincy. I think our defense matches up better against Cincy.
  13. And Frazier, that was his reputation in Minnesota. His defensive style isn’t built to win a championship.
  14. Nice to see it’s possible to create stops and turnovers against KC. I hope our number one D ranking doesn’t stop us from making much needed changes to our D that turtles against good offensive teams.
  15. Never said I could do it, just saying it’s time for coaching to advance a little. That’s why guys like Andy Reid dominate. The top coaches are too far above the next tier. There’s plenty of coaches I like, but guys who lack innovation somehow keep getting hired, that’s what I don’t get.
  16. NFL coaching is rotten. The league needs to find a better way to bring coaching talent on board.
  17. Some people are simply negative, others are trolls, but most are just venting. I think the majority fall into the venting category. The Buffalo Bills mean a lot to people. People are known to overreact when something important lets them down. Especially when it rehashes old baggage. This is the franchise of four Super Bowl losses, Music City Miracle, and Wide Right. We’re in a relationship that has wounds, and Buffalo Bills meltdowns hit a sour note with folks. The future is bright, but those old wounds come to the surface when we suffer extraordinary losses. I’d just take a break from the board if needed.
  18. It’s not just Brady himself who bent the rules either. His entire Pats career was filled with shadowy figures.
  19. Possible, but I don’t understand this dude’s tweet. I’m probably just being stupid, but why would Brady need the $15M to “process” before making a retirement decision? He gets the money regardless, I don’t understand what this dude is getting at.
  20. I don’t see how a squib kick wins the game if our defensive game plan involved not covering literally anyone. We called the perfect D to keep them out of the end zone, but not field goal range. Let’s not forget that KC had timeouts. Here’s a possible squib kick scenario. They start at the 35 with 7 seconds, quick short pass followed by timeout, and throw another pass right into field goal range. Butker has a big leg as well. The squib kick probably should have been called, but that’s not the reason we lost. You can’t call a defense that solely protects the end zone when a field goal results in a demoralizing tie.
  21. Daboll always drove me crazy on game day, but I think he’s a really good coach. There were those moments, but I can’t argue with the results. NY is an interesting landing spot though. I think the Giants HC job screams for someone with personality. Dealing with the NY media is a job itself. That franchise doesn’t have much going for it, and NY can be tough. It’s interesting they picked from the Belichick tree twice in a row, going from Judge to Daboll. I’d want a bigger personality after Judge got fired. I’m not convinced it’s a great situation, but you obviously take the job if you’re Daboll. I wish him nothing but the best.
  22. Yeah, maybe it’s an exaggeration, but the extra game seems to change the complexion of the regular season. I got an NHL, NBA vibe from the better teams. It looked like teams are occasionally laid back during the regular season. The postseason has always been a level of intensity above the regular season, but teams seem more focused on the postseason than ever before. The regular season is becoming a formality. Teams with elite QB’s are always getting to the playoffs, and they know this, causing some games to lack intensity. Our regular season had this issue as well. The Steelers, Jags, and Colts were essentially bye weeks. I never like questioning effort, but did pick up an NBA vibe a few times this year. Players have the need to preserve themselves to an extent. What better time to dial it back then versus inferior opponents? I think we’ll see more of that going forward. More games hurt the product.
  23. I can’t believe Elway has kept his job in Denver. This guy makes a lot of bad moves.
  24. That’s a fair opinion, but I’m going to make a bold prediction. The Chiefs won’t be in the SB every year for the next decade. Another team will represent the AFC during that time. It’s up to McD to take advantage of that. Mahomes will be difficult to overcome, but that doesn’t discount this being McD’s best chance to win. We’re certainly not better off when Mahomes retires, as Allen’s prime might slip away. We might become Manning’s Colts to Brady’s Pats, but anything less than a title with Allen would be disappointing.
  25. I agree, but circumstances are slightly different. Allen is the most dynamic player in the league. McDermott has his best chance at winning a SB in Allen’s prime. That window is open right now. Reid and Belichick took over a decade to get their elite QB, McD has his right now. This isn’t an irrational fire McD post. I just believe he needs a SB win in the next decade if it’s ever going to happen.
