  1. Sure, but it’s also wise to treat your employees well. It doesn’t matter what any of us think about Lamar. Trading away your QBs favorite receiver isn’t what a team that likes their QB does.
  2. Maybe, personally I think they need to clean house. They have questionable ownership and employ a former “character coach” as Vice President. Their current structure reminds me of the drought era Bills.
  3. I feel bad for the first three selections this season. They’ll get an amazing paycheck, but what terrible franchises.
  4. Agree, that is interesting about NY state, but it’s mostly due to a lack of in state football talent. That’s why you see a couple New England states as well, the football talent just isn’t there.
  5. Madden for me. I have nothing but positive things to say about him as an announcer. He had the voice, knowledge, and a genuine love of the game. Al Michaels was excellent as well, but it seems like he’s stuck around too long, and my opinion of him probably isn’t as great as it once was.
  6. The only thing I got from this post was a moment of being really stressed I missed Mother’s Day.
  7. I’ve been critical of Knox in the past, but he really sounds like a guy who “gets it”. He isn’t going to fail due to lack of effort.
  8. Fair point, I just don’t understand giving up anything for a guy like Wentz. Franchise QB’s are rare, but you know you aren’t going anywhere with Wentz. The past few years seem to prove Wentz isn’t starter worthy He looks like a player who has the yips, or a toasted arm. Your point is valid, but I never liked how the Bills managed our QB drought either. I’d prefer a rookie or backup who hasn’t seen much NFL action over a washed up former starter. I’m not a fan of trying to start below average retreads at QB. It really offers no hope to your fanbase.
  9. Good point about Wentz being 29, but I don’t understand what more Wentz can do to prove he isn’t a franchise QB. Wentz as a franchise QB is over, he should be a backup.
  10. Sounds good, I’ve always wanted to see Andy Reid take a snap at running back.
  11. Yep, name recognition is all he has at this point. He was good earlier in his career, but even at his peak he never became what people thought he would be.
  12. I can’t see Reich going for Mayfield. I don’t see it as a fit personality wise.
  13. I think his numbers will continue to be phenomenal. Waller puts up huge numbers with Carr, so I don’t see any reason Adams can’t. Adams is an elite receiver. I used to be someone who underestimated the value of receivers until I watched our group with Allen early in his career. Adams clearly benefited from playing with Rodgers, but he’s great in his own right, much like Diggs. The $28M is where I have an issue. That’s probably not outrageous by today’s standards, but it’s a questionable move for the Raiders. Is anyone really convinced that Carr can take the Raiders to the Super Bowl? You don’t spend that money on a wideout if he isn’t. It’s a very typical Raiders move.
  14. I don’t know if Watson will fail, but people continue to underestimate the importance of a QB’s supporting cast. I was skeptical of Stafford, but we saw what LA did for him. The Texans eventually fell apart, but people forget the quality around Watson at one point. Watson had Hopkins and JJ Watt dominating both sides of the ball. What does he have in Cleveland?
  15. I’m just going to say what no one else has yet. There’s people around here more well versed than I on the legal system, but I’ll share what I’ve seen with my own eyes. If Watson was an average dude, he’s probably in jail. People forget the benefits to wealth. I’ve seen people take some pretty harsh falls for one “he said/she said” incident, but the burden of evidence needed always seems greater when you can afford a stellar legal team.
  16. The media loves to overhype every skinny jean wearing millennial head coach.
  17. Deshaun is the last guy Cleveland needed at this point. Cleveland needed to be in rebuild mode after Mayfield proved to be a bust. It’s not wise to go from one QB with questionable character to another with dubious character. Championship teams have real leadership, and the Browns keep polluting the locker room.
  18. Agree, I think this stint in Cleveland is going to prove how overrated he is. Sitting a year isn’t ideal either. Cleveland isn’t typically the best place to revive a career.
  19. I always loved Leroi’s information, but I never understood what someone gets out of leaking information on a forum. Nothing against the guy, but I never understood the motive. It really speaks to how the culture has changed.
  20. Nice to be the mystery team, after all those years of Whaley and his people leaking everything.
  21. Watching Kentucky vs St.Peter’s. Good to see Gene Steratore can get all the calls wrong in a sport other than football 😆 Can’t believe dude gets paid for his “expertise”
  22. At least he didn’t quit at halftime or retire before the season like our other bargain FA’s. He’s a decent player, but this loss doesn’t worry me.
  23. I hear you, maybe I shouldn’t question his dedication in Buffalo, but the Vegas incident made me question his off field life early in his career. I shouldn’t jump to such conclusions, but something seemed off. It wouldn’t be unusual for a young guy to turn things around. He’ll never be a great player, but he seems more together these days. It shows watching him play. He looks like his head is actually in the game. Jones looked like a deer in the headlights half the time here.
  24. Zay looked like an average receiver with the Raiders. That’s a huge accomplishment considering his time in Buffalo. I wish him nothing but the best, but it’s frustrating he didn’t seem to take being a pro seriously in Buffalo. There’d definitely be a place for him with Josh. I wouldn’t ever sign the guy, but it’s a shame he couldn’t get it together here.
  25. I like giving everything a chance to work out. If I’m being honest, I’d rather sign a big impact guy over spending money on guys like Saffold and McKissic. We’re impact guys away from winning the Super Bowl, not role players. Beane is all about team building, and it’s a necessity to build depth through free agency, but I’d go with a cheaper rookie with a similar skill set over someone like McKissic imo.
