1/18 Texans @ Chiefs divisional playoff thread

This game could completely change if Stroud could just make a few big plays. He needs to take some chances. -

This is worse than the Pats ever were imo, because most people weren’t Pats fans. The media pushes KC as this likable cast of characters who are supposed to be interesting to us. -

Jason Kelce is annoying. KC basically becoming a tabloid team has made the dynasty worse than it already was. -

I don’t understand why underdogs compete against dynasties like KC as if they have something to lose in the playoffs. The NFL is ridiculous, and it’s why people love Dan Campbell so much. -
Miami Dolphins selected as the "home" team for the game in Spain

This is close as an any team will ever get to being in their home city while being in Europe. -
Yeah, I find this an interesting topic out of curiosity, but this is what makes Bills fandom unique. We don’t have any true big name fans, but the Bills fanbase itself is what people think of with us.

You’re right, I think taking the lead could cause some anxiety in Baltimore coaches. I’d love to see them put the ball in Lamar’s hands trying to play catch up. The ultimate goal would be to score on the first drive, stop Henry on the next Ravens drive, then take a 14-0 lead. I think they’d go to the air with Jackson at that point, and it wouldn’t be pretty for Baltimore.

Coach Prime really turned around the Colorado program, so it’s tough for me to say he can’t coach. I don’t know if he’d be successful in the NFL, but I wouldn’t assume he fails. I think the assumption he’d fail is based on dislike of him. I think he’s a phony, but that doesn’t mean he can’t coach football. A lot of football coaches aren’t great guys.

I’d be hesitant, but in comparison to Darnold, I’d take that chance. Darnold is never taking a team far, and you never know what you’ve got with a rookie. I like the risk of the unknown over a known average quarterback. Shadeur can run, Darnold has been taking sacks all night long.
-
Darnold lacks the mental composure to be a good NFL QB. He completely fell apart last week, and let it carry over into the playoffs. He’s the stereotype of the soft USC QB, SoCal surfer meathead.
-
I don’t know, I’d take my chances with Shadeur Sanders or Cam Ward over Darnold. At least they can move in the pocket, which is a vital skill in today’s NFL that Darnold lacks.
-
Stafford has been given the veteran Brady like treatment since he put a LA uniform on.
-
I’d blitz Darnold every play. He can’t manage pressure at all.
-
Darnold looked so bad last week that it seemed like more than one off week that all QB’s have. I really think Jets Darnold is back.

Honestly, most of our drought era draft picks were dumb, and I’m surprised there isn’t a greater agreement on that truth. We all know the NFL draft is a crapshoot, but we made some really strange choices. There were too many reaches, and guys that were luxury picks.

This is true, but I think Evans would have put up pretty good numbers with Taylor. He wasn’t a complete QB, but knew how to find his playmakers at times. Sammy’s numbers were good in 2014 with no real QB. His career long injury problems derailed the other seasons more than Tyrod Taylor.
-
Chiefs vs Ravens/Bills is too good ratings wise to mess up in favor of the Houston Texans.
-
I agree with about the Commanders, but I’ve already given up on the Vikings after watching Darnold play last week. I think he turned into a pumpkin, and seems to have the yips right now.
-
Seems like this game might be decided on a mistake.

Kick the field goal.
-
This game has gotten really sloppy.

Mayfield has always gone from looking good to being a disaster at the snap of a finger.
-
That was terrible by Daniels.

I think that’s it, but honestly I find most of the millennial generation coaches to be somewhat annoying. Some of these younger guys are good coaches, but the leadership/sideline demeanor isn’t what I’m used to used in football. LaFleur exhibits a pouty face anytime he’s losing.
