I can’t believe Elway has kept his job in Denver. This guy makes a lot of bad moves.

That’s a fair opinion, but I’m going to make a bold prediction. The Chiefs won’t be in the SB every year for the next decade. Another team will represent the AFC during that time. It’s up to McD to take advantage of that. Mahomes will be difficult to overcome, but that doesn’t discount this being McD’s best chance to win. We’re certainly not better off when Mahomes retires, as Allen’s prime might slip away. We might become Manning’s Colts to Brady’s Pats, but anything less than a title with Allen would be disappointing.

I agree, but circumstances are slightly different. Allen is the most dynamic player in the league. McDermott has his best chance at winning a SB in Allen’s prime. That window is open right now. Reid and Belichick took over a decade to get their elite QB, McD has his right now. This isn’t an irrational fire McD post. I just believe he needs a SB win in the next decade if it’s ever going to happen.

I don’t really care what happens to a specific player when we score 42 points. I’m not wanting to sound abrasive, just saying everything worked well, and Knox just wasn’t part of it on the day. I worry about particular players only when the team struggles as a result. Ask me about Rosseau and Basham, then I’ll talk.

Here’s my hot take. Rosseau and Basham were drafted specifically for this game, but they didn’t show up. We need help at the corner position, but I’m not sold on it being a first round need. The officials don’t allow corners to play football anyway. They certainly aren’t letting us get away with anything versus KC. You need a pass rush to beat an elite QB in today’s NFL. We got to Mahomes, but not with the type of pressure that truly disrupts a QB. The Rams might have sent Brady straight to retirement with a great pass rush. Our biggest issue is the draft capital we spent on the line. I’m not sure how much more can be done to fix it.

I’ve gotten to the age where I don’t live and die with losses. This one stings, and I’m still shell shocked. Never seen anything like it.

I didn’t see any help from safeties to contain big plays tonight. They took terrible angles and struggled in coverage.

Legitimately the worst defensive I’ve ever seen. It looked a Big 12 game.

Squib kick wouldn’t have saved us. It takes more time off the clock, but the Chiefs get better field position. They would have gotten into field goal range with one pass anyway.

Poyer and Hyde epically failed tonight. Safeties didn’t contain anything.

The D is soft.

I cried about Daboll earlier, but Im over it. The D has cost this season.

Allen and Davis fought so hard, does the D yell at Sullivan tonight, or do they take accountability?

Kelce dominates everyone, but it’s like we never cover him at all when we play KC.

Welcome to Leslie Frazier D. It’s been his entire career. Great coordinator, but he lets those things happen.

Allen did everything, we still have a chance, but for the fist time in my life, I’m sympathetic to Jerry Sullivan. This D needs to show something.

I’m over this defensive. It’s a shame we scored with 13 seconds.

I’d love to see Hughes make a play after all his time here, he deserves it.

I was about to ask why we can’t make two pointers, then Diggs steps up. Great play.

Unbelievable, Allen did all that in spite of coaching. Now they still need a stop anyway. Davis has been clutch tonight.

Trying to run out the clock is a lofty ambition with 8 or 9 minutes left in the game. We completely eliminated passes downfield. It’s too easy to defend.

We may lose this game worried about clock instead of scoring playing our game. I’m over our offensive coaching.

I hate that we’ve reduced the playbook worried about clock. Pray it works out.

I’d rather McKenzie than Bease at this point.
