  1. That’s where I am. I’m not going to be too negative about it, but what we’ve seen isn’t anything special to me. I’ll be impressed with a wide concourse, better concessions, and bathrooms. That’s what will make the new stadium appeal to me at this point.
  2. Don’t count on anyone negotiating a better deal. I think this is the direction the NFL is headed. Owners simply aren’t going to pay, because they can always find someone in another city/state who’s willing to do so.
  3. Yeah, I’m fine with our new stadium, and don’t want to be “negative”. I just wish it looked less like a European soccer stadium. Hoping they add at least one unique feature. It seems like a copy and paste design.
  4. It also looks like the original PlayStation game console from overhead view.
  5. I don’t know if it will create huge shadows, because the awnings look quite small in the rendering. I’m not knowledgeable about engineering, so maybe someone can enlighten me, but I don’t understand the point of the awnings. They look like they won’t cover many fans. Is the awning supposed to reduce winds? I’d think the stadium itself could be constructed to limit winds.
  6. Agree, the value of experience went out the window when teams saw McVay. The league went on a hiring spree of millennial coaches who looked similar to McVay. I’m all about giving the next generation of coaches a fair shot, I’d hope I’m afforded those type of opportunities, but these guys had more style than substance.
  7. I’m not a big fan of college coach hires in general, but poaching coaches from Syracuse really is low. I’ll never get over the idea of a Syracuse coach turning around an NFL franchise, unbelievable.
  8. Aikman and Buck have been brutal, but it beats listening to a Pats fan rant.
  9. I’d enjoy Manningcast even better if they went full screen with the game more often. We know what Peyton and Eli look like.
  10. At no point did I ever hope to hear Buck and Aikman ramble on about the name Bailey.
  11. Unreal how many “legitimate” NFL experts were talking up Mac Jones as a franchise QB or better last season. Now Zappe is the starter.
  12. We’ll see how long Pats fans stay Zappe.
  13. QB’s would never do that kind of thing back in the day. There’s no consequence from the opposition anymore.
  14. If Bill wants Jones to be his QB, he should give him a chance to throw on this drive.
  15. Just be thankful for Allen, that’s the real reason we aren’t playing for field goals.
  16. Yep, the Bears only chance is to run the ball well, settle for field goals, and hope Mac Jones is awful.
  17. Why are the Pats starting Jones if they aren’t sure how long he can play? Belichick is wearing blinders if he can’t see that both Zappe and Jones are subpar starters. You’d go with the subpar QB who has the hot hand, and right not that’s Zappe. Poor Bill might really think he has a franchise QB in Mac.
  18. Is there a betting line on how long it takes fans to boo Mac Jones?
  19. Tight score now, but watching these teams turned into watching paint dry. I feel the same.
  20. I’m a Tua critic, but he doesn’t attempt throws he isn’t capable of on a regular basis. Fitz would think he’s Brett Favre with a ten point lead in the fourth, only to throw the game away. Tua has game manager ability he can use to help his team win.
  21. Pickett needs to use his legs more. His best asset at this point.
  22. It’s amazing that the people who typically discover this last is the team themselves.
  23. Exactly, I just posted the same thing while you shared your thoughts. Nothing about Tua is great, you see it in some of these poor throws, but he knows how to execute this offense.
  24. I think McDaniel and Tua are a great fit as a QB/Coach combo. The coach knows exactly how to play to his QB’s strengths. Tua is in the perfect offense for his abilities. The hospital ball to Mostert and the last throw to Hill demonstrate he doesn’t have elite arm talent imo, but the scheme is great for him.
  25. It was a huge statement, but the AFC is that much better than the NFC. I think a lot of AFC teams could clobber the “best” NFC teams.
