  1. Nah. He’s just got a case of the Petermans.
  2. If Allen threw that Barron would have ended up in concussion protocol.
  3. Please Lord, let this game end in a tie so we can all go to sleep laughing.
  4. Not sure, but I’m pretty sure being born again is part of the process.
  5. Is anyone considering the possibility that he wants out of the Jests?????
  6. A false start penalty forced Old Country to kick a field goal.
  7. For sure. What was the over under on this game though? ?
  8. Getting hard to tell if the refs are just trying to teach Cleveland a lesson.... or the players are just that undisciplined.
  9. Did Greggo call up his old squad for a pep talk this week?
  10. This actually makes me feel a lot better about the Bills O line. Watching Villanueva get rag dolled like a spineless meat puppet by Garrett makes Dawkins performance look pretty good.
  11. You know.... I’m not sure if they’ve run any “slant & go” routes. With his arm strength that could be extremely effective just like it was with Favre.
  12. Always... Unless they can put enough pressure on the secondary to make a spy a liability. Not many QBs reach that point (Rodgers, Wilson, and Mahomes?) Having motion as a threat can counteract some of the spy’s effectiveness though. Nothing is completely reliable, but teams have been utilizing the jet sweep to open up screens on the opposite side.
  13. There were a few games where they ran it multiple times. I didn’t keep track. I think my bigger issue is that Daboll seems to be getting predictable with his deceptions. They need to start incorporating other players into the jet sweep like they did with Knox once. Make the D worry about the jet sweep anytime a player goes in motion by giving one to Beasley, Brown, Knox, etc. Heck, lineup Yeldin in the slot and run it. All of this could benefit the screen game as well while freezing defenders for actual routes.
  14. Pretty sure they’ve run at least one every game he’s been active. Definitely not something I’ve paid close attention to though. I just wonder if the completion percentage is inflated due to those plays and small sample size. Generally speaking the “mean” should be near the percentage of catchable passes Allen throws. ?‍♂️
  15. Don’t those jet sweeps count as catches and passes for Allen and McKenzie?
  16. And Allen has miss fired to those two as well... He ain’t hitting anyone deep regardless of their tracking ability.
  17. I assume they’re trying anything to get Allen’s deep ball going. Plus, Fosters had a few good plays on coverage teams.
  18. Gonna be interesting to see who ends up with the first few picks. I could see the Skins or Falcons going with Young or trading down for a king’s ransom... Jets too. Bengals will be all in on a QB. The bottom might be tightly packed this year with so many bad teams.
  19. IIRC it goes back further than that. My BBMB recall is a bit hazy at this point though.
  20. Which is entirely reasonable. I’m not as down on the future as many in here happen to be. I honestly expected Allen to basically suck for three years anyways since he was so raw coming out. If the kid fixes one major flaw every off-season for his first 3-4 years he’s going to be a top 10-15 QB... We’ll see if he gets there. As for reading defenses... He’s still seeing new looks because the Mountain West ... well... it kind of sucks. I share the opinions of Daboll. I think he’s been throwing a bit to much at Allen with this offensive system. The offense is built to morph week to week and change... Allen doesn’t have the experience to pull that off without serious talent. As a result we have an offense that lacks identity instead of Patsie Lite. Allen simply cannot make the pre-snap reads and adjustments to control games right now. Which brings me to McD.... He needs to identify the problems and reign them in, especially Daboll getting cute with gameplan and playcalling. As HC that is his primary responsibility and he’s dropping the ball there. He also needs to figure out why this team has a 2-4 game slump in the middle of EVERY SEASON. All that said... I thought this was an 8-8 or 9-7 team that could hit 10 wins with lucky breaks before the season. They’re on track for that. They fix the run D down the stretch (again?) and someone like Knox starts seriously balling the rest of the season could be exciting.
  21. It’s about money. LA and Chicago might garner the same ratings. As a fan, I’d rather not change my expected routine.
  22. I think people neglect the amount of talent Cleveland has in the secondary. Particularly when that talent is combined with Garrett’s pass rushing.... Those guys can make plays and excel in man coverage.
  23. ?. Nice. The biannual Kaep thread re-emerges and once again there is a Mass Debate with everyone firing the same loads.
