  1. I was commenting on how the being held overhead by a lineman with his arms out is very “dirty dancing” like...
  2. A big brawl that ends the game early while the scores tied... Multiple suspensions to close out the year and neither team nabs a W.
  3. Yes. It would put them in competition with Friday night high schools games, and that could be a ratings killer in a lot of markets. Might be fine up north, but down south and in Texas HS football is a big deal. Everyone in those small towns goes to the games, especially in rural areas. Some of those stadiums hold 20,000 fans.
  4. Agree, but I’d be fine with Foster being the #4 or #5 WR if his teams play continues to improve.
  5. Not sure if posted, but it’s an interesting tidbit on the Bills run blocking scheme. https://www.google.com/amp/s/cowboyswire.usatoday.com/2019/11/27/dallas-cowboys-buffalo-bills-run-concepts-week-13/amp/
  6. Part of the problem with man coverage is that beating it requires talent. Outside of Brown and Beasley this pass catching group is lacking talent.... Now, if a light goes on for Knox or Foster returns to last last season form we’ll be in good shape. I’m not putting money on that though.
  7. The evidence is what’s happened in Green Bay where LaFleur is using a variation of the same scheme. Their offense has been snuffed out a few times this year, and that can’t be blamed on incompetent QB play. Against SF it certainly seemed like the 9ers D knew exactly what the play calls were. They shut down A Jones and then went after Rodgers relentlessly.
  8. Nah. Just had to think of a joke which didn’t involve Jackson molesting our defense.
  9. Here’s hoping he doesn’t run the edge so much we’re asking “Manny are you okay?”
  10. 19. The Rams offense failed horribly. I’m not saying ours will do better... just that if you can’t score and slow them down on D you’re screwed.
  11. I think so. I could be wrong, but we’ll definitely find out. It’s gonna be interesting to see what SF does since we can copy their scheme if it’s effective.
  12. Yes. However, Jackson was forced to throw the ball 40 times.
  13. They scored enough that Ingram and the option were basically taken out of the game. IIRC the chiefs had a 17 point lead by halftime
  14. Jackson can probably beat Edmunds to the edge more often than not. You almost have to use Poyer and a big nickel while scoring a lot early to keep Ingram under 200 yards.
  15. Only thing that works is spying Jackson with a safety and hitting him so much they change the offensive play calls.
  16. Not on offense, but Foster’s play on teams is what’s likely keeping Duke on the bench.
  17. That’s something I’m waiting on. Particularly with the Ravens playing LA and SF before us. I’m hoping Wade comes up with an effective scheme which SF used to lay some shots on Jackson. Regardless, those game should be fun to watch.
  18. I wish I could say I predicted success. It was more of a critic of Daboll being predictable though.... As in “Oh, look. Gore’s in the game and McK is in motion. Guess it’s a run.”
  19. Realistically.... probably looking at a $75MM 5 year deal. It’ll be in that ballpark. Maybe 5 for $70MM if it gets done early with a solid guaranteed percentage. Tre doesn’t seem like a guy that’ll get lazy after getting paid. He comes across as a dude that’s playing for prestige ... As such, the cash needs to be in-line, but he really wants recognition of his talent.... a solid contract offer says that to him.
  20. He’s been limited by more than a few teams this season. It can certainly be accomplished. I’m kind of curious as to how that Dallas defense is going to approach our offense.... They've gotten gashed by backs like Singletary all year.
  21. Honestly, I think that we benefited today from having Morse miss the preseason. Even though this was a “new” line configuration in season, this exact unit had over a month of playing and practicing together. They had unity which matters when they aren’t the most talented o line. Love the depth. I hope he can keep replenishing it.
