  1. Singletary is unique. He’s a one stepper without a top gear. Just untraditional talent that can ball. I think he can be supplemented with a speed back or a power back. It’s really going to come down to what the bills think they want/need from the position.
  2. I certainly do. In order... Reagor, Shenault, Aiyuk, Higgins. I only have Shenault ahead of Aiyuk due to potential, but it’s extremely close. I think Higgins is slightly limited. I also have Lynn Bowden ahead of half of the OPs 2nd tier list. He was forgotten about after switching to QB (30/348 in 4.5 games), but the previous season he put up 67/745 in the SEC. Granted he ran for 1,200 yards in 7 games after the switch.... Bowden, Aiyuk, and Reagor are, to me, the guys most likely to be electric.
  3. I don’t think we need a pure power back. However, a bigger back that runs decisively and can catch would be ideal.
  4. Went with Allen over Edmunds because the ceiling for QBs is higher than every other positions. Chose Ford for the 2019 rookies. I think a year in a NFL strength program coupled with a fixed position and focused reps will make a big difference regardless of him staying at RT or moving to guard. With better upper body strength and technique he can take a big step, especially against speed rushers and inside counters.
  5. The never been to the playoffs caveat makes this more difficult as it eliminates Pat Williams, Moulds, Rueben Brown, etc. I’d have to go with Jason Peters. That one addition turns the Oline into a top 10 unit.
  6. It’s interesting to me because one quoted part in the article: Most of his production came from slot or as outside receiver in space. Must prove he can win as route runner against quality cornerbacks. Play strength is below par. Gets muscled around by physical defenders. Very aware of oncoming traffic and will stop routes to avoid big hits Is the same knock that Jalen Reagor has... Then you go back and look at his tape with a solid QB and he looks very different. Particularly against Ohio State. Sometimes these guys get knocked and drop. sometimes they don’t.
  7. He will throw tantrums when he’s not getting the ball and his team is losing. There’s no way around that. As for being selfish... from what I’ve been told by Vikings fans I know, Diggs also tends to spend his off days doing charity work everything from coat drives to visiting children’s hospitals and handing out turkeys on thanksgiving. I guess Diggs and Kyle Rudolph are the “charity guys” in that locker room. I certainly cannot comment on his work ethic or locker room fit. His antics definitely lean more towards TO than AB. It’ll be Beane, McD, and Daboll doing homework and making a decision.
  8. I’d do a 1st for Diggs if he’s willing to play under his current contract. Extension, restructuring, etc. a 2nd.
  9. I see Willekes as a replacement for Alexander/Murphy. High floor low ceiling though. I’d be happy if they nabbed him in the 3rd. For the OPs exercise I’ll throw a few options for different positions.... DE: Epenesa (1st), Anae(2nd) CB: CJ Henderson (1st), Bryce Hall (2-3) RB: Zack Moss (3rd), Vaughn (4th), Perine (4-5) WR: Ruggs (1st), Reagor (1-2), Lynn Bowden (2-?), V Jefferson (3-4) LB: not seeing it till late TE: Kmet (2nd) OL: no clue this year. If Beane sees value it’ll be from left field or what most consider a drop.
  10. Agree. J Brown commented on it though, so it can’t be ruled out. The Pats have used guys with QB experience for years.... There’s enough smoke to look for fire. That said, it just means that it might take longer for some of the raw guys to show well in this offense. As much as it’s a potential issue there are a lot of guys in the draft who fit the Bill: Jeudy, Ruggs, Reagor, V Jefferson, etc. I expect them to take two unless they grab an AJ Green.
  11. I can’t rule out the possibility that they didn’t see Metcalf as a fit for Daboll’s offense due to complexity, or they were afraid of the neck injury. It’s also possible that McB decided a WR was useless unless Allen had time to throw. As to the former, I’m starting to look into WRs that may have an edge conceptually with regards to Daboll’s scheme. That’ll include Alabama WRs that have played under him and WRs with QB experience (Lynn Bowden) or advanced insight into NFL life (V Jefferson, Reagor, etc)
  12. I would love to see Bills fans after our punter gets a 15 yard taunting penalty in a close game. ?. Particularly if we lose. If folks thought penile lawn art was over the line just wait
  13. One guy who I can’t get out of my head as a match for Daboll’s system is Lynn Bowden Jr (KY). 6’1 200 lb. HS QB who converted to WR, lit it up, then went back to QB this season after injuries to the starter and backup... He proceeded to light up the SEC on the ground like L Jackson (8+ YPC) after racking up 30 receptions in the first half of the season. I have no clue where he’s going to end up getting drafted due to the positional switch, but the kid just balls out.... Plus he screams process. Switched positions for the team, cut his dreads off because he was nominated to represent KY at SEC media day, etc. Uniformed claim issue list (to and from providers).pdf
  14. I like Mims. I’m not sure he’s a 2nd rounder though. I think he’ll go in the 3rd barring a dominant combine. Kind of reminds me of Davante Adams with concentration lapses and poor routes.
  15. Isn’t reliable or consistent seeing cut backs, lacks top end speed, no proof of catching ability, narrow stance at contact, will bounce runs outside when there’s an available lane inside, doesn’t have the speed to bounce runs consistently in the NFL, lacks burst, poor jump cuts, can be impatient..... There are a fair amount of knocks. Kid is a hammer with some wiggle though. Plus he’ll be a nightmare if you can get him into the secondary. I think he has more value to teams with solid run blocking lines than teams that are pass oriented.
  16. My big question is this... Can he catch? I watched BC twice this year and can’t recall Dillon catching a pass. Gore being used solely for runs between the tackles was likely a big tell for defenses. This team has to move on from that. It’s one reason why I see Perine and Moss as more likely to be targeted.
  17. I think the NFL is in a transition phase at QB. Even with Brady, Brees, etc nearing the end there is more talent at the position than there has been for a while. I’m not saying that there’s necessarily more talent at the top, but talent is coming in and coaches are figuring out how to use it. It looks like there’s going to be a bunch of middling QBs - system guys, bridge QBs, etc - that might create a middle class of FAs over the next five years.... Tannehill, Bridgewater, Foles, Winston, etc. This could potentially lead to a more diverse and competitive league.
  18. Yeah. Every team that had a rookie QB show promise got a big boost: NYG, Jax, ARZ, Den....
  19. Might be a low cost value option. No clue if there’s any validity to him being a cut candidate, but if he is a 6th or 7th rounder would definitely nab him. https://clutchpoints.com/packers-news-green-bay-could-consider-cutting-cb-josh-jackson-this-offseason/
  20. It makes sense for him to extend now if the money and years are right. Tre is 25 now and the Bills could technically drag this out so that he wouldn’t get his first big guaranteed contract until he’s 28. That would limit his career earnings as he’d only get one big chunk of cash. By keeping the term to 5 years he could get cash in hand now, injury insurance, and be a FA again at 30 or another extension earlier. That could lead to two large contracts with guaranteed money if he stays healthy and productive. Make no mistake though, if this gets done we’re looking at a market setting contract in one way or another.
  21. Currently thinking about an episode of ray donovan where “tiny” get arrested for shoplifting a rotisserie chicken and bologna.
  22. Maybe. He was good up until this season. I was just being a bit hyperbolic about the Rams having very few tradable assets.
  23. Yes. He’s one of the Florida guys I’m high on along with V Jefferson and Perine.... Greenard is one of the few college edge players with a reliable spin move. Needs to do a better job of engaging OTs when he gets to the NFL to set up his counters as he can take himself out of plays. Certainly pops on tape. The big knocks are injuries and that he’s a redshirt senior.
