  1. I’m not sure that it matters. The cap goes up every year. Over the course of a five year contract “great” LTs end up getting paid as “good” LTs. It’s a supply problem, and if you have an above average to good LT you pay him the going rate. The alternative is a bad LT or unknown that could get your QB injured.
  2. Milano is our weak side lber. We need a replacement for Alexander. The FA packer lber that would best fit there is Kyler Fackrell.
  3. Likely. Martinez is great at playing cleanup, but he can get washed out easily. Particularly against zone schemes. He’s not good at taking on blocks and he’s exposed against the run in Pettine’s scheme. Part of that is due to bad NT play, but Martinez is more of a chase guy instead of downhill. More of a WLB in a 4-3. Decent speed and coverage ability.
  4. I think so. It harkens back to Spurriers comments at South Carolina where his injury problems were referred to as “want to play” rather than couldn’t play. The perpetually playing dinged up worries me more than anything else honestly. His work ethic has never been something I questioned, just whether or not he was available for work.
  5. Maybe Bezos wants to own the athletic as well as the Washington post.

  7. I’m not forgiving. There were a few moments when he gets a shoulder bump from teammates after a drop.... It’s concerning. Particularly when you combine it with his apathetic blocking.... makes you wonder if he “gave up” on some plays and was surprised when the ball did show up on time and accurately. Despite the physical talent he has a much lower floor than the top three guys. There’s a reason - or two post 40 - he’s not in that discussion.
  8. Concentration for the most part. There are times where he has the ball knocked out by stronger and/ longer DBs. Generally though his drops are concentration lapses. I think he got frustrated at times and lost his focus somewhat. If you watch full game tapes you can see him visibly frustrated with the QB play. Then you see him a few plays later try to turn upfield early or something else.
  9. Gotta love a good leasehold. It’s becoming more common here now as well. ?
  10. His route running leaves a fair amount of room for improvement. He tends to be inconsistent, get high, round off routes, etc. It’s going to take some work to fix that, and I’m not sure if he has enough suddenness to really excel at all the routes. That coupled with Baylor’s route tree means he probably won’t start day 1 like some of the other options. He will contribute though. He has a round 1 ceiling with a lower floor. I had him pegged as late second to mid third before the senior bowl. As much as I love how he high points the ball, what really jumped out to me is how aggressively he blocks play side. He’s not a great blocker, however the attitude is there and he’ll attack a corner like a dog. Out of all the receivers I like his game as a match for Allen.... Yes, he can get deep, but his catch radius, how he boxes out DBs, and catches that back shoulder fade make him perfect for the intermediate area of the field.
  11. I can easily see 2-3 WRs being added. If we’re honest every one except Beasley, Brown, and maybe Edwards are replaceable and upgradable. Considering the WR depth in the draft it’s entirely possible that WR will be BPA at several of Beane’s picks even if he gives up assets to trade up somewhere.
  12. I certainly can’t speak to the talk of gang affiliations in HS, etc. I’m not sure if that’ll be a huge knock on him as he seems to have left that behind. However, the incident before the Virginia Tech game is definitely something he’s being asked about in interviews.
  13. I’m not as down on his hands as many. I worry more that a fair amount of his concentration lapses are due to apathy and then trying too hard when he did get the ball. In other words, he seemed mentally affected by poor QB play. If you watch the complete games you can see him visibly frustrated. Granted there were plays where he’d be wide open during a read and the QB would go elsewhere, passes sailed over his head, behind him, etc. That coupled with his poor run blocking are my dings on Reagor. Flipeside is that there’s tape of him chasing down a db from behind after an int and stripping the ball out with Don Beene effort. ?‍♂️... With that in mind, I think you can get a similar player in Lynn Bowden Jr later, and Bowden doesn’t have any real knocks other than rusty route running from playing QB.
  14. I think Epenesa will have to be moved inside on passing downs to maximize his potential in a 43.
  15. I’m not sure that they’d move up to 12, but I could see 15-16

  17. Yup. Bad year for Cook. He missed all the offseason workouts, OTAs, etc due to foot surgery, and then missed 6 games with a high ankle sprain. Although, come playoff time when Cook was healthy again he and Rodgers hooked up for 18 receptions, 228 yards, and 2 TDs. Wilson is certainly better than Rodgers at this point, and the hawks have more playmakers on offense. GB has a better Oline. GB has serious issues stopping the run though. Whether the Seahawks are better as a point of fact is debatable since GB has won four of their last five head to head. I’d say it’s a wash though since the home team has won that contest for the past decade: every game since 08’! We will see what happens the next time they play. It’s usually fun to watch. I could live with it. Problem is that he plays dinged up all the time and it affects his performances, especially against speed rushers.
  18. I honestly haven’t really focused on him at all. None of the 1-3 round safety prospects actually. I figured that’s be something they dip their toe in next year. Now... bigger CBs that might be converted to safety if they can’t make it outside; I’ve looked at these guys. Lol. Hence my Bryce Hall mention
  19. Yup. I’d be happier than a pig in slop if we came out of the second round with Mims, weaver/Uche, and idk Bryce Hall.
  20. If all the top players are gone and the only value is at a position we have depth in I’d rather see a trade back to get extra 2nd and 3rd round picks. Say... trading our first to the colts for 34 and 44.
  21. I’m still trying to figure out why people keep saying this? Seriously confused because it’s not like he’s ever caught more than 15 passes in a year. I honestly don’t care that his hands aren’t a known commodity.... I just want to know where the Dillon has decent hands narrative comes from without enough tape to back it up, because to me it’s kind of similar to saying John Brown’s a good QB because of his QB rating. ?‍♂️
  22. I’m of the opinion that we need a second guy with versatility so the substitution doesn’t reveal playcalling tendencies. Speed, power, etc are secondary to that for me.
  23. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t GB beat the Seahawks in the playoffs this year? We can call Rodgers vs Wilson a wash, but I think most will acknowledge that Wilson has surpassed Rodgers at this point of their careers. As for signing Hooper, Rodgers has force fed top TE talent when he has one, and will be a first ballot HOFer. Lambeau may be a winter wasteland, but with Rodgers and their last three decades of playoff history it probably looks like a winter wonderland to pass catching FAs. What JA and Daboll do with a top TE is an unknown to these guys, so it’s about money. If it’s just about maximizing cash to Hooper there is probably a better option available for the Bills. Get guys who want to join “the family” and let other teams sign the guys who are about cash, partying, etc. JMO
  24. Cook missed OTAs etc due to foot surgery and then missed 6 games due to a high ankle sprain. His stats for that season are low because of that. Look at his playoff performances that year after he regained his health... Rodgers fed Cook the ball. Aside from Cook and Jermichael Finley most of their TEs have been older retreads and late rounders. Graham’s first year in GB was similar to his last in Seattle. He dropped off this season; stopped getting as much separation and started losing jump balls. Not worth the money ($11.6MM cap) anymore. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CookJa02/gamelog/post/ https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GrahJi00.htm Now, Rodgers dropping off along with a system change is also a conversation that can be had. That certainly plays into all of this.
