Continuity could be a huge advantage if the off-season is abbreviated due to this virus or a CBA related work stoppage.

This basically sums up my sentiments on the matter. I think that as a whole we should be focusing on the wideouts with QB experience, advanced route running, exceptional separation skills, and/ experience in Daboll’s system.

$5MM per is less than I thought he’d get. With Ford likely set to start at RT let’s hope he improves.... and let’s hope Allen takes a leap recognizing blitzes and calling protections.

There have been plenty of players that have come out and said that the only thing that matters in NFL contracts is the guaranteed money. Taking advantage of additional guaranteed money is likely more important to established vets who aren’t “premium” players at premium positions. Particularly if that player is over 30 when making an extra $1MM two to three years from now is less likely. They often do when they’re 30 or older, play an unheralded position, get another chunk of guaranteed money, like where they’re at, and value job security. Plus this offseason there are a bunch of good NTs (Hargrave, Reader, Pierce, etc) on the market which is rare. Star’s restructure was a win for both sides as it not only cuts his cap figure, but guarantees salary and insures he doesn’t have to compete with a saturated market. I’ll concede that Star is not a top 5 NT, so his initial FA contract was an overpay. However, I view that contract like buying a part for a SAAB.... You’ll have to over pay for a critical OEM part because the only alternative is something unreliable from the “pick and pull”.

I’ve tempered my language on MBs ever since I got put in “jail” on BBMB for a massive anti Jauron rant during the 08’ season. ?‍♂️?. I don’t like the overemphasis on teamers at the cost of offensive and defensive talent. With that said, poor teams play can break a season. Still.... I think getting a top punter would have a greater effect than keeping a top gunner. Most franchises have a few roster spots for teams though, and I can live with that. What I’d like to see is a few more active roster spots in the new CBA for teams and developmental players. I’d like to see McKenzie upgraded. On top of that I think every receiver spot not claimed by Brown and Beasley can be upgraded

In that circumstance it’d be because he actually improved and beat out the other depth guys along with teams play. I seriously doubt it happens since he’s had better coaching and more experience with Daboll’s offense than any other bills receiver. If he hasn’t gotten it by now..... However, I can’t get how long Easley stayed on the roster as a teams standout out of my head. Nor can I ignore the possibility that a rookie shines in return duties and makes Roberts expendable. At the end of the day I want to see 2-3 WR additions and an upgrade to RB depth. We need playmakers. I can live with Foster hanging around on the bottom of the WR depth chart if he’s making plays on teams, but I’m going to be miffed if there isn’t a massive upgrade to the position overall.

IDK. If we go into the season with a depth chart of A.J. Green, Brown, Beasley, Aiyuk, Foster and Roberts I don’t think too many people would complain.

That’s the most likely choice because there will be value there so BPA will likely match need. They’ll also need a CB to start opposite Lattimore if they can’t afford to keep Jenkins, and a CB to groom behind him is he can be retained. They need an upgrade at guard and Oline depth. Then there’s QB which could become a need quickly depending on what happens with Brees and Bridgewater. I think they go WR, but depending on what happens in FA I could see them going CB, G, or QB if one of those positions is at the top of their board.

The Saints may very well go WR. Corner is also in play for them.

Highly likely that GB and SF each take a WR which starts a run that goes through the early 2nd. Particularly since those teams will be looking to give young QBs weapons.

He’s something between a 3-Tech and a penetrating 1 tech.... Kind of like Liuget. ?. Bringing in Reader ,or Hargrave, would allow them to run a jumbo DT package. That’s a viable reason for McB to sniff around. Fritz Shurmur used to run zone blitz schemes with two NTs in several locations.... McD’s and Frazier’s mentor (Jim Johnson) was the D line coach for Shurmurs cardinals defenses. The schemes and ways to utilize personnel would be familiar to them. That’s something to consider here when we know we need to shore up the run D.

I had that happen with a hunting knife. Previous trip was to Wyoming.... found the knife 3 months later while unpacking my carry on duffle in the Bahamas. How they missed a 5” fixed blade in the x-ray I’ll never know.

They’re already streaming Thursday night games on amazon and Hulu. My guess is that a “Sunday ticket” moves to a PPV service on different streaming channels with possible package deals available. It makes the most sense and allows for an international audience.

Are you talking about Bowden? IMO he’s surprisingly good at elevating, boxing out DBs, and catching passes in traffic. Kid just makes plays and has a bit of that Steve Smith edge. I’ll take that any day. Plus, he’s a former QB which - I think - adds value in Daboll’s scheme due to complexity.

He played safety at BC too. ?‍♂️. McD moved him to WLB. In McD’s scheme that type of player fits the will position.

I’m not so sure.... I think he’s a viable option for teams looking to shore up their edge run defense and run a nitro/nascar package. Epenesa probably isn’t the guy you want at DE on 3rd and 10, but if he slides to DT in that situation there’s value. It certainly limits the number of teams though. Currently dreaming of replacing McKenzie with Bowden.
