  1. That’s the critical component. This team doesn’t “need” the top 5 defense to win. Now that they seem to be adjusting and evolving to play with a good offense..... look out.
  2. One thing that might work towards Daboll staying here until a great HC gig comes calling is that the Pegulas aren’t cheap with salaries.
  3. Let it go man. That whole show is is the sports version of “discover these ten tricks to a faster....”
  4. I think he’ll stick around unless the right offer comes along. I can’t see him bailing on what’s become a cushy OC gig in his city with a QB who’s making him look good for a mismanaged franchise with poor ownership.
  5. Pretty sure they beat the Rams with Brady’s take being over $20 million. 🤷‍♂️
  6. Part of checking a horses health is looking in the mouth and inspecting the teeth because they’ll show signs of malnutrition and mistreatment. Basically means that it’s insulting and inappropriate to inspect a gift as though it’s a purchase.
  7. Not to mention that week 1 division games are usually closer than they should be and a total crapshoot.
  8. I think McD and Frazier figured out how to utilize Klein in a way that kept him from being exposed. It seemed to me that they did their best to have him playing downhill or in the flat for the most part so his lack of athleticism couldn’t be exploited like it has in previous weeks. Honestly, they probably caught the Seahawks by surprise there. Hats off to the coaching staff because they caught Carroll and company with their pants down.
  9. Particularly if Morse is out long term. Dawkins, Spain, Mongo, Ford, Williams would be solid. Can’t complain too much about how Böttger and Bates have played though.
  10. Yeah. That was concerning. I got up and grabbed two beers when that happened. Finally getting some off time might help with that. There are a lot of lingering little injuries on this team, and compensating for that is likely to cause more injuries. I’m hoping the bye will cure some of those. I’m cautiously optimistic.
  11. I think we may be seeing Dabs offense starting to reach maturity as Allen and others gain experience. Last two weeks have been kind of vintage Patriots O in that they just went full bore exploiting the opposing defenses biggest weakness. Hopefully the O-line gets healthy before/during the bye and everyone is healthy down the stretch.
  12. I’m hoping they all beat the ever living snot out of each other down the stretch while we get healthier.
  13. Any possibility that Whitewater Jesus can make a miracle happen and get his cousins to shore up the DL?
  14. Folks are under the impression that 300 yards and 3 TD is possible every week..... What they fail to realize is that it’s only possible every week if the QB is willing to play like Winston and Fitzpatrick.
  15. Williams is probably the proper choice for exceptional quiet performer. He seems to be back - or close - to his pre-injury form. An absolute steal for the ~$2.5 million we’re paying him. The big question is whether or not he can be resigned at a decent price. 🤞🏼. If he can’t then we’ll likely be in line for a 3rd or 4th round pick.
  16. No need to worry about that this weekend. Phins already lost to Seatle. If they lose to the Cardinals on Sunday then we don’t have a deficit with common opponents. Plus, best they can do is tie the head to head and divisional W/L. It’s likely that Miami loses another AFCE game starting Tua as McD, Williams, and BB are all good at confusing rookie QBs.
  17. Only matters that they’re relevant, mainly because I’d like to be able to catch Bills coverage in rural VA and NC. My place in VA has no cable and only 3g for cell service. 🤷‍♂️
  18. I’m all for it. I’m all for W’s. The added bonus of a low scoring affair will be the media asking “is the bills defense back?”
  19. Entirely possible. Seahawks offense has been great, but as the season’s played out a lot of those wins look less impressive; Falcons, Dallas, Vikings, Patriots, Phins with Fitztragic. Bills and Hawks are a lot more evenly matched then many Bills fans are willing to admit. As good as Metcalf, Lockett, and Wilson have been they’ve basically allowed equivalent performances from opposing offenses. I’m looking forward to this game.... it reeks of a high scoring affair where one or two defensive splash plays wins it. Granted, that means it’ll probably end up being a defensive snoozfest with our luck.
  20. The way to deal with that is finding ways to muddle what the D is taking away presnap.
  21. How do injuries factor into your season long view of the Bills and Phins? IIRC, the Fins only had a backup corner out in that Rams game. In contrast this Bills team has been nailed with injuries since game one.
  22. I’m hoping there’s some hidden curse for trying to end the Fitzpatrick Cycle prematurely.
