  1. Perfect post. Putting JP in this year will help us better evaluate the rest of the offense heading into the offseason.
  2. Wonderful! So once again, according to a Bledsoe Apologist, if you try to place the bulk of blame for the Ravens game on Drew and his 5 turnovers, then you are not an intelligent person. Simply wonderful!
  3. Holy stevestojan am I getting tired of this argument. The problem with Drew is not that he isn't a "mobile QB" like Vick; it's that he has ZERO pocket awareness. Peyton Manning is a great QB because he has the ability to sidestep and move the slightest bit within the pocket to avoid the sack. Now having JP is great for the same reasons we have McGahee and Evans. SPEED. These three guys add extras dimensions to our offense that could make it impossible - hopefully by the start of 2005 - for teams to send waves of blitzers up the middle and not expect to get burned as a result. With the 2003-2004 Bills offensive units, the formula for containment is too simple with the likes of Drew and Travis Henry and, yes, even Moulds when he's not paired with a Peerless Price/Lee Evans type of speedster.
  4. I don't think Travis was benched. He was playing with a painful injury and it might have just become too much to withstand.
  5. Hey njsue, is it possible that maybe BOTH the OL and Drew suck? Why is this such a one-or-the-other situation with you?
  6. Aside from the past two Sundays, Shelton has been terrible - especially in picking up blitzes.
  7. Drew makes $6 million a year doing a QB job that a Trent Dilfer could do for $1 million. I'm agreeing with you that this season Henry has regressed and that Drew has done a pretty good job of not losing any game this year, but how can you disagree with me that Drew hasn't lived up to his contract? But back to the Henry/McGahee debate, there shouldn't even be a debate. Henry starts at HB, McGahee starts at FB, they more or less split the number of carries, and Daimon "all I'm asked to do is block and I can't even do that" Shelton sits. Let's all face it, the traditional FB role has become obsolete.
  8. Sorry pal. The difference is that those of us in the Western Hemisphere are quick to denounce people like Jim Jones and David Koresh. The 99.9% of supposedly civilized Muslims are indifferent to the beheadings.
  9. Wait...you're excusing a 12 year pro who has not been earning his contract for the past 29 games, but coming down hard on a fourth year pro who has gotten better each year despite this season's 4 mediocre starts?
  10. Kelsay should be the 100% starter. Ryan Denney had an extra year to develop and is also 5 years older than Kelsay. IMO he's nothing more than a legitimate run-stuffing backup DE.
  11. Hey Bean Breath, Quit with the personal attacks, OK? If you're tired of stevestojan's stevestojan, then use the "IGNORE" feature on him. stevestojan, what did you do to this tool? Bang his gf or something?
  12. We're bipolar fans. That's ok, provided: A. We still cheer for whichever guy is starting for our Bills. B. We don't cheer when one of our players gets injured.
  13. That's fine. Now go join a St. Louis Cardinals message board and post 5,000 times about how awesome the Bills are.
  14. Come on, man. Don't do that to your little girl.
  15. That's why I split my news viewing time between FOX and CNN.
  16. Can any one of you liberals still living in the Buffalo/Western NY area defend your side? ANYONE?
  17. Thanks for adding the dropped pass stats. So...Josh Reed...dropping about 40% of the passes thrown his way...that could partly explain why Drew is reluctant to throw to him. Not exactly Mr. Clutch here.
  18. So you're saying Reed's lack of production is mostly Drew's fault for locking too much onto Moulds? I guess I could buy that argument, especially since the Patriots are loaded with short and slow WR's like Reed who each still somehow manages to get open and receive an even amount of passes from Brady. Anyone else want to comment on Reed?
  19. Win all 5 remaining home games and beat the Bengals, 49ers, Dolphins, and a banged-up Ravens away...that's the easiest route to 10-6 and the playoffs...stranger things have happened in the NFL...
  20. I bet TD is salivating right now at the opportunity to trade up in round 2 for him.
  21. Our FS of the future will be Troy Vincent.
  22. Extrapolating their 5-game stats over a full 16 games: Moulds: 99 rec, 1264 yds, 10 TD Evans: 32 rec, 794 yds, 3 TD Reed: 16 rec, 195 yds, 0 TD Aiken: 6 rec, 38 yds, 0 TD As everyone already figured, Moulds is having a monstrous season and is pretty much carrying the slack for everyone else. However, Evans is developing very well after only 5 career NFL games and could have a 2002 Price-like impact by the final quarter of the season. Aiken hasn't been given much playing time, but the coaches must have otherwise liked his development outside the games to promote him to #4 WR and cut Shaw. The lone sore spot, of course, in our WR corps is Mr. Josh Reed. He's actually regressed since his rookie season. If he doesn't get any better in the next few games, I say promote Aiken to #3, make Reed inactive for the second half of the season, and then cut him when it's over. Oh, and in case anyone still cares, Peerless Price's 6-game stats over a full 16 games: Price: 45 rec, 717 yds, 0 TD
  23. I bet we'd easily be a top 5 statistical unit without those killer injuries to our secondary. And maybe this is wishful thinking, but I think we are 1 DL and 1 DB away from being the #1 NFL defense. Two guys I'm looking at closely to put us over the top are Kelsay and McGee. If Kelsay steps up at DE, then we can start producing a pass rush without having to always resort to blitzing. And if our other second year man McGee steps up at CB, then we could slide Vincent on over to FS and hopefully start grabbing more interceptions.
