Our offensive line is mediocre. Not good, but not bad. Just mediocre. Middle of the road. Somewhere between a #15 and #20 ranked NFL OL unit. With this line, along with Moulds and McGahee, there's NO excuse for our offense being as unproductive as it is. Like it or not, most of the blame for our offense's lack of productivity goes right to Drew. Sorry.

"Remember, MM is just a rookie coach"
Typical TBD Guy replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not ready to throw out Mularkey just yet...not after 9 games. But it does piss me off that Teflon Tom didn't have the cajones and Ralph Wilson didn't have the money to bring in a respected coach with some prior experience. Why has our franchise become the training ground for rookie coaches? -
Was Peerless really that good?
Typical TBD Guy replied to BillsFanM.D.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. The singular event that contributed to Drew's demise was Game 9 in Buffalo against the Patriots (and not Price's departure). Bill Bellysick, in that game, exposed Drew for the fraud that he was and is. Aside from the first 2 games of the 2003 season, Drew has yet to recover. 2. In 2002, our D was close to the bottom of the league in virtually every statistical category. This season, we are still close to the top (even after Sunday night's collapse - we're still the #5 overall defense in yards/game). -
Drew's cap #s for next season
Typical TBD Guy replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So if we cut Drew after June 1 2005, what are the official cap hits for 2005 and 2006? Anyone know? Personally, I'd rather just take the total cap hit on the 2005 season only. We may need all the extra cash we can find to sign our free agents for 2006. -
Jerry Stevestojan = master of the obvious. Anyone can B word and moan. But coming up with viable alternative solutions is much tougher. Jerry's solution to Drew Bledsoe over the offseason? Mark fuggin Brunell!!! In case any of you haven't been following the Skins, Mark Brunell is actually playing WORSE than Drew!

For the life of me....
Typical TBD Guy replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mentioned this yesterday somewhere, but I wonder if Reed's downfall is largely a result of our QB. Think about it. Reed is no less physically talented than any of the Patriots WR's, but Tom Brady has somehow made those guys stars. He's accused of not getting open, yet Tyke Tolbert himself (2 weeks ago) has said Reed is the best WR he's coached in a while at finding separation from the coverage. So maybe Drew just isn't ever wanting to throw to him, opting for Mr. Moulds instead? And the dropped passes. Reed NEVER had this problem in college. But then again, all other Bills WR's/RB's/TE's are suffering from the dropsies. Maybe Drew is throwing those sub 10-yd passes harder than he should? I'm not necessarily saying Reed's failures ARE indeed Drew's fault, I'm just saying that it's a distinct possibility which should be taken into account before calling for Reed's head in the offseason... -
I don't think Drew will be a factor
Typical TBD Guy replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because Bledsoe has a propensity for turning over the ball...just to go along with his typical 8/15, 81yd performance. -
Please come to your senses

Are the odds of JP failing as significant as you say? Putting Sunday night's debacle aside, JP still has a very good D unit backing him up, a very good ST unit backing him up, 1-2 very good RB's who could carry the bulk of the offensive load, and an OL that can give him at least 3.5 seconds of time to scan the field before scrambling out of the pocket. I'd say the circumstances for JP starting now are good...at least as good as they are for the Giants or Redskins. As long as JP is healthy (and I understand that this may still be a big question mark), there's no reason for Mularkey not to start him now. We, as football fans, need to stop treating JP like a 5 year-old son. He's a grown man now. He can handle the physical hits. He can handle the mental pressure. Big Ben can. Eli Manning can. Craig Krenzel can. You learn best with hands-on experience. So play the motherfugger already! A QB can't play any worse than Drew has right now! Let the JP era begin! -
Whats wrong with this picture
Typical TBD Guy replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only excuse I will accept at this point is that JP isn't yet 100% physically healthy. I can only pray that this is the reason. -
Could all of the fans Boo Drew out?
Typical TBD Guy replied to DreamOnDan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just please don't start cheering if Drew gets hurt, like we did with RJ. If Drew effs up again on Sunday, it's every paying fan's right to boo. But let's not turn The Ralph into a modern-day Roman Coliseum, OK? -
I want to commend Bobby April
Typical TBD Guy replied to BF_in_Indiana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope Bobby lasts longer with the Bills than did Jackie, Jackie Jr., and Richie on The Sopranos. -
When did drew lose his mojo?
Typical TBD Guy replied to Corp000085's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1998. That's when he started to lose his mojo. By game 9 of the 2002 season, it was officially lost. -
You couldn't be more right, Oneida Lake. JP Losman is going to be an NFL bust. Those 5 plays he was given in garbage time against last year's SB champs are undeniable proof. However, Drew Bledsoe's past 33 games of 41 as a Bill have been a mere anomaly in a Buffalo career that will surely cement his first-ballot HOF status, let alone Bills WOF status.

Why do we throw so much to Moulds?
Typical TBD Guy replied to eSJayDee's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Makes you wonder if Mr. Biletnikoff is really as bad as he's seemed the past 2 years, because I still don't see how New England's top WR's have any more natural talent. -
You're right, I forgot about the Drew-led offensive juggernaut that we are when we're at RWS...

Is Drew a 1st-Ballot Hall-of-Famer???
Typical TBD Guy replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do you also think Vinny Testaverde should be in the HOF? -
We'll settle for just Matthews if that's the case.

THANK YOU. PERFECT POST. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.

The girl in pic 13 was kind of cute. But yes...I see your point!

And so continues the running joke that has been this franchise since 1965.

Where do we go from here?
Typical TBD Guy replied to Typical TBD Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Couldn't disagree more. The overall problem with this team IS centered around Drew (though of course it's TD's fault for bringing him to Buffalo and especially for extending his contract beyond last offseason). Think about it. Aside from that ghastly egg our D laid last night, our team is still strong on D and strong on special teams. Do we have the 85 Bears D and the early 90's Bills special teams? No, but let's be realistic. Aside from the offense, the rest of this team is certainly good enough to be 6-3 and in the thick of the playoff race right now. Now to the offense. Drew is the main problem with it and therefore, as stated above, the entire team as well. He telegraphs his passes by looking at the guy (always Moulds) 1-2 seconds before releasing the ball, he's so immobile to the point that all opposing D's need to do is overwhelm the middle of the OL and the play is done, he throws passes of less than 10 yds way too hard, he can't hit receivers in stride anymore, he chokes in must-win games, he chokes in road games, he chokes in night games, he's proven to be utterly useless in leading this team out of a point deficit greater than 7 points (something he used to do with regularity early in his career), and - IMO most importantly - he's taking up 6 million dollars of cap space performing a conservative QB role that a $1 million man could do (example: Trent Dilfer). Time to face the goddamned facts: Drew is done. His sack-accumulating brain has turned to mush, he has no more confidence in himself, and the rest of the offense has no more confidence in themselves as a result. If you strongly disagree with this assessment, that's fine. But all I have to say is that those who don't learn from history are billsfanone to repeat it. None of us (including me) learned from the Patriots late 90's decline. None of us paid attention to the Patsies fans telling us that the rest of their offense suddenly got their act together when one man - Drew - left. A few of us still don't get it, and that's why us non Drew Apologists are so vehemently angry/annoying. The sooner 100% of the Bills fans wake up and protest to the front office about sticking with Drew (with phone calls, letters, amd most importantly ticket sales), the better. -
1. Ralph needs to make a public announcement ripping on his team. It will let us die-hard fans feel better knowing that at least the organization is as angry and frustrated as we are. 2. Ralph needs to promote Modrak to GM and leave Teflon as President of Operations immediately. This move will not only reinforce my point #1 but also preserve some continuity for the franchise (and even Teflon's biggest haters will admit that he's done an outstanding marketing job). 3. Move Vincent to FS ASAP and let McGee get nearly a full season of reps at CB. Neither Reese nor Prioleau nor Baker nor Wire are our answers to FS. We know that by now, so let's give Vincent his due shot. As for CB, depending on McGee's performance improvement, we'll know by late December to either just go draft or instead try free agency at this position. 4. JP needs to start ASAP, preferably the home Rams game but no later than the home Browns game. Drew needs to be told that unless he agrees to further restructure his contract to second string money, then he will be cut on June 1, 2005. 5. Lawrence Smith should be cut this week. He's worse than Pukecillo. Yeah that's right - I said it. Tucker takes Smith's place for the remainder of the season, with reps going to Bannan and Pukecillo to see if they stay as backups next year. 6. Henry needs to start at HB, McGahee at FB, and let them receive an approximately equal amount of carries. I think we all owe Henry an apology, since it's obvious that the latest OL shuffling has played a huge part in his sudden decline in 2004. Thoughts?

JP needs to start NOW.

I posted this yesterday but will do it again to make us all feel even worse The Bills haven't won their division since 1995. They haven't won a playoff game since 1995. They haven't made the playoffs since 1999. They haven't had a winning season since 1999. We are also among the 10 worst NFL teams of the 21st century, record-wise.
