  1. They don't have the $$$ to get in the DeMulling mix.
  2. Why were we never in the market for Vincent? He was a huge run-blocker with a small price tag. Plus, he was a former Steeler. Just seems like the kind of guy we would have loved to at least come in for an interview. Were there any glaring negatives to his game that probably steered TD/MM/McNally away from him?
  3. The Dolphins have no 2nd rounder, so what will they trade if not their first rounder? Surtain and a 3rd maybe? Taylor and something? I'm getting fed up with the AFC East. The toughest division in the NFL is only getting tougher now that the Dolphins are quickly bouncing back.
  4. Here is the complete ranking: 1. Bill Polian 2. Dick Gallagher 3. John Butler 4. Tom Donahoe 5. Stew Barber 6. Bob Lustig 7. Pat McGroder 8. Terry Bledsoe Enjoy.
  5. Why not try the 10-0-1 with Wire as the DB? That'll make up for the run-stopping prowess PW provided. Dy-no-mite!!!
  6. Actually, if Holcomb is outperforming JP in preseason, I will just stop posting. How about that?! I'll just shut my mouth and repeat the phrase, "serenity now," to myself for the remainder of the 2005 season. Or....I could always log on at the buffalobills.com message board and complain there. My football-related posts here are doctoral dissertation-quality compared to the drivel and falsehoods spewed forth on that board.
  7. At least I'll be honest and up front with you all: I'll start chanting it before preseason is over if Holcomb is clearly outshining JP in camp. It's all about winning. And if Holcomb is doing some special things at QB, there's no point in wasting the other 52 players' time and the fans' time and Ralph's time. Five straight seasons without a playoff appearance. If Holcomb gives us a better chance at breaking that streak in 2005, then I'm all for Holcomb.
  8. Teague had his chance at LT with Denver. He blew it. Tom and Tom and Co. evaluated MW as a LT in 2002. Time to move him where he belongs.
  9. Houser sounds like a great pick-up if Dorenbos' career is over. Womack sounds like an overrated RT and what would be an overpaid LG. There are better options in free agency...just my opinion.
  10. Unless the Shelton trade happens - and it won't - it's time for everyone to get used to having MW at LT. Womack, Teague, and Gandy are all much worse LT options than MW. MIKE WILLIAMS WAS DRAFTED TO PLAY LEFT TACKLE, NOT RIGHT TACKLE.
  11. Then I'd strongly suggest you go get a pack of diapers. 2005 is going to be a looooong season for JP.
  12. I think it was NHL '94 because NHLPA '93 was the last version to have fighting in it.
  13. Read Fake-Fat's post above.
  14. Peters is currently listed at 328 lb. If he could somehow get down to 310 lb and buckle down in his playbook studies by preseason, I think he could be our new starter at TE in the mold of a Bubba Franks. It's sad, really, that this kid has all the potential in the world - I'm talking Pro Bowl talent - but a $.02 brain and questionable dedication. P.S.: Why was this thread labelled as OT?
  15. That's a valid argument. Americans - as a general rule of thumb - just don't do math/science. Those who want to pursue these fields know that they will be harassed on a semi-regular basis and labeled a "nerd" throughout their educational lives, beginning in early grade school and continuing throughout college and even beyond. In America, everyone wants to be a lawyer and no one wants to be an engineer. That used to be ok, though, since we imported the brainpower overseas, and this brainpower would often decide to become US citizens after seeing the higher quality of life in this country. But no, that trend is now coming to an end, and the ramifications will be a United States that will fall behind technologically, i.e. falling behind economically/militarily as well. I'm not excited to see the ramifications of this policy in a few more decades, unless we all have no problem learning Chinese...
  16. No doubt you are a grade A ****, and your cold-hearted lack of empathy for other humans is probably a reflection of the many nights you spend alone. However, you've been 100% accurate on this topic with respect to comparing AIDS to the bubonic plague. The bubonic plague was a highly communicable disease, while AIDS is indeed a "lifestyle" disease...at least for 99.999% of those that end up getting caught with it. For the vast majority of those 99.999%, pride and laziness are the reasons for not putting a plast wrap over their dongs. There is a significant percentage of African victims, however, that do not have protected sex because A. they are still ignorant in their understanding of STD prevention, and/or B. they don't have access to condoms. And those are the people we Americans have a moral obligation to help/educate.
  17. So, can I interpret this as meaning you've already discovered that God doesn't exist? Why, then, have you been keeping your discovery such a secret all this time?! Show us your proof and/or derivations so us commoners can quickly throw away these ridiculous cross necklaces!
  18. Last year, Christie went 4 for 7 between 40-49 yds and 3 for 4 above 50 yds. Meanwhile, Lindell went 1 for 3 between 40-49 yds and 0 for 0 above 50 yds. So I'm not so sure Christie's leg is done.
  19. No, but that's not even the relevant question. The question is do we Bills fans have a right to question TD's decision-making on this board without being called morons or without being expected to produce a "Fake-Fat Sunny" length essay to support our complaints in order to reach some standard of validity? None of the dissenters here have called for TD's head or have suggested that they themselves could have fielded a better team over the past 4 years. What we've said is that there are a number of reasons that suggest TD isn't doing as good of a job as most here give him credit for... i.e. he shouldn't be considered among the top 4 GM's currently in the league as todd has repeatedly alluded to...
  20. What? So you suggested earlier that TD is at worst the 4th best GM in the NFL, and you have "nothing to refute?" Ahahahaha! Back that statement up first before you start calling everyone else morons.
  21. todd, Bill from NYC just named 4 better GM's than TD. Why don't you refute his post with more details, and support your dissent with logical arguments? Sincerely, - a moron
  22. Correct, but you can't get to the Super Bowl without first making the playoffs. And the GM's of all those teams I listed have gotten their respective teams much closer to the Super Bowl than TD has in the past 4 years - the past 2 of which I feel TD has no good excuse.
  23. If Willis can gain more speed but still maintain that power he showed last year...well, would I be exaggerating when I say he could be the next OJ Simpson minus the bloodlust?
  24. Didn't they just pick up Vonnie Holliday?
  25. I don't see the Shelton trade happening. I'm basing this purely on internet rumors, but I just don't think Henry was ever that intriguing an option to the Cards. And if a Shelton trade isn't possible, then any LT outside a player already on our roster may not be possible either. So that would leave us with Teague, MW, and Gandy as potential LT's. I see this as the most viable direction to take: LT: Mike Williams LG: Free Agent C: Teague (maybe Tucker since I like him better for run blocking) RG: Villarial RT: Free Agent DeMulling would be a great LG addition, as you suggested. For RT, my preference would be Fred Miller. But if Stockar McDougle's price comes down, I wonder if McNally would be interested in working with this underachieving lard.
