Really? You think Rapp and Hamlin are the two best safeties on the roster? Maybe they are.
Johnson is going to come back and play slot. Lewis has to go back to dime safety.
Bishop is a second round pick. Surely you don't want him to sit all season?
I agree except about the easing rookies thing as that has been overblown.
I feel like the best safety combo would be Edwards playing the Hyde role and Bishop the Poyer role. But that would mean both Rapp and Hamlin go to the bench. Still I think if everyone had been healthy Edwards and Bishop would have won the starting jobs.
A good problem to have. How do you keep Ingram off the field after that great game?
Bishop looks like he is ready to play.
When Taron comes back somebody is going to have to go to the bench.
Even Hamlin is playing ok.
Is Bishop a replacement for Rapp or for Hamlin? Have to figure with as good as Lewis has shown( crow swallowed) he still is the safety in the dime package when Taron comes back.
That spin move was sick last night. And it came late in the game when he didn't really even need to do it.
But now it is on tape. OTs are going to have to be thinking about it, which will make the bull rush even harder to defend.
Keep him fresh for the playoffs. I'd still play him 30 or less snaps a game.

This is what he does best. He gets guys with supposed marginal talent to play with confidence and make plays. His scheme is a Dolphin killer.
