Congrats to JA on 100 career starts

Best QB in franchise history history! Second best player in franchise history second only to Bruce Smith. That will change the moment he wins a Lombardi!!! -
Keeping it in perspective, Bills win percentage

Yeah that seems like a bad line... Probably the uncertainty at QB for Pittsburgh was playing a role in that but who knows what Vegas thinks -
They showed it several times on TV. It was pretty obvious the ball was coming out. In other views it looked clear his toe on the third step was OOB.

I don't see any media drooling over the Jets now. Preseason they had some promise based on getting Rodgers back and the defense. They were 7-10 last year with terrible QB play. But the defense has regressed and the concerns about the OLine that most predicted have largely come true. Adams is not going to fix their Oline issues. -
Oddly I would say Bishop and VanPran probably have the best chance. I can't think of any real dominant safeties in the league anymore. McD obviously has a proven track record developing guys. I haven't followed closely this year to even know if Fitzpatrick is playing at a high level. VanPran might devleop into a great center one day. For the record most of us wanted Creed Humphrey so that would have been a ProBowl player...

Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread

Have you been to Seattle before? Pike Place Market is great. Bainbridge island is a nice walk. There is a underground tour that takes you beneath the city that is cool. Ivar's is a good cheap local place for seafood. -
We need to be a lot better on special teams
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's see how did we lose to the Jets last year? How did we lose to the Broncos last year? Oh yeah most of those guys were on the team and the special teams blew those two games. Bass is the biggest question mark and has nothing to do with UDFAs. Bishop should be our starting SS and he is on kick coverage unit. Hollins is supposed to be excellent at STs. So please don't say they are not still invested in STs. Upgrading from Martin would be fine from me, but people on here believe holding for FGs is some magical skill. -
Good points. I don't recall him giving up a pressure yesterday either. Maybe I missed one but he looked good both in run and pass.
-
You are missing the point. He needs to complete the catch. He didn't. Ten posters have already explained it. Just like last week when Rapp dislodged the ball in the endzone. The WR caught the ball had feet down but didn't finish the catch because Rapp knocked it out.

Amari Cooper is expected to play on Sunday
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Everything you said is correct. He usually is sure handed. The drops in Cleveland were not all bad passes though. He dropped one that was right in his chest that the Raiders intercepted. My guess is he reverts to his normal sure handed play but it will be something that bears watching. -
Isnt that exactly what I said?

Coleman looks like his ceiling is a good #2 WR. That's not a bad thing in modern NFL. Davis looks good but he's old for a rookie RB. Use him up the next three years and move on to the next guy. Carter could be the steal of the draft so far if he keeps playing like he has in the last three games. A shame Bishop got hurt in TC. Probably lost any chance at significant playing time with that injury. He is supposed to be athletic and smart. Wish McD would let him rotate in a few snaps or get some playing time in the dime packages.

Cooper still looks shaky catching the ball. Even the TD catch was a challenge. Also had another one where he looked like he was fighting it. A few more weeks of reps with Josh should hopefully help. -
Yeah he looks like a solid pick right now. DTs take a long time to develop but he started 39 games for Duke. Getting Amare now makes every draft pick last spring look wiser

Oliver played very sparingly. He's obviously not 100%. Shakir finished strong. I bet he got a needle at halftime. He's probably not going to be 100% until after the bye. Hopefully Williams sitting that last series was mostly precautionary

Deshaun Watson may be done for the season
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
He will get the Kam Chancellor and Eric Wood treatment. He will be on the Browns roster on IR for the next two and maybe three years. They can afford his salary but they can't absorb the dead cap hit to cut him. -
Dallas or Pittsburgh
