  1. Lions destroying Titans yet Ridley has 125 yards in the first half. Levis inactive again. Anyone else wonder why Levis is pronounced Levis while Levis jeans is pronounced LEvIs.
  2. https://www.news5cleveland.com/sports/browns/jim-donovan-the-beloved-voice-of-the-cleveland-browns-has-died-at-68 Jim Donovan passed away after a very long cancer diagnosis. He was as much a legend in Cleveland as Van Miller was in Buffalo. Genuinely good guy. I met him once many years ago. He did TV work for NBC for 10 years. His first NBC game he was asked to fill in for someone and that started a ten year career in television. He called several Bills games back in the SuperBowl years. He was named radio announcer when Browns came back to Cleveland and NFL in 1999.
  3. This is not the Seattle team of old. Lynch is not the running back and Walter Jones is not playing LT any longer. They are a pass first team. Seattle is 27th in rush yards per game at 97.4 YPG and 15th in YPC. Yes we are soft up the middle and it is supposed to be wet and rainy. If Bills can score early, Seattle will be one dimensional fairly quickly. Geno can still escape. My biggest worry is Geno decides to go off for 60 yards rushing today because we fail to contain the pocket.
  4. Agree with this take, now that he has Cooper. A win is still a win even if it is ugly. But it would be nice to see this offense really humming.
  5. Except traditionally the Bills have been a very good first quarter team, especially on offense. Every team has a base defense they run. Liek Allen said this week, it has really been self inflicted errors. Amare had a drop, second series they had a penalty I think. Seattle is loud. Josh's kryptonite is not wind. It is rain so that may be a challenge.
  6. I don't recall but isn't there a limit on the number of callups per season? If so they may just be saving some of Shavers callups for later in the year.
  7. I posted a couple years ago that they should transition White to S after the knee injury. The good counter argument is that White was never a good tackler. Sad to say but his career is now likely over.
  8. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-fines-ravens-lb-roquan-smith-over-16k-hip-drop-tackle-ended-chris-godwin-season Wonder with this high profile injury if the league will instruct officials to start calling a penalty more frequently??
  9. That is the traditional theory. Some argue he was born in Spain.
  10. Agreed. Josh was tackled with classic hip drop I think in the Texans game and it was not called. This was more bang bang and I can see why there was no flag.
  11. Awesome!!! Did you see they confirmed Columbus remains were in Seville. DNA shows he was of northern Europeam Jewish ancestry - not Italian.
  12. Pittsburgh signed him to PS today
  13. How many other teams have a guy miss multiple weeks and get announced on Friday? So weird. Oliver hurts his hamstring in practice? Now a broken wrist announced late in the week. It's just weird and frustrating as they seem to come out of nowhere....
  14. Who was the tub of goo we signed last year mid-season? Is he available? Poona is not available.
  15. NFL appears to be investigating the Godwin tackle for hip drop. Because they didn't replay it, I had not see the full video until today. Seems like a bang bang play. The still shot certainly is incriminating for a hip drop technique but when you watch full speed it's hard to tell. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/nfl/article-13990077/NFL-review-hip-drop-tackle-Chris-Godwin-ankle-injury.html?ico=related-replace What do others think?
  16. Argh...just saw this...this sucks. Kid was playing very well
  17. Two schools of thought here in Cleveland. 1. He was protecting Dorsey knowing no matter who called the plays the offense was going to suck with Watson and all the injuries 2. He's either going to quit or get fired
  18. They tried 4-3 in that game but with Spector and Morrow. It was a disaster. I do think a 4-3 of Milano, Williams, and Bernard would be a nice wrinkle to try.
  19. Not to change the subject but since you already did, you are describing two entirely different acts. Keon did not have possession of the ball(that's the arguable point) while the other examples the QB or RB already had possession of the ball and the only issue is whether the plane of the goal line was broken or not. Wow way more than my wife
  20. Took 7 weeks. Told you he was slow...lol
  21. Except it was slipping out of his hands. He clearly did not have control of the ball and then his third step was OOB. It was not a catch.
  22. The OP was so confusing. Did the OP say 2026? So now we don't care about this year or next and we are planning for cap space in two years??? The AFC is wide open now. If the Jags want to trade Josh Allen for a number 1 this year you make that deal. That pick will be no higher than 30th next year. You are not getting a great pass rusher at 30 next year. If you can figure out the money you should mortgage whatever you can to win this year. Cooper gives them a legitimate offense. If you can upgrade safety or edge rusher in the next week or two you have to make that move.
  23. Word from camp was Milano was slow and not really playing that well coming off injury. If Im wrong about that let me know. He does has a few more months to heal so that might help his comeback from the leg injury. Ideally Bils wrap up playoff spot a few weeks before end of season and you can start to rotate Milano in to see if he can play or not. I doubt a guy 15 months out from football at his age is going to make any impact. Like it or not Milano is most likely going to be a cap casualty this off season. Sad because he was playing so well before the injury. But they need all the cap they can get to address DL, WR, Josh's contract, and CB.
  24. Agree but that still doesn’t mean he is worth top dollar. You can pay him that much on the tag for one year and see if he continues to develop, Beane has had some success at getting guys to sign for less than top dollar - Oliver, DQ, Milano, Brown all come to mind. Then again he has overspent on Diggs, Bass, Knox, and Miller.
