  1. Not really. KC gifted us a goal line turn over. The game wasn't nearly as close as it ended up being
  2. Too small, too slow, he had his 5 minutes of Fame. PS here you come
  3. He's a lock. He may be the best pure pass rusher on the team unless Miller bounces back. Rousseau is the best all around DE. My feelings on Epenesa are well known. Curious what others think but Solomon could be this team's version of Lorenzo Alexander. Undersized pass rushing specialist.
  4. He should have been given a chance to start day 1. The best starting five combination are Dawkins, McGovern, Van Pran, Torrence, and Brown. That's an upgrade at LG and probably no drop off at C. The kid started 3 years at Georgia. He's had more meaningful snaps against Pro-level competition at C than McGovern ever has.
  5. They have no hope of winning this year. The entire season is just prep work for next year and to see if Young can be the QB. They have 17 games to figure out who stays for next year.
  6. Some team's third string guy will be better than Trubisky. Both the Browns 3rd and 4th string guys are better than Trubisky.
  7. Jets have questions at QB and OL Bills at WR and multiple levels of the defense but have the best QB Miami has serious issues on defense and their two best players Tua and Hill get nicked up every year Pats will be lucky to win four games and probably will go 0-6 in the division. Allen wills Bills to another division title
  8. For those of us including myself that were wanting Beane to draft this kid on day two, he is not doing much in camp for the Broncos. https://www.oregonlive.com/nfl/2024/08/troy-franklin-could-be-facing-a-redshirt-year-with-the-denver-broncos-in-2024.html Maybe these GMs do know more than me....lol!!!
  9. And he's probably best remembered now for missing a 38 FG in Vikings NFC Championship game...
  10. Ok the words crucial and preseason have never and should never be used in the same sentence...
  11. All this makes sense if you keep Diggs. Once they traded Diggs what else is the fan base supposed to think? There are only two options at that point. Beane has thrown in the towel for 2024 or Coleman has to produce his rookie year. You can't blame the fans for having high expectations when the GM trades away one of the best WRs in franchise history. Trading down and taking Coleman only makes sense if you keep Diggs. If Beane had any thought he was going to trade Diggs he should have done it on draft day and either moved up in the draft or taken two WRs in rounds 1-3.
  12. Interesting suggestion. If you were going to do that it should have been a few weeks ago. In a perfect world, Brown would get a nice raise but not get paid top dollar. However there is usually some team that has cap to burn and overpays. See Jax and Davis.
  13. Excellent post. I forgot about the PS call up option. I'd opt for #4, but I think #2 may be what happens.
  14. Trubisky getting hurt may cost another position group a player. Do you think they go with three or just try to get through week 1 with a gimpy Trubisky? Normally I don't much care about the last guy on the roster, but this year that may be a critical back up safety or the local kid LB. I'd probably take my chances and just go with Trubisky. Even if Allen gets dinged and needs to miss a play Trubisky can still hand off with a bum knee.
  15. You can shame the Jets if you want but they have had 3 AFC Championship appearances since 1999 compared to the Bills one. Bills have 6 total compared to Jets 4. Oh yeah and that SuperBowl win... The legacy of the Jets is Namath, a fur coat, a guarantee, and a win. Oh yeah and the butt fumble...lol So far the legacy of the Bills is Ferguson's ankle, 2000 yards in 14 games, a double homicide, wide-right, the second best DE in NFL history, the comeback, music city miracle and 13 seconds. Hopefully JA changes all that to a Lombardi!!!
  16. Move SVP to starting center and Edwards becomes expendable. May be able to flip him for safety or better back up QB option.
  17. Cam Lewis for an extra roll of tape would be a steal for the Bills
  18. Good assessment. I'm guilty of hyperbole on this one. We agree on everything except Epenesa. For a second round pick he is closer to a bust and isn't even a regular contributor. If Miller had been healthy he would have been a healthy scratch at times last year. He doesn't just disappear for a game, he disappears for several weeks in a row every season. Has he made a single play in any playoff game? If he has please remind me, but I can't think of any. If Davis was more consistent that would have been a homerun pick.
  19. I did not forget. Still doesn't change the drafted players
  20. All this emphasis on special teams and no reliable kicker or punter.... Beane's 2020 draft starting to look like absolute garbage now... Epenesa - terrible, dumb idea to extend him Moss - gone Davis - one great game and some decent seasons - gone Fromm - terrible Hodgins - injured, hype, and no good Jackson - probably going to be the best of the bunch but just an average CB. Not good enough to keep them from drafting Elam. Bass - for a moment he looked as good as the Davis pick. Now he may be falling apart too
  21. Flores actually had more success than most Weiss, McDaniels, and Mangini all got two chances to be head coaches and sucked Flores only one chance and got fired with a winning record. What is the difference between those four people? One is not like the others....
  22. To be fair, Shakir did that with Diggs on the field. Do you think defenses will allow him to get open as much with no other credible WR threat? And that's not taking anything away from Shakir. He catches almost everything though people conviently forget his brutal playoff drop against the Dolphins. Kincaid and Knox will be sensational this year. Shakir if used like Edelman, Welker, Beasley can get 100 catches. Up to Brady and Allen to feed him the ball.
