McDermott apologists never find fault with the HC. Those of us that believe Josh will win a Championship despite McDermott, can still point out his flaws and bad games. As someone else said, Allen self corrects. He will be fine. If not we are screwed. To date McDermott moslty has not self corrected with the notable exception of getting rid of Dorsey mid season.

This a a great take. You are correct. He can't seperate from anyone except Tre White in training camp. And as you said that is more than just straight line speed. No idea what Beane saw in this guy at FSU.

We have seen enough to know we have seen enough... Coleman can carve out a ten year career as a #4 WR. He will never be even a good #2. He simply does not have the speed to win in the NFL. If they are going to continue with everybody eats, well then Coleman should not be force fed the ball like they are doing now. People complained Diggs was targeted too much. Lol. He was a top 3 WR in the NFL. That was always a stupid argument.

It was a good trade. He woudl still be the best WR on the team right now. Would take him back for a 3/4 season rental again if no other trades can be made. Beane needs to swallow his pride and realize Coleman is no better than a WR#4 in this league. Josh needs help. Cooper's presence last year opened everything up and he had the three of the best WR plays of all last year.

Legacy? He was a very good player for a very short time. His legacy is unfulfilled promise decimated by injuries. Lets be honest he was never a lock down man to man shut down corner even before he was injured. Maybe he could have been but McDermott didnt play him like that. Maybe two or three games before he was hurt did he even shadow the opponents #1 WR. Again that may have been scheme.

If McDermott were a decent HC he would intervene during the game. He can veto the play calls. They are in his headset. He can tell Brady and Babbich what to do or specifically what not to do. McDermott is complicit in this mess, but he has multiple scapegoats already lined up to avoid him being held accountable.

90's team would have been very good with McDermott because they had Thurman and Bruce and he probably would have kept Kelly from turning it over so much. Still would have been physically overmatched in the other 3 SuperBowls. Levy with this team would probably be worse than McDermott. He was a leader but not the tactical person needed in today's game. There I made a positive post about McDermott! Here is a twist- give me Ted Marchibroda with this team! Allen or Cook would win 3 MVPs in a row and multiple SuperBowls!

Agreed with letting Edmunds walk. He is a bad football player. I was not thrilled with Bernard extension but I dont think I was upset with it either. I'm not going to fault Beane too much for a guy that made a ton of plays and already has a game winning INT this year. I'm pretty sure at the time the extensions I cared most about were Brown, Cook, Rousseau, Shakir, and Benford in that order. I was against the Oliver draft pick and the extension. I hated the Epenesa extension. I liked the Knox extension at the time. He has underperformed no doubt but still one of my favorite players. Bass extension made no sense given he had another couple years on his rookie deal. At this point I would let Torrence walk. He is good but has not developed into a high level player worth a big second contract. He is easily replaceable.

Second TD of the game. 3rd and goal. Im pretty sure Epenesa, Solomon, Oliver, and Bosa was the DL. Absolute joke. Two guys that are barely above practice squad level when we are paying millions to Rousseau and Walker is the best interior pass rusher on the team.

Doesn't work that away. They need athletes and they dont have them. WR group is a joke Other than Taron the DBs are awful. Benford is overrated and overpaid. LB group had always been too small. None of them can stay on the field. McDermott cost us a trophy with 13 seconds. McDermott chased away Diggs - the only other legit superstar on the team. Beane has decimated the roster with multiple draft pick and FA misses. Only hope is a WR trade and get Hairston and Hoecht back. Just the threat of Cooper last year opened the entire offense. All is not lost as the schedule is still a joke. Get healthy. Make a run.

F Beane!!! The only extension that is playing up to his contract is Cook. Worst WR group in the NFL. But go ahead and yell at radio announcers, while the Steelers get DK. Good to see Davis make a play. Need him to be more productive to save some tread on Cook.
