  1. If a PAT is blocked, the defense and soon to be recieving team should be given the option to take the ball at the point of recovery/end of return or receive the kickoff. Currently a blocked PAT can be returned for 2 points but there is no other reward. Let's say they recover the ball and tackled near mid-field. They can elect to take the ball there.

  2. Beane is so full of it with not using the draft for needs. That's all he does is draft for need and waste picks moving up for guys.

Let me be clear again, I have no problem drafting for need. I think it's mostly insane not to unless a guy falls into your lap. Just trade down at least once to get an additional pick in the first 100.  Now every situation has a counter argument.  I would not have traded up for Hockenson but when Josh Allen, OLB made it past 3 I would have moved up for him. And he has not disappointed. Edge players can contribute immediately.  DTs take time.

Ethan, do ya need a tissue? As the most moral man on this planet you must be in a constant state of disappointment, being your own example of purity has not been followed by the rest of the planets population. Life’s a B-T-H aye...    calm your soul man, find something important to be upset about, then do more than rant, thanks, nuthin but love,

    Go Bills!!!

You interpreted my post wrong. I don't care about character as long as it is not involving abuse.  All I care about is football skills. Murphy has none. He is obviously a product of PEDs. But Beane and McD state repeatedly they want the right type of guys. Murphy is a cheat.  He is being outplayed every week by Lawson. But yet he still starts.

It's the fatal flaw of McD, he sticks with guys that are underperforming too long - Zay, Peterman, DiMarco, Lorax, and KB. It takes Beane trading them to move them along.

I remember when posters here criticized me for suggesting that Murphy was only an average defensive end when we signed him. So many were sure that he would become a dominant force.

Well, it seems the Redskins were right to not resign him. He's a rotational player at best.

Now we've come full circle and posters here are saying Murphy is trash and they don't want him on the field. That's way too extreme. Murphy is just average. He isn't great, he isn't terrible.

He's not even average. But he is high motor...

I think there is no way they let Tre go and play on a 5th year option.  They will extend his contract next year and use next year (last of rookie contract)

    to ease the signing bonus.

I see a good chance the same happening to Poyer.

As for Milano he is on his last year of his rookie contract next year.

LOL.  It is currently at 2.5 seasons since they took over.  Where in the heck are you getting 7 years from!

    Exaggerate much?

Time will tell but I expect some big FA signings along with another decent draft.

Next March will be the START of year 4.

I guess you are in favor of Pegula cleaning house after this season?

If so, who is your hopeful GM/HC signings?

If I were GM I would do exactly what you recommend. But Beane will want Tre to take a little less for an earlier contract. He won't take anything less than top 2 CB money if not top dollar. Beane won't pay it knowing he can get another year or two of elite play on the cheap and still have the franchise tag for year 6.

My guess is Beane will use the cap money to sign a high priced free agent ( if there is any pattern to Beane it is overpaying) or take on a big contract in a trade.

Folks now are criticizing this McD comment.  Bottom line is this, not just for the Bills but for any professional sports team.  You bring in new management, including a HC and GM, they are going to have their own philosophy about how to build a successful team.  If they are successful, then they're heroes.  IF they're not, they get fired.

McD and Beane have been as clear as day about their philosophies.  It's time for folks to realize that, and not be surprised when they stick to their philosophy.

This makes no sense. What is their philosophy? Beane traded for KB and has wasted draft picks moving up in the draft to target certain players. So I'm not sure what philosophy you are referencing.

  6. I was vocal Bills should have traded up for Josh Allen when he made it past the Raiders. He has been great. I didn't want Oliver. After not getting Allen or Hockenson the best move was a trade down. I don't think Oliver is big enough for the NFL. Said it then and sticking to it.

He might be able to play a 3-4 DE from time to time, but McD never uses that formation.

Even though I didn't want Oliver, he is playing ok for a rookie DT. The hopes of a 6-8 sack season  many on here predicted probably will not work out. But it will be 3 years before you really know if he is going to be a star, average,  or a bust.

  7. Play calling is not the issue. Just watch the games. Guys are getting open. Would I like to see a bigger commitment to the run game, play action, and double TE...yes.  But even when they go five wide and hurry up Josh has moved the ball.

They are beating themselves most of the time.

They are being physically beaten at the LOS, the running back has power but no speed, everyone except Brown drops the ball, and they have drive killing penalties.

Poyer is underpaid and should be extended with a new deal. Tre is eligible for an extension, as is Matt Milano. They should consider extending Lawson imo.

You and I both know they won't extend Lawson and its BS. He will get a decent deal in free agency. He might opt for a 1yr prove it deal with someone else hoping a different coaching staff will give him more opportunities and thus a bigger signing bonus the following year.

Poyer is underpaid but Bills have leverage.  They have other safeties on the roster and will almost certainly draft one next year.

Agree they should extend Tre, but they won't.  They will just use the 5th year extension to buy some time.

Im not as enamored with Milano as most but he has mostly made me look silly. Again, there is no need to extend him. He's signed on a rookie deal for two more years. He is not an all-pro so he has little leverage.

Save the dollars for 2021 or spend on edge, wr, or OT this offseason
