  1. I'm a fan and have virtually no idea what I am talking about. I watch the film but have no real idea what the player's responsibilities are on any given play. I post about pass rush as the teams greatest need. What happens? Taron Johnson makes one of the top 3 plays in franchise history with a McD zone defense rushing just four guys. That said since I'm a fan at heart I will point out McD appears to have been outcoached by Reid terribly. Reich seemed to have a better game plan just the wrong QB.
  2. The presumed starting 5 OL did not play a single snap as a unit last year. A healthy Ford can be a big upgrade at LG. They spent money bringing back Williams and Feliciano and draft capital on the pass rush. I have no issues with that approach. I have my well documented concerns about Morse. At least they got him to take a pay cut. I would have drafted C instead of an OT. Taking two OT's still makes no sense.
  3. Watch the tape. He was awful last year. I really liked the player when he was drafted but not what Beane gave up to get him. I have an open mind for 2021. If he makes plays like he did in the second half on 2019 then the Bills D can be elite. He won't be benched no matter how poorly he plays. They don't have a suitable backup and the organization seems committed to Edmunds at MLB.
  4. Davis is a nice player but the WRs on the list are stars already. I think most have moved on from waiting for Edmunds’ potential and are now in show it on the field mode.
  5. I thought so too. As I read the list I thought well at least our kicker will be on there. Bass has the leg strength to be an all time great. He got so much better as the year progressed.
  6. Good take. Beane got the QB. Bow has he done enough to get them a ring with the supporting cast.
  7. This board loves Beane's drafts but not a single player in the top under 25 group according to NFL.com. https://www.nfl.com/news/2021-all-under-25-team-lamar-jackson-leads-nfl-s-rising-stars Obviously Oliver and Edmunds are the biggest omissions. Neither RB has distinguished themselves either. I'm still not over the fact Beane chose Epenesa over Dobbins. I still believe in Knox and Ford. More than most on this board. I'm coming around on Oliver. Hated the draft pick at the time but he has been a decent starter. Certainly not playing at a top 10 pick level but he has been good. I stated a bunch of times DT takes a long time to develop. My guess is Oliver plays really well with the new group of DL folks and gets 8 sacks. As for Edmunds, I think he's the weakest link on the defense but still has as much potential as anyone to be a star. He could be benched after 8 games or make a legit All-Pro. He plays like a guy that should be benched but still has the tools to be a super star. I really hope it was injury that held him back. I don't see anything on film that makes me believe he will be a star, but he has size, range, and youth. Gabe Davis played really well but he is simply not going to get enough attempts thrown his way to put up huge numbers. Maybe next year but not this year assuming Diggs and Sanders stay healthy. Any other under 25 guys you think might break out?
  8. Knox He's the best TE prospect they have had in decades, maybe ever. He has flashed everything you want in a TE. And yet he has been terribly inconsistent. Hopefully he can step up and be a match up nightmare TE like Kelce and Kittle
  9. Speed kills on the edge and power wins in the middle. The Bills DL are all upside down. Neither Star or Phillips is strong enough to be a great disruptor and at best they can hold the point of attack. Epenesa is more power but with him dropping weight he might add a speed rush element. Oliver is quick but lacks power to beat double teams. Rousseau looks like the best candidate to be an elite pass rusher. My guess is they will put him in situations where he doesn't have to think or recognize plays much and can just attack the QB. Basham I agree appears to have position flexibility. I can see him lining up next to Oliver in obvious pass rush situations. If he can play DT snaps at the NFL level then Zimmer is probably not making the roster.
  10. I think his numbers will regress a bit, but will continue to play at a high level. I think the offense will be a bit more balanced this year. As long as he keeps his INTs down and cuts back on his fumbles I won't care if he throws for a few less TDs or yards.
  11. If Allen misses 2 or more games, Trubisky could mean the difference between a home playoff game or not. If Allen misses four or more games Trubisky will mean the difference between the playoffs or not. So he is not in the top 10, but he's a lot higher than many think for a guy we hope takes only victory formation snaps. Yes and I can see the keeping only three TEs to make room for an extra OT. Last year they had four including Gilliam.
  12. Almost every year there is a guy that we think is a lock to make the roster and he is let go.
  13. I'd be shocked too. But saying an UDFA on his sixth team can't make an impact is just wrong. Is it likely? No. Was the impact truly meaningful? Who knows. As for UDFA on their sixth team. How about Lorenzo Alexander? Bills were his sixth team. He made second team All-Pro with the Bills.
  14. Who is number 4? Watson? You can make a legit case Wilson is number 2. Can't see how he drops out of top 4.
  15. I disagree. Titans, Chargers, Colts, Dolphins, and maybe even the Pats will all contend for at least a playoff spot. Each of those teams have serious question marks but also have talent. Now do any have a legit Championshop shot I don't know. But the same would have been said of Buffalo last year so I think it is foolish to say only one of those other top 4 will make it. I do agree, I think Steelers will be a 6 win team as Ben falls apart.
  16. Well there is a very good example of the second scenario on the Bills already... Zimmer was an UDFA and is on his 6th team (Bils twcie) including a stint in the CFL. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Zimmer yes
  17. Except Simms has been on the Allen bandwagon since he was drafted so it's not really a hot take.
  18. He was just a bit ahead of his time. He was probably never as quick as Welker or Edelman but he was quick enough to be a nightmare matchup. The coaching staff didn't know what they had, because, let's be honest a 5 ft nothing slot WR was not a thing in the early 90's. And as others said, who are you going to take catches away from? Remember the Bills offense was more about Thurman running than it was about Kelly throwing. No way they were taking a TE off the field for a fifth WR and take away the run threat. Reed did a lot of his damage underneath which and his attempts were not going to be less. In 2021, Reed and Tasker would complement each other just liek Diggs and Beasley do now. Both pairs can go across the middle and Diggs and Reed could run all the routes.
  19. My Top 10 1. Allen 2. Diggs 3. Hyde/Poyer - interchangeable players at the most important spot on McD's defense 4. Bass - many games last year and next will come down to crucial kicks 5. White 6. Williams - hope he does not have a let down year after getting paid 7. Hughes - as always pass rush is key and Hughes is still the best of the unit 8. Morse - this team will only go as far as Allen can throw. Morse is a very good pass blocking center and Feliciano is my surprise camp cut 9. 2nd WR - don't know if it will be Sanders or Davis but if the Bills want to make a SB the #2 WR probably needs 750 yards of receiving 10. Oliver - again pass rush is key Why don't I have Edmunds or Milano? Well my thoughts on Edmunds are clear. Bills win despite him. Bills have proven they can win without Milano. They are better with him and I hope he can play 16 games
  20. As a pass blocker he is truly elite. As a run blocker he is not very good
  21. Stupid and short sighted not to build a dome downtown Shh. This board doesn’t take too kindly to facts
  22. Of course he does. But the government and employers have a right and really an obligation to set workplace rules.
  23. Every workplace is struggling with how to deal with vaccinated vs unvaccinated people. It’s your choice not to get vaccinated. But when did choices stop having consequences?
  24. I like the picture. You don't think if Star had retired they wouldn't have drafted another DT instead of two DEs?
