They passed block well today. They ran left well. A couple of penalties. All in all they did ok today. They weren't playing against a top DL, so who knows.

They gave him an option to leave them in some trailer and getbthem at the end of the game. He just let them throw them out. I don't know much about brass knuckles but these weren't made of brass.

I legit wanted to see if I missed him on the field earlier in the game. I thought he would get a decent amount of snaps at DT. Look at him and compare him to Hughes, Rousseau, Addison, and Epenesa. Basham has a completely different body type. I wanted to see him get more plays to see what he can do. Can't criticize a guy positively or negatively until they let him play.

From what I saw Basham barely saw the field. I think he got a few reps at DE in the fourth quarter. Butler, Phillips, and Oliver took the majority of the DT snaps. Obada and Epenesa were on the field quite a bit. Basham looks stocky (I’m trying to be kind but he looks thick around the waist) and slow. Doesn’t look like a NFL 4-3 DE. Did I miss anything?

He doesn’t make that many plays though. That’s what many of us keep pointing out. Klein made as many great plays today as Edmunds has all year. He is a freakish athlete that lacks instincts. He is playing better this year than last year and the have another year to figure out if they should extend him. No way should Beane sign him long term this off season. They can still franchise him too. Plenty of time to make him truly earn a long term deal.

Davis got more reps after they sat Sanders. Not sure if he got dinged up on that amazing diving catch that was nullified. Or it may have just been veteran rest. Beasley got his targets too. They played more heavy formations with Sweeney, Knox, and Bates but still passed out of those set several times.

I was generally happy with the MetLife experience today. Both the Jets and Bills fans looked to be tailgating in full force before the game. Getting in was reasonable. Took a few more minutes than usual. A guy in front of us was carrying brass knuckles and they made him give them up after a brief conversation. I was in section 237 with my wife. Front row around the 35 yard line. Odd with the wall there. You could see the entire field but hard to see the Bills sideline without leaning forward. Jets fans were cordial. Lots of empty seats. Bills fans looked to be at least 30% maybe more at the start and by mid 3rd quarter it was well over half and probably close to 2/3rds. Is that the norm for a Jets game? On one kickoff touchback in 3rd quarter, Taiwan Jones was gettin the corner fans going and it looked like a sea of blue. Club level food was good. My only real criticism is having only two bathrooms for the whole club level. Getting back to NYC was a nightmare. Took us four attempts before we could get a Lyft driver to figure out where the pickup area was. And then traffic via the Lincoln tunnel was terrible. Went for Indian food at Awadh for dinner. It was excellent.

It did appear Klein rushed the passer more than Edmunds ever does. But some of those plays were just great recognition. Don’t get me wrong he got blocked out of the play a few times too. But he made up for it with tipped passes and some good stops.

Klein played as well as Edmunds ever has today. He may not defend the deep middle as well as Edmunds but Klein does everything else well. This regime will not sit Edmunds because they drafted him, but there was no drop off in play today.

If only you could give Edmunds Kleine's instincts....
