Bills punted 53 times last season. Only 17 were returned. Thats one time per game the gunner even might make a play in the punt game. Neal had 23 tackles all season and only in one game did he have more than two. I dont care if he is the world's best gunner, 17 punt returns can be defensed with another low round draft pick or UDFA. Here is a positive spin. Beane did a great job finding Neal in the past and he did his job well. Awesome. Say thank you and go find the next low round pick to do the same thing.

I agree. I like Wallace but he will be too expensive. Let him walk, get a comp pick, and draft a CB in round 1 or 2.

Highest paid special teams player in NFL is not how you win with the second highest paid QB. What does he do that any UDFA can't do??? He's a gunner that plays some defensive snaps from time to time. Someone posted 140 defensive snaps. That's 9 a game. Again he's a nice little player that you use while he is cheap and then you replace him with another guy just like him late in the draft or as a UDFA.

I want him to understand you can't waste cap space on STs when you have a star QB on a massive contract along with others like White, Edmunds, Oliver, Diggs and others that have been paid or will be paid large dollars. Evolving means go all in to win now. Win now is not wasting cap space on a gunner.

Puke. Another overpay for a guy that plays mostly special teams. Any UDFA can do what he does. He is a decent player that can get a contract like that when you don't have superstars to pay. Beane is not evolving.

Prefer CB in the first round. As someone else posted, if WR then I prefer Olave.

When last I looked the top 3 guards eligiblr for FA are all 30-32 years old. Get one of them on a 3 year deal. That leaves the draft to add youth, speed, and size to the defense.

Agree. He is best TE since Bills were in the AFL. You can't replace him with a rookie. Too many other issues to deal with. And a veteran will not be cheap. He is a top 15 talent that will cost top 5 money to keep. That is just how it works. If he was targeted more he would have top 5 stats. Just like they invested in Taron Johnson you have to extend Knox. Diggs, Knox, Davis, and whoever replaces Beasley this year or next will be your core pass catchers

That's not correct. There is no dead cap hit if you trade him. As for the other posts, I agree he his not going to get the return Adams or Cooper got. But he would easily fetch a 2nd round pick. All that said he isn't going to be traded. Beane and McD will not admit their mistake.

Seattle traded for Jamal Adams. Gave up a ransom for him and then extended him. Teams do this all the time. Usually with an understanding with the player/agent that they will extend them before the trade is made. Dallas with Amari Cooper is another example. I want to rid the Bills of Edmunds and his contract. Klein and a top 100 rookie pick can do what Edmunds has done for the last four years.

Why is it a 1 yr rental? The team at trades for him can extend him or at a minimum tag him for two more years.

Trade all the rest of the picks away for picks in next years draft 10. Restructure Williams, Matakevich

I dont think so. Bills roster is better than Seattle. Trubisky and Marriota are better than Geno Smith.

98% of players only care about the money. Pay them enough and they will play anywhere and for anyone 2% of veterans might factor in the coach or the city

Can you provide any example of what you are suggesting? I cant think of a single scenario where a team was that awful consecutively and made a quick turn around.

Good take. I can see what you are saying. Mayfield battled same shoulder issue that Allen had for a few games last year. Mayfield's was most of the year though. I think both Ryan and Mayfield's ceilings are higher than Cousins but their floors are probably lower than Cousins. So I can see how you would rank Cousins ahead. I understand what you are saying. Rodgers playoff losses are hard to explain. Some terrie coaching cost him some wins too. Does that sound eerily familiar. Marino only made one, Manning only made one with the Colts and won his second trophy as the worst player on the Denver offense. Rivers never made the SB. Romo never did.

I mostly agree but would simplify with each tier having no particular order 1. Mahomes, Rodgers, Allen 2. Herbert, Burrow, Wilson, Jackson 3. Dak, Murray, Watson 4. Carr, Ryan, Murray, Tannehill. Mayfield 5. Cousins, Jones, Garapaolo 6. Too soon to tell - Fields, Lawrence, Wilson, etc 7. Scrubs

He may not even be the best QB in his division let alone the conference. Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, are all better. Jackson is as good or better. I know Jackson is as controversial on this board as Edmunds is but I believe he is an elite talent at QB.

But then you need to sign someone to play RG. So the 6M is spent at least part of it on someone else that may or may not be as good. I'd still advocate for keeping Williams and see if he will take a modest paycut
