Except you are wrong about FO not drafting for immediate need. White (drafted by McD), Edmunds, Oliver, and Rousseau were immediate starters at positions of need. You can only make the argument that Allen was not supposed to start right away but obviously all the moves made by Beane were done to get a QB. So please stop with the BPA stuff. Everything else you stated is correct. Beane needs to hit on a draft pick or two in this draft to help manage the cap and as you said it takes a few years to know the true impact of the player. Oliver has gotten better at a position that is very difficult to play well right away. Edmunds is Edmunds. When Beane drafts a CB he will start day 1 and hopefully he gets better each week.

Devonte Wyatt DT- Could this be our #1 Pick?

1. Beane does not draft BPA 2. After the FA moves, only makes football sense if they trade Oliver Don't see it happening -
Would you still like JA if he was on another team?

Good thread. I appreciate greatness and therefore I would enjoy watching him no matter where he played. -
There is no answer to the OP question other than CB. There is no greater need this year. Even the 5th best CB would be an upgrade over an uncertain Tre and Dane. I would not extend Edmunds and let him walk after this year. But you are not going to find a MLB at #25 that is vastly better than Edmunds. WR and OL are needs. You can make an argument that a guard at #25 should be an upgrade over Bates and even Saffold this year. But both of them are serviceable for 2022. If Brown regressed badly than you can make a case for OT at 25 but they will open the season with Brown at RT and hope he gets a little better in pass protection.

Bills Sign former Titan OT/OG David Quessenberry
Ethan in Cleveland replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems like a good signing. Insurance policy if Brown regresses or they can not find an OT/OG they like in the draft. Likely will end Ford's career in Buffalo. If they can afford it I would keep Ford at least to the end of camp and see what he does with Kromer. But in the end he looks like a bust. Maybe they can get a 6th or 7rth round pick if he looks adequate in training camp/pre-season game. With this signing, I still think they may take an OL in the top four rounds but now I'm thinking they take four of these 5 positions - CB first round and then in no particular order - WR, LB, S, NT. -

Agree. That's insane -
Do you want to draft Breece Hall
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just delete Hall and replace it with RB. The Bills do not need to draft another RB this year. They need starters at CB and Punter from this draft, and depth at WR, OT, OG, S, and LB. If they wanted to get the 1-tech of the future I would be ok with that as well but it is not a need this year. -
Were those your takes last off-season? I agree this off-season's moves seem better than last year's but I didn't have an issue with most of last year's decisions before the season began. Williams played very well at RT in 2020 and I think most thought it was a good move to bring him back. Sanders was second on the team in receiving yards and 3rd in receptions in only 14 games. He also had the second highest YPC at 14.9 - 3 more than Diggs. $6M for 42 receptions is a lot but hardly a terrible deal. Oh my I almost hit Submit Reply before checking myself. The NFL page with the WR stats for Bills in 2021 no longer lists Beasley. Factoring Beasley's numbers, Sanders was 4th in receptions and 3rd in yards but he played 2 fewer games. As for Feliciano, that is as much on McD as it is on Beane. Bates was the better player and it should have been known by the coaching staff before they decided to bring back Feliciano. Ford being a bust is holding back the OL more than the money they spent on Feliciano. 100% agree on Butler and Haack. Butler could have been cut and brought back on vet min salary or just replaced with an UDFA.

While I am skeptical McD will ever win a SB, I agree he is not going anywhere in the next two years. Even if the wheels fell off and the Bills missed the playoffs this year, he likely comes back. McD just has unforgivable losses for me that question if he will ever get a SB win. Peterman starting on the road against the Chargers. Losing to the Patriots at home when the opposing QB throws three times. Not having his team ready to play the season opener against Pittsburgh. The Houston playoff game, and of course the 13 second nightmare. Again, he is not going anywhere this year even if there is locker room turmoil. But if no SB win in the next two years with Allen how could he not be on the hot seat? Almost all other coaches would be.

I guess that is a matter of perspective and of course we will have to see. Saffold should be an upgrade over the starters at guard last year. But your point is well taken at RT. Brown struggled in pass protection. If he gets better they should be ok but that is a question mark. I hope they take an OT that can play OG in the first three rounds. That would give them options if Brown struggles. They really don't have a capable swing tackle on the roster now. I don't see Doyle as a long term option as even a swing tackle. He looked awful last year. But who knows maybe he can get better too.

Agree need to draft a punter. 5th round is where to do it. Late 4th round only if you move your 5th round pick up. Barring a trade down the Bills need all four of their 1-4 round picks on position players - CB, OT, NT, WR assuming they don't trade Edmunds.

Did he actually say that? When? What context? -
Portland has NBA basketball. Puke. Buffalo has football and hockey! We are lucky to have grown up in an area of the country with passion for NFL football and along the way we have witnessed some of the greatest players and greatest moments in NFL history.

Gilmore to colts… Bills WERE interested

How do you know he is or isn't a team first guy? Tredavious White is best player on defense and he is not a captain. How many corners are captains? -

Bills have almost $10 million in cap space available

I'd take Sanders back on a 1yr deal. Add Joe Haden as well. While I'd prefer Gilmore he probably is too expensive
