  1. Wait are they playing 17 games again this year?
  2. New England made the playoffs last year if I recall. Many AFC teams seem better on paper and I would not predict NE making the playoffs this season. But no one thought they would make it last year. Lots of things can happen especially wit ha team that has all the pressure to win now like the Bills. Some teams thrive with that others do not. Bills weren't prepared to beat the Steelers week 1 last season and got outcoached in snow game and KC playoff game. All that said, this team should win 12 games and no doubt one of those 4 losses will be unexpected. Its just how the NFL is year after year.
  3. There is almost zero chance McD loses his job no matter the outcome. Even if they finish out of the playoffs he will get one more year. Let's hope he is better than Bill Cower and Andy Reid and can get the job done sooner rather than later.
  4. I agree. McD has gotten much better but there are times like the New England snow game that he still doesn't trust Allen's arm. But there are many times where he should be conservative too. If you have the great QB, you don't need to be reckless and give the other team easy yards or extra opportunities. Keep making smart decisions, learn from your mistakes, hope the pass rush will be better, run a more balanced offense. Truly hope Josh has 1/3rd as many rush yards this year. It will be a sign the offense is much better.
  5. Except apparently in linebackers…there the Bills go small
  6. Let's hope McD chooses Allen's arm in the wind and snow instead of Araiza's leg.
  7. Good topic. Agree with your top two. 1. McCarthy 1a. Rhule 2. Vrabel 3. Rivera- won't be his fault but defense alone does not win them 8 games. Wentz will need to play very well to keep them from finishing below the Giants 4. Kingsbury - they were terrible down the stretch last season. He has a QB controversy brewing. If LA doesn't get complacent a third place finish in the division is really possible. 5. Carroll - would seem odd to trade away Wilson and then can the coach without a viable option at QB. But as you said age alone probably keeps him on this list
  8. Ravens had best draft but the Chargers are the team to beat to get to the Superbowl. Good thing they are in AFC West and probably win the division with 10 games. Bills can go 12-4 and host AFC Championship. Ravens, Browns, and Bengals will slug it out in the central too. Colts might run away with the South but I'm not convinced Ryan is still any good and he has always choked in the biggest moments. Agree 100%. If they can get through the first month with a rookie and Jackson or a yet to sign FA at CB they will win 12 games easy. Need White at full strength for the playoffs not for September
  9. The team is far from stacked at the OL. But its time to move on. Hopefully this kid can be the AJ Klein role on the cheap this year. Edmunds never leaves the field. I rag on him all the time, but the dude is durable and plays in every defensive alignment. He even lines up outside three or four snaps a game.
  10. This was encouraging to read. I think it reflects the players drafted and not necessarily the fact the OL was not addressed and WR not addressed until the 5th round. Reuter seems to like the 3rd round LB. Hopefully he is a playmaker. We play so much nickel and if Milano gets hurt this kid will need to step up. And as others have said, when they play big nickel he should be better than Neal or the other backup safeties.
  11. I chose B-. They got a starting corner to pair with Tre for several years. Well done even if it cost a 4th round pick. Cook adds a skill set the current RBs do not have. WR was addressed late with a guy that may be a steal. Hated the 3rd round pick. The 6'8" stiff should be comical to watch in camp. Tenuta may be first draft pick to get cut after OTAs. Impressive to draft someone with less skills than Doyle.
  12. They signed Saffold and retained Bates. They added a legit TE#2. Brown was ok at times at RT. I'm with you on the draft though. Taking am undersized LB in the third round is criminal. That should have been an OL.
  13. No one can help you if you think the defense was great last year. I understand you may want more weapons on offense, but you can't preface that by thinking the defense was great and didn't need to be addressed.
  14. I dont think so. This was the weakest QB class in decades.
  15. Unathletic too tall lineman. Barely a camp body. Would have preferred a S or an OG. I wanted an OT out of the top four rounds but gave away a pick and drafted an undersized LB. Oh well. Like I said they got a starting corner. The rest will be fighting for jobs.
  16. You guys are focusing on the wrong team. The Chargers are the Bills biggest obstacle
  17. PS guy that doesn't have the speed for the NFL at CB. Has size though. Maybe convert to safety???
  18. I agree with every point you made. Honeslty thought we should have done more no huddle last year too. Josh is great in no-huddle. Im expecting a huge year from Knox even if that means a few less catches for Diggs.
  19. Just get a punter and trade the rest of the picks away
  20. Agree! Now let's get them in camp and on the field. Draft status means nothing now
  21. Dude I'm positive all the time. I just dont see everything the team or Beane does as great. Every GM has misses and he is no different. He signed a player that quit during the game!! He wasted second round picks on Ford and Epenesa. Those are huge misses. But he got Knox, Davis, Bass too!. I'm consistent or at least I try to be consistent too. Lastly I admit when I'm wrong, which happens rarely around here. I was on the Allen bandwagon before he was drafted. Half this board wanted to draft another QB after year two. I love Knox more so than many on here who complain about his drops. He's the best TE Bills have had since the merger. I've really praised Beane's last two off seasons. I think his free agent moves have been great. I thought getting Milano nad Williams back were great moves. Williams didn't work out but I'm not going to go back and say it was a bad move when I thought it was a good move. I criticized him for not making moves during the season to get the defense more help. Maybe he tried to get Miller. Maybe he didn't. We won't know the whole story. I've agreed with his 5th year option decisions even with Edmunds. I've also been consistent in my doubts McD can get us a trophy. I posted that before the 2021 season as an answer to a thread about the biggest worry going into the season. Those doubts sadly came true in KC. I hate the emphasis on special teams for roster and game day decisions. That said McD has gotten better at being aggressive especially before the half, his players love him, and even his challenges got a little better last year. Beane basically implied that in his press conference
  22. I think you grossly overestimate the importance of WRs. QBs make the WRs better not the other way around. Yes if Diggs or Davis got hurt it would change the offense but it would not cripple it. They will already be a more balanced offense this year with more two TE sets and more play action. Knox is going to be an absolute beast this year. The only issue player wise is the OL. Beane has taken some nice steps here but there are still quite a few variables.
  23. Which one of those guys can call the defense when it matters?
  24. P, OG, S, trade all the rest away for picks next year.
  25. Slept on it and I hate this pick even more
