  1. Agree! Start the best 5. If SVPG is just as good or almost as good as McGovern and McGovern is better than Edwards then it should be SVPG from week 1. Why waste a year. The kid played a ton of snaps at Georgia. He should be plug and play. Dorian Williams - love Milano but he is coming off a bad injury. Would like to see Williams at least split time with Milano early. They need to know if he can play in case they need to part ways with Milano after this year.
  2. High would be one way to put it... They had two young potential HOF players in Gooden and Strawberry that drank and snorted their greatness away.
  3. This was going to be my choice. They had not one but two HOF QBs I don't think it has been mentioned yet. UCLA Basketball under John Wooden. He had Alcindor and Walton. Arguably the two greatest big men in college basketball history.
  4. Healthy aging Von will be vastly more productive than AJE this year.
  5. 100% agree! Guardians are 20 games over 0.500 and this stupid town is talking more about OTAs and a sexual predator's shoulder. Worst trade in NFL history and they just gave the GM an extension.
  6. Hard to really define a back-up any more with all the multiple sets Robb Riddick Kenneth Davis Don Beebe Jerry Butler after the knee injury Wyatt Teller (too soon?) Ryan Bates/Mongo - both were versatile C/G backups Ed Jones/Art Still played opposite Bruce - not sure how often they started vs came in as backups
  7. Only $1.1 M of Hollins salary is guaranteed and $500k of that has already been paid. So only would be another $600K to cut him. I wouldn't call that a lock.
  8. 1. Coleman 2. Shakir 3. Valdez-Scantling 4. Samuel 5. Claypool 6. Shorter They probably will keep 6. They drafted a CB that can be the punt return guy and they have signed several backup LBs that will play teams. Shorter is cheaper and younger than Hollins. Both are just STs guys. If either has to play much WR then it is bad. Isabella would be my 7th guy as a gadget type player.
  9. Wonder what Allen said when he missed Diggs by 5 yards for 90+ yard TD catches against Miami and Pittsburgh in back to back weeks. Really have to wonder if Josh connects on those two passes if the entire narrative is different. Go back and watch the games. Josh was misfiring to Diggs a lot. Diggs played great in the week 17 game against Miami. Water under the bridge now and it's time to move on. That said Diggs' production with Stroud vs Allen's production with his new group of pass catchers will be a closely followed topic early in the season.
  10. Wrigley during the day is great. A true must do experience. At night not so much. Neighborhood is sketchy. Not as bad as where White Sox play but still just not fun place to walk at night. Fenway is just amazing! Probably the best non Bills sports experiences I've ever had. Been there multiple times. Age 2-6 is tough. After that you will be so happy you had them back to back! I too want to get to a LSU night game. My dream is when I am working partime later in life is to ask to intern with the Bills management or coaches unpaid. Do anything from break down film to reviewing contracts. Just really see what it is like day to day. I'm sure it won't happen but when you offer up free labor who knows...
  11. My two boys are 17 months apart too. Now they are 22 and 21
  12. Lambeau in 2018. Bills lost 22-0. It was awful game. Josh was terrible. Must admit I left a bit underwhelmed. Glad I went but not quite the experience I hoped.
  13. As with all things it depends... In general I would not pay big money to a RB. They are probably the most replaceable position in NFL besides guards and non-pass rushing linebackers. In addition there is an ample supply of good enough running backs. The game has changed. Many of us grew up on Thurman Thomas, Faulk, Tomlinson, and James that were elite dual threat running backs. Those guys are now mostly replaced by the superstar TE and slot WRs that create bugger mismatches. Now if you can get both parties to make a sensible deal and it is for a max of 3 years I can see a second contract getting done. The it depends part, really comes down to timing of other guys. There will be several guys off the books in 2025 and next year they have 3 picks in the top 2 rounds to add young bodies. So they can be strategic in who they let walk and who they bring back.
  14. Wow this sucks. To me he was the greatest OG to ever play.
  15. I think that is a fair assessment. And given some quality safeties still available in free agency they could have double dipped on WR in the second round and still addressed safety. Another RB and a future starting C were quality need picks. The S from Utah who probably is best suited to play in the box was one of my least favorite picks. There were good WR options there.
  16. I honestly beleive Torrence has a shot at All-Pro this year. Maybe at least 2nd team. The kid can be special. At one time I said Knox was the most physically talented TE in team history. Bills may have the worst history of TEs since the merger. Not a single ProBowl. Kincaid could change all that if he continues to develop. He will never be a dominant blocker but that doesn't mean he can't be a star. Kelce is at best an average blocker. Gronk was all world in both blocking and receiving. Guys like Graham, Gates, Whitten, and Kittle were never considered elite blockers yet were elite TEs. If Kincaid turns out to be somewhere between Graham and Gates in terms of receptions/TDs he may be the second best draft pick in Beane's career.
  17. Agree with all of this. That said I remember multiple times Rousseau lined up in the middle and even dropped back in coverage. I don't remember Epenesa ever rushing from the middle but I could have missed it. Agree with all of this. That said I remember multiple times Rousseau lined up in the middle and even dropped back in coverage. I don't remember Epenesa ever rushing from the middle but I could have missed it.
  18. Can't really argue with any of that. Age and hope are powerful influences on decision making. Plus the fact you already know him and assuming he is a good locker room guy he probably gets the benefit of doubt. 2026 is a long time from now. You can imagine contracts like Miller, Knox, Dawkins and Milano will probably come off the books by then. Who else do you have to re-sign by then? It will be too early for Kincaid and Torrence. Allen will have gotten a pay raise by then. That leaves the three Bs - Brown, Benford, and Bernard. None of them look like All-pro break the bank contracts as of right now but all hopefully will get extensions. So paying for a decent DE that is still young probably makes sense.
  19. I think you are correct but sadly I think they are wrong. Epenesa is terrible. He has not developed any pass rushing techniques since he has been here. No idea why they brought him back. I know others feel differently on this board. Rousseau I have higher hopes but he has disappointed so far. He has more talent but can't seem to stay healthy and disappears for huge stretches of the season. He did get a nice sack in the Steelers playoff game. And for the record I 100% agree picking up his option. They will regret giving Epenesa a second deal. My guess is they let Rousseau walk after his 5th year. The kid from Troy is intriguing as a pass rush specialist. My guess is the two players that start at DE in 2026 are not on the team right now. Really hope I am wrong about Rousseau. He's only 24. Would be huge if he could be a 10-12 sack a year guy. He's a good all around DE.
  20. First it is Rodgers Second, Rodgers already said what everyone knows, if they don't make the playoffs they are all fired - him, Douglas, and Saleh.
  21. I thought you were old enough to watch the AFL teams? Which cities are you missing? Did you double dip for NYC and triple dip for LA(Rams, Raiders, Chargers)? What about cities like St Louis that had two different teams? And how did you meet that mant women from that many cities? This could he a thread all by itself!!!
  22. Exactly. Doug Pederson is excellent and the Chicago coaches suck.
  23. Born in Tonawanda in 1970 but Grew up in Lockport. So basically I was born into being a fan. First real experience with Bills was 1980. Ferguson, Cribbs, Butler, Lewis, that great defense and the We're Talking Proud song. I didn't understand the futility of the 1970s especially with the Dolphins. At the time college football was still the wishbone which I hated watching and there was no local good college football. So I gravitated towards NFL. Along woth the Bills, I loved the Montana 49ers and the AFC West version of the Seahwaks years before I ever moved west. Even after moving away from western NY the fandom never faded. Tried to get back almost every year for a game and traveled to multiple away games. Now that college football has modernized I enjoy watching college more than most NFL games. And that is not political or anything like that. I just have so little interest in watching bad QB play on terrible teams. So it will always be Bills and Sabres for me. That said if Bills left Buffalo I'd likely just stop watching NFL and get more woodworking done on Sundays.
