  1. During the draft when the Raiders passed on him I posted they should trade up to get Allen or Hockenson. I would still take either player over Oliver, even though Oliver has been ok and steadily getting better.
  2. I honestly thought people were joking about the Buffalo statues outside the stadium. Holy good god. What a joke. Taxpayer money for a platform for drunk morons to jump and get hurt every game.
  3. They could improve at RG, LG, and RT. But at what cost? Would I give a No1 for Quenton Nelson? Yes in a heart beat. I'm not sure there is another guard that would be that much better than what we have. I really don't understand the OBJ talk. At best he would be a big body possession receiver. Who wants or needs that? Beane made the moves in the off-season and White is coming back. This is our team.
  4. Incredibly short sighted not to build a dome. Tenn is now getting one. Indy, Detroit, and Minn all have great domes. Even Chicago is talking about a dome. This stadium will be obsolete before it is even finished and the taxpayers are getting fleeced. Ideally a new governor steps in and renegotiates a better deal. Pegula is far richer than he was only a few years ago.
  5. I don't understand the OP point. Are you saying the fan base should expect the team to go 17-0 and that any other thoughts on the season have no merit? Only one team in NFL history went undefeated and only one other went undefeated in the regular season. Having confidence and being realistic are two different things. It is entirely reasonable to think we have a chance to win every game while also believing they will likely lose another game this season. Believing those two things is not incongruent nor does it mean your are not a true fan.
  6. Rent a car and drive and park. Nothing but frustration will come from Uber to stadium and back.
  7. At the expense of whom? Oliver? Edmunds? Poyer? Morse? Paying a 32 year safety coming off neck surgery $10.8M is difficult. Hamlin costs less than $1M and is under contract through 2024. That $3.8M wont make up all the money you need for Oliver and Edmunds but it helps. Like it or not these are the hard decisions Beane is going to have to make now that Allen's contract balloons. There are several restructures that can be done to open up cap space but there is a limit to the number of moves that can be made.
  8. You are only describing and ignoring half the facts to fit your narrative. Cutting Hyde yes would be a $7M dead cap hit but it would still be a net $3.8M savings from his projected salary.
  9. Good post. Teams cut aging injured good players for cap reasons all the time. Tough decisions are coming up. I don't see Hyde back next year. Whether they would be better with him now is a different question, I think they would. But will they be the same or better off next year without him is a good question to ask. Nothing in practice or garbage time can come close to the real game experience Hamlin and whoever else plays some defensive snaps this year is getting. It is real game tape that McD and Beane can use to judge whether to pay Poyer, cut Hyde, and how to approach the draft and free agency.
  10. Is trading a player on IR even allowed? I’m not aware of any player on IR ever being traded. Does anyone know of such a case?
  11. Buffalo fielded punts at the opponent 31 and 39 yard line. I don't think I have ever seen that in any game and it happened twice here. It happened going in opposite directions on the filed. Insane.
  12. Replay looked like most of the defense was in zone not man. Linebackers dropped into zone. I only saw one corner running wit ha WR across the field. That corner vacated his zone and left the WR wide open. I think Aikman misinterpreted that. What did you all see?
  13. Dear lord most of the NFL is unwatchable. Joe Buck is terrible. Aikman should say what he is really thinking. These QBs suck. Buck and Aikman had the game of the week with Fox and now they get this garbage.
  14. QB - Allen WR - Diggs, Chase, Adams - There are so many good receivers in the AFC - you could probably go 8 deep and still get a Pro Bowl talent TE - Kelce - he may be the best to ever play the game RB - Chubb C - Humphrey OT - Slater, Dawkins - For as many good receivers the AFC has the OT talent pool is not that great OG - Nelson, Bitonio
  15. Penalty - too many men on the field....
  16. Cinci is playing better as of late. When their offense is clicking they can be dangerous. I like our chances of our DL against their O-line. If we play a 2 deep shell and don't get beat deep by their speed guys, Bills should be able to get to Burrow.
  17. I agree, but do that actually flex teams out of a previously scheduled game? Ultra competitive might be a stretch. But I agree there is talent on the Jets and Miami. How much talent does New England really have?
  18. Honest question, do they flex teams off the Sunday night schedule? I thought they just leave the last few Sunday night games unscheduled and then flex teams into the schedule a few weeks before.
  19. LOL. So when Bills beat bad QBs last year the Bills were good, but when Jets beat bad QB's this year they still stink... Got it Just giving you a hard time. I agree they are not as good as their record. Pre-season I had the first Jets game as my prediction for a trap game. I'm not saying the Bills will lose, but I still worry if the Bills handle the Packers and Rodgers, they could be up for a let down the following week. It will be the Jets SuperBowl playing Allen and the Bills at home.
  20. Ok that isn't even close to accurate. Rodgers cap hit is only $28 M this year. Here is a fun fact. Allen's cap hit is $39M next year and $41M the year after. Both those numbers are higher than Rodgers cap hits of $31M and $40M respectively.
  21. Only KC has lived up to preseason hype so far. The home field advantage now will be determined if the Bills can go 5-1 inthe division the rest of the way.
  22. Perhaps because it is illegal. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/2017/3/28/15066542/nfl-rule-prevent-team-burning-clock-repeated-intentional-penalties
  23. We will never know how much of this defense is Frazier and how much of it is McD. Frazier calls the plays 99% of the time. But we don't know how much McD inserts his influence during the week and during the game. It's not like Eric Bienemy where Reid is still calling the plays, but there is still some doubt the true role Leslie plays. I'm sure insiders know more than we do as fans when it comes time for HC interviews. I think he would be a good fit in Green Bay. A veteran HC that can improve the defense would probably work well with Rodgers
  24. I've posted this story before. My greatest memory of a Bills game experience was at the Bills Jets 1988 AFC East clinching OT game. I was there with my brother and pulled out of the stands before the game to hold cameras for Sports Illustrated. We were on the field the entire game. Leonard Smith walked right past me after the ejection. My brother is in the Buffalo News goal post picture and I'm pretty sure so is my white hat (can't see the rest of me). I was at Bills Broncos game where Biscuit debuted. Third play of his career he lined up behind Bruce. Elway saw it pre-snap and called timeout. A few other great memories are the Bills Raiders coldest game in franchise history with my three bothers as well as last season's Bills Pats playoff game with my second son. I was there for the two coldest games in franchise history. Marino TD streak ends was a great game too. The crowd went nuts when Strock started warming up. I was also at a Bills Browns Monday night game in Cleveland during medical school. I met Al Damato the sitting US Senator after the game.
