Raiders release Jonathan Abram does anyone need a safety
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
You nailed it -
Its more personnel groupings than it is him coming out. After the big catch on first play of game they went with a heavy formation next play. I'm not saying that is good. I personally don't think Kumerow should even be on the roster let alone on the field on offense. But that is what they are doing.

You make good points. I think the counter argument is that Allen makes up for many of the deficiencies of the OL. Brown has been at best up and down. Bates seems ok but he is not great. I advocated for matching his offer from the Bears and I'm still fine with that decision. Morse is good enough. Also last year they had Sanders and Beasley. So the offense has seen a fair amount of turnover since last season. My biggest issue with the offense is that Knox should be getting 10 targets a game like Kelce. Davis should be the third option not the second.

Terrel Bernard was absolutely abused yesterday
Ethan in Cleveland replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dodson sucks too so they probably wanted to see what the rookie could do. Neither of them are good linebackers. They should have kept Klein and that is not revisionist history. I said it at the time he was not brought back. Instead they have useless Matakevich taking up a roster spot. -
I was opposed to the Oliver pick during the draft. He will likely never live up to his draft status. He appeared to be slowly getting better each year. I 100% agree with picking up his option. You control him for another year and delays the decision to commit to him for another year. They can walk away after 2023 with no cap hit. Im not even sure he is above average. If he wants to sign an extension that pays him like a 20-25th starting DT in the league that would be fine. It would be relatively low risk overpay and at least you know what you are getting. Beane needs to draft offense round 1-3.

Bills fans take over Met Life Stadium
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was there. Section 217. It must be demoralizing to a fan base to see half their stadium with the opponent's colors and logo. Even worse to hear the crowd chant MVP for the opposing QB. -
The worst head coaches in NFL currently…
Ethan in Cleveland replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall
1. Nate Hackett 2. Josh McDaniels 3. Matt LaFleur 4. Mike McCarthy 5. Kliff Kingsbury 6. Kevin Stefanski Honorable mentions of course : Reich and Rhule -
That's like saying Bienemy is outstanding with KC. Nobody really knows. Doug Pederson was calling plays is my understanding
-
Close your eyes and imagine Frank Reich was not some sort of bizzare Buffalo legend. If he was Tom Smith, you would not want any part of him near Allen or this franchise.

Bills got the benefit of a late game PI against the Rams a coupe years back in Buffalo. I am fine with the Davis incompletion being a no call. The defender go there a little early but Davis was slowing and coming back to the ball too. If Davis slows more and gets run over I think they would have called it. The Bucs PI was more blatant. He got there early, hooked and turned the WR.

Who has been the biggest disappointment?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sadly there are no good therapies for PTSD. You just need to work through your demons. We have the best QB this franchise has ever had. I have my doubts about the coaching staff as I have documented for several years, but the organization is as good as it has ever been. I don't think Beane is the genius people say he is, but he is probably better than average. And better than average with a league MVP candidate QB is good enough to win the SB. -
Who has been the biggest disappointment?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
Biggest disappointment - The fan base. People are freaking out and the team is 6-2 still in the AFC lead. Have some courage. It's a long season. -
I predicted the Jets loss before the season started but I thought the best they would be at this point is 5-3. The final season win/loss total is difficult to predict as you never know if they play the starters the final week. Given they are 6-2 now, I will go with 13-4 final season results. I'm still sticking with my preseason pick of the Chargers and Bills in the AFC Championship game in Buffalo, though Chargers will be a WC not a division winner. Bills win SuperBowl over 49ers.

This topic is silly. Outside of the franchise QBs, every player in the NFL can be replaced. Ask Vegas, they don't move the line for any injury except to the QB.

Why oh why are we not establishing a running game ?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did you watch the game? They played a tone of single high safety today with one of the safeties in the box. -
Edmunds is regressing Milano and Poyer were out Bernard should never have been drafted. He's tiny and not fast Bills overusing roster spots on special teams guys cuts down on young LBs to develop None of this matters if our MVP QB doesn't play his worst game in three years. Two red-zone INT's is inexcusable at his level. The Jets dropped a third INT. They were not tipped balls. They were just awful throws. But you need not overthink this. Josh is playing poorly and has really been careless with the football all year. He makes up for it by making run and pass plays all over the field. It's hard to tell him not to throw back across the filed when he has done it many times for big gains or scores. He just needs to be a bit more careful with the ball.

The blueprint is in, Buffalo has been figured out
Ethan in Cleveland replied to DallasBillsFan1's topic in The Stadium Wall
This loss was 100% on Josh. He is great but today he was terrible. End of story.
