NFL Week #10 - Vikings at Bills - 1st half game thread
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Johnson sucks. He stopped running with Hockenson -
When does the fan base start to turn on White? This is getting a little ridiculous. He has not been listed as injured for two straight weeks. One of the starting corners is out and White is not active for the game. He has had several weeks to get in shape. My Spidey sense tells me there is something more to this story.

Should the Bills re-sign Ed Oliver?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nope. Hated the pick when it was made and though he has been an OK at best starter, I see no reason to give him a second contract. Let someone else pay him and get a comp pick. They control him for another year. Make him play out his 5th year option and then say good bye. -
That is part of it. But that goes to play design. You don't need your TE to pass block if you are getting the ball out quick. He's too much of a receiving threat to keep in to block.

Knox should be getting 10 targets a game. Dorsey is underutilizing him terribly

For the people asking what's taking White so long...
Ethan in Cleveland replied to HardyBoy's topic in The Stadium Wall
A setback is pure speculation. But I believe he showed up to camp did some work on the side for a few days and then disappeared for several weeks. Of course he could have been doing exaclty what the medical staff wanted him to do and we just don't know it. But him showing up to camp and then going unseen is probably fueling the speculation. -
Didn't see this discussed elsewhere. Who do you think will start Sunday, Brown or Q? Who should start? Maybe split reps for a game or two? I'd play Brown. They need to know if he can be the RT moving forward or not.

What if it is not the Bills holding him back and it is him? He almost sat out because of Covid. He was slow to come back when he was injured and missed the Tennessee road game. That was the COVID Tuesday nonsense game. There was speculation he could have played but didn't want to because of the COVID issues the Titans were having. We are speculating it is the team that is bringing him back slowly. What if he is not really committed to coming back? He has got his second contract signing bonus and he gets paid whether he plays or not. The longer he goes without playing the weirder this situation gets. -
Using Josh situationally while his elbow is <100%
Ethan in Cleveland replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he can play he starts and plays all the plays. If he can't then he sits. Pretty simple. You don't bring your injured franchise QB off the bench to run a QB sneak or end around. -
I understand what the OP is trying to say. I would rethink it this way. Regardless of JA injury, the offense would be better and more sustainable if Dorsey found a way to get a complimentary rushing attack and involve Knox and the other receivers not named Diggs more. That can and should happen regardless if Josh can play or not.

Might be a bit extreme but I agree with your premise in general

Colts with Manning maybe a little especially at home. But I dont think anyone feared Dungy as an opposing coach the way they would Belichick. Packers were a good team but I don't think any team felt they were unbeatable. Especially since Favre turned the ball over so much. Do you think anyone fears being outcoached by McDermott and company? I think they fear Allen being unstoppable at times, but know the Bills from time to time play down to their opponent.
-
I think you are misinterpreting the situation. I think the Patriots with Brady were the anomaly. They were feared by everyone. The Chiefs with Mahomes for a brief period probably got close to them and of course the 85 Bears for that season Otherwise I don't think any NFL team fears any other team. They all know that on any given Sunday they can all win or lose.

Did the Jets Have a Competitive Advantage?

Has anyone verified that this actually happens or is it just urban legend? Honestly what does a guy like this know that the opposing coaches don't already know from film study?
