It was poor play calling. It should have been a QB sweep on 3rd down to the right. His elbow is to the sideline. Allen gets the first down 90% of the time.

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills
Ethan in Cleveland replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who else would you have signed in off-season? I think all those moves are decent low risk contracts. White ripping up his knee forced them to draft CB. If White is healthy they probably let Bates walk and draft OT/OG first round. Beane made the correct off-season moves. Allen has to play better, Doresy needs to diversify the offense, and they need to get healthy. -
Allen's decision making has been reckless all year. He has had at least four other INTs dropped. I posted elsewhere he is playing every snap like it is KC with 30 seconds to play. He needs to quit the hero crap and start playing smart. He is taking way too many hits. If Josh plays smart there is no need for a 40 second drive that was amazing to tie the game (even with a blown dropped pass call). Bills should have won going away with Keenum mopping up most of the fourth quarter. On to Cleveland....

The Bills lost yesterday because… (karma reasons only)
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
I posted Allen was having his signature MVP performance in the first half.... And then he fumbles the game and possibly (not likely) the season away... -
They have been hit with a ton of injuries which is out of their control. They have made a ton of mistakes in coaching and execution. That can be corrected. Only Hyde is lost for the year. Get healthy and clean up the mistakes and they can still dominate. Good test for McD to see if he can guide them through this. I suspect he can. He's not my my choice for a HC but he seems to get the team to rally. Sooner or later if they keep coming up short a change will need to be made. If Allen is playing the injury excuse only buys him so much. They have not been that banged up on Offense and the last few weeks have been middling at best. Allen needs to stop the hero ball and play under more control. Every game is not like KC where they have to score every drive. Punts and FGs are better than turnovers.

What accounts? He showed up at training camp and then was MIA for weeks on the PUP list. No one knows what he was doing during his rehab. What we know is he was taken off the PUP at the last possible moment and he has practiced for two weeks without a red jersey and not listed on any injury report. What we do know is this regime under reports injuries - remember Hughes' wrist. So it is possible they are just not listing Tre as questionable each week. As to your psychological thing, nothing but real game speed will address that. There are only 3 possibilities A. Tre is still hurt and had a setback B. The coaching staff is criminally stupid for keeping a healthy Tre off the field in favor of Cam Lewis C. Tre is healthy but has told the staff he isn't ready to play which is a massive team chemistry and long term franchise fit issue I and no one else has any insight into it more than that

Go back and watch the play. Davis barely touched Allen's behind and certainly didn't move him out of the way.

Wawrow hints an Internal Issues with the Bills
Ethan in Cleveland replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
The players know they area at a disadvantage with this coaching staff. They know McD cost them a SB last year. Now they are baby sitting Tre back when Allen is playing with a bad elbow. Why is Tre getting special treatment, when Poyer is playing with a bad elbow and a collapsed lung on an expiring contract? -
I'd prefer Lincoln Riley or Jim Harbaugh but would be fine with Payton.

They did motion Davis behind Allen to push him forward

What coach plus Allen would be the most successful?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is almost no chance they move on from McD. That said, I would replace him in a heart beat if I could get Sean Payton, Jim Harbaugh, or Lincoln Riley McD doesn't get to take Allen with him -
Cmon Alpha, I love Josh too, but he is playing really poorly at times right now. He's been pretty reckless with the ball all year. There is no excuse for the goalline fumble and the INTs these past two weeks. Just brutal mistakes in the red zone no less. Without Josh we do not stand a chance. However, he lost today's game and was not good last week.

The defense sucked....again
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Bermuda Triangle's topic in The Stadium Wall
The defense is missing White, Hyde, Poyer, Elam, Rousseau and now Edmunds. That is over half the starters. I'm not saying the defense is great, but they at least have an excuse. There is no excuse for how poorly Allen is playing. A fumbled snap on the goal line??? That is high school level nonsense. He has been reckless with the ball all year.- 306 replies

Bills Players with Big $$$$ Contracts
Ethan in Cleveland replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall
White is getting paid a ton of money to watch football games. Inexcusable he is not playing when he goes two weeks of full practice. There is more to this story besides the coaches being cautious with his return. Allen is gutting it out with a bad elbow, Milano with an oblique, Poyer played with a collapsed lung all while White sits and watches. Its total BS. Guys come back from Achilles tears faster than this. -
Josh Allen leads NFL in interceptions
Ethan in Cleveland replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. He threw that inexcusable pick in the red zone on the first drive against the Jets -
Not a new comparison. Many of us have said the same thing for a few years now. McD has evolved in some areas such as going for it on fourth down and being aggressive before the end of the half. He has failed to evolve in other areas. Challenges remain poor. But worst of all he trusts his Coordinators too much. Dorsey lost his mind in the second half completely abandoning the run. Where was McD to tell him to keep the offense balanced? Why is he not talking to Josh to stop this hero ball non-sense? Belichick had no problem giving Brady an earful when needed. McDermott is not going anywhere. So all we can do is hope the players overcome him like Manning did with Dungy.

McD sucks but Allen dropped the freaking snap. Just can't happen.
