White, Edmunds and Rousseau - OUT
Ethan in Cleveland replied to DasNootz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Um if that is the case then he won't be on the team next year. Or he will be playing safety. They aren't going to continue to pay him if he is medically cleared but just doesn't want to play. -
White, Edmunds and Rousseau - OUT
Ethan in Cleveland replied to DasNootz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't call Jackson pedestrian. He has played well. And the rookies have more than held their own. That said there is no excuse for Cam Lewis being on the field for 4th and 18. My guess is somewhere along the way he was told or he told them he is not coming back for a full year. There is no medical reason to have such an arbitrary time line so they just don't say anything. -
Really hoping they give Basham or Lawson the start at DE. Epenesa is terrible in run and pass defense. No idea other than his draft status why he is starting with Rousseau out.

White, Edmunds and Rousseau - OUT

Johnson is strong against the run. He makes TFL from time to time. 100% agree though and I too would like to see some creative 5-2 and 4-3 alignments. -
White, Edmunds and Rousseau - OUT
Ethan in Cleveland replied to DasNootz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think why people are confused is he has been practicing for several weeks now and not on the injury report. So your second sentence doesn't resonate. In the past guys would sit out all of training camp and show up and play in a week. If he is practicing he can play. That only leaves two possibilities. He doesn't want to play or the team has a predefined timeline and they are holding him out. My guess it is the team but stranger things have happened when guys get their second signing bonus. White doesn't seem like a guy that would not give effort but I suspect the Bills thought the same thing about Dareus and Washington did about Haynesworth. -
He would be better backup than Boettger and Van Roten. If they released Van Roten I guess Bates would be backup center. Not going to happen

Bills claim AJ Klein off waivers- Kumerow to IR
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nice. They should have kept him over Matakevich. Kumerow should have never been on the roster either. With only 4 WR, maybe all three TEs will be active and Sweeney plays the Kumerow role. While Hines gets some snaps in the slot. -

Deadline to announce move to Detroit ??????????????
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall
Way too expensive. Just build a dome -
Why did they not bring back Klein and keep useless Matakevich?

Groot has a high ankle. He will be lucky to return by mid December Edmunds is a groin so probably has little chance of playing Poyer with an elbow is the biggest unknown. Have to wonder if it was the playoffs does he play with a brace or something to protect it. I'd probably take my chances and keep Poyer out until after Thanksgiving game. If they can't beat Cleveland at home and Detroit on the road without him we grossly ovestimated the rest of the roster and the season is lost anyways. They need him for a playoff run even more than they need White back

The game clock was already stopped. The play clock resets. As for a delay of game, the only reason to do that is to try and get them to jump Offside before the play clock hits zero. As others pointed out, half the distance at that point is 3 inches.

Allen's final throw, bad decision or bad pass?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's been reckless with the ball all year. It's not just the last few games. He has streaks of being the best QB in the league by far and then puts the ball in harms way seemingly out of nowhere. He's been especially careless inside the 20's which kills you either way. This is worse than his fumbling earlier in his career, but just as he cleaned that up, I suspect he will clean up the INTs too. He just needs a couple of 225 yard 1 TD 0 INT games. Less hero ball. -
Highest graded defenders for Week 10 (Look who's 1st)
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Gambit's topic in The Stadium Wall
He dropped two Interceptions. He at least got to the spot to make a pass break up but he had both balls hit his hands. These were not last second reactions. He had a clean shot at the INT both times and failed. -
They should have kept Hughes and cut Epenesa. Epenesa, Ford, and Moss are massive busts. A three man DE rotation of Hughes, Miller, and Rousseau each getting about 40-50% of the snaps and Lawson/Basham getting the remainder would have been perfect.

Friday?

Don't beat ourselves. In every loss it has been injuries and self inflicted wounds. Stop playing hero ball. Short quick passes to limit their pass rush. Knox should get 10 targets minimum. Play a 4-3 defense or hell even a 5-2 from time to time. Amari Cooper and Jacoby Brissett are not beating the Bills in 20 inches of snow.

But they dont... lots of football to be played. Bills can put 4 losses on the AFC East opponents in the coming weeks.

Allen's final throw, bad decision or bad pass?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was a horrible decision. They took the TD shot on first down. Second down should have been to get the first down. After the decision to go to Davis it was a horrible throw. It was behind and short. The only way yo complete that pass is high arcing pass that Davis catches at the back boundary. Its a throw Allen can make and has in the past. Now if Davis ran the wrong route or incorrectly adjusted his route and he was supposed to check up at the 3 yard line in front of the defender, then maybe the throw was where it was supposed to go. In that case it is still a horrible decision to go to Davis as there were better options. -
Uh it was the franchise QB that dropped the ball. You going to fire him?? Don't think so. It was a fine snap. He just dropped it. He's 6'5" and honestly looks awkward takings snaps under center. Maybe they should be in shotgun the whole game.

League should do an in-season rule change and stop this non-sense. It's not even fair to the defense. Hell you could call it QB safety/protection and say he is down at the spot he is pushed from behind.

Fumbles are mostly random and not a predictor of success. INTs are a product of pass rush and coverage and are a predictor of win/loss.

Question re: hypothetical scenario from Vikings game
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
That makes no sense. Singletary did it twice in the first half I agree one more second and they try a fade
