Receiver Options For the Remainder of the Season?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just wait for Crowder to come back. As they enter the playoffs these bottom of the roster guys mean less and less. Diggs, Davis, and Knox will get 80% of the targets. Maybe 10-15% to the running backs. That leaves a few scraps for McKenzie and Shakir. They are fine at WR and don't need OBJ. -
Deon “Primetime” Sanders to Colorado
Ethan in Cleveland replied to djp14150's topic in College Football
I think all programs have there up and downs. Remember Alabama was once coached by David Shula. USC hit tock bottom just recently. Tennessee has been a bottom feeder for a decade. Ohio State with Earl Bruce underperformed. Boston College used to be good. Oregon before Phil Knight poured a billion dollars into the school was a Pac 10 afterthought. Utah has built a really good program while BYU is now down. Not saying Colorado can turn it around, but it usually takes a dynamic recruiter, possibly money under the table( before NIL), and a few star players to get some name recognition with the kids. -
Carolina is a dumpster fire. Mayfield asked to be released to go to better organization.

Chiefs at Denver and at Vegas could be hard games. Last game of the year may be a playoff spot for Raiders who are playing better. They have a run game and dominant WR that can keep Mahommes and Kelce off the field. Raiders also have decent pass rush. I think KC drops one more game and the real fight for #1 seed is with the Bengals

Aren't most Denver losses close losses? I think all but two of their games - wins and losses are 1 score games many 3 points or fewer including this past weekend. Maybe this is the week Denver O finds itself. KC defense is not that great. It's in Denver. KC coming off a loss makes it harder but it could be an upset of the week.

Agreed. And Seattle has one of the worst trades ever when they gave up two first rounders for Adams.

Isn't it odd that the Rams pick that the Lions have will be higher that Detroit's own pick. Not many would have guessed that coming off a SB win.

Good day for Buffalo! Take care of business the next two weeks and then see what happens down the stretch.

The "ball did not survive the ground" rule
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Repulsif's topic in The Stadium Wall
He lost control of the ball while he was out of bounds going to the ground. Its been the rule for several years now and a pretty easy call. Like others said the ball never hit the ground so if his body was still in bounds its a catch. Not even close to the correct interpretation of the play. He made no football move. He didn't survive the ground. No catch. Easy call. -
Poll: Which 2023 free agent do you want to keep on the roster?

Sign Edmunds to a top 3 contract and find a way to keep Poyer. Use the draft for OL and WR. -
Edmunds Haters eat some crow.....
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Kwai San's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. He had a very good 8-10 game stretch at the end of 2019. He deserved the ProBowl in 2019. He injured his shoulder in early 2020 and I think that really set him back more than we know. He was not the same player in 2020 and 2021. -

Two things can be true. He played poorly for the better half of two seasons in 2020 and 2021. He was not making the negative plays that Milano was. Almost everyone on here agreed that picking up his extension was the right thing to do as did I. Most on here wanted to see more explosive plays and more game changing plays. He's had more of those this year but still not as many as Milano. The issue was and still is how much do you pay him. He will want to be top 3 if not highest paid MLB in the league. If he continues to play at this level the rest of the season Beane should pay him. The cap will go up. Oliver and Davis are not due for more money yet, though dais may ask for a contract extension/pay raise. Signing Edmunds means you probably lose Poyer and/or Hyde. Maybe not if you do some contract work with Allen and Miller. If I'm Beane I pay him because they need the draft pick to add to the OL and WR group and address the safety position. The opportunity cost of losing him is too great at this point.
