No way am I drafting a QB this small.

Your one, and only one, draft hot take?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
The more I look at these QBs, I think Richardson will be the best of the whole group. Not sure Stroud can read a defense. Ohio state offense is dumbed down for the QB. That is why do many OSU QBs struggle. Young is just too small. He will get broken just like Tua and Murray. -
Your Final Bills Mock Draft
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane lies about everything And he had better get two year one season opener starters out of this draft. They have massive hole at MLB, Edge until Miller comes back, and WR. Plus open competition for RT. -
Hmm, I guess I wouldn't call winning 66% of the division games a near sweep but OK. I get your premise though. 3-3 in the division makes it tough but remember all these improved teams play each other as well. It's likely no AFC East teams does better than 4-2. In which case the division may be up for grabs until the last week, with tie breakers in play. My guess is if the BIlls go 4-2 as they did last season with a split against the Jets and Miami they will be fine. If they go 4-2 but lose two games to the Jets that may be enough to knock them out of the division title.

He wasn't solid as a rookie. He was terribly inconsistent just as he was in 2022. The issue/excuse people cite is his back surgery and little off-season to train while recovering. At best Brown is a massive question mark for 2023. If he can play better he is a cheap starter, that seems capable in the run game and a liability in pass protection that Allen can at least see coming. I truly hope OT is taken in the first three rounds. That all said, I'm equally worried about Dawkins. He regressed terribly last year. If they take a capable LT in the first round I would not be shocked to see Dawkins gone in 2024. Or moved to LG in 2024 with the McGovern guy or Bates maybe moving to Center if Morse retires.

I did the Bills Backers club in Columbus Ohio from 1992 to 2000. It was a good experience. I dont drink but the food was good. Not sure if it is still there. It was more restaurant than bar. The Bills Backers club in Portland is a small bar with no real food and no kids allowed. Walked in once and walked out. Terrible venue. Sunday ticket and my 60 in screen is the only way I'm watching a game that I dont attend.

Oh that would be awful.

All great suggestions ! Art museum is world class and I've been multiple times already. They have a couple of amazing Renoir pieces in their regular collection. Same thing with the Orchestra. Truly world class West Side Market was a bit of a disappointment but went in Oct. Hopefully wi;l be better this summer

Here is a non-draft thread to chat about anything else... As many now, I spent the last 20 years in Portland without a local NFL team. In some respect that was a blessing, because the local sports stations when not covering the Ducks or Blazers, talked about all the NFL teams. Portland has a love hate relationship with Seattle so the Mariners and Seahawks don't get preferential treatment there. They routinely had interviews with local media from all the markets especially if there was a big matchup ahead. Now that I am here in Cleveland it is awful. Even when the Guardians and Cavs are winning, all they talk about is Browns football. I assumed homer coverage but didn't think it would be this bad. They don't even do simple segments like around the NFL or top 5 stories of the day. When the Sunday Ticket YouTube thing was announced last week, the local radio hosts were stunned anyone would want to buy it because they can see all the Browns games for free. Several callers actually called in and said, hey you know there are lots of people in Cleveland that are fans from other teams. Yet virtually no other NFL coverage. I've not listened to local Buffalo radio since 1988. I'm wondering what it is like in Buffalo. And for others on this board that live outside of WNY, what is your experience like?

100% agree. One of the worst in the US Most Bills fans I saw on one plane was flying into Jacksonville for the playoff game. It sure felt like 70% Bills gear on the plane and in the airport. And that was a connection via Charlotte.

Three years ago the fifth year guarantee was important. Now the priority is adding multiple players on cheap contracts. The SuperBowl window for this front office will be closed if they don't win in the next few years. They need multiple contributors on the cheap now. Trade back 10 spots and you likely net a high 3rd round pick. That gives you four picks in the top 100 with another 4 in the top 100 next year with the Edmunds comp pick.

Rumor: Derrick Henry to the eagles???
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
They would be crazy to trade for Henry. They have two first round picks. They are at 10 and if the predicted run on QBs happens they can be looking at a top 5 defender or OT at 10. Better yet they can trade down 5 spots get another 1st rounder next year and still get Robinson. -
I'd bring in 3 DTs and 3 or 4 edge guys. Hope one of them pans out. I dont think they are going to draft a TE so I would sign one or two, preferably with that former basketball player history. Sign a punter and kicker to handle camp kicks to keep our guys fresh.

4 Detroit Lions suspended for gambling violations
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol....careful with the glass houses Bruce Smith arguably the best player in Bills history was suspended for cocaine use. Bills signed PED cheat Trent Murphy And last but not least drafting a rapist punter. Every organization has their warts -

Ethan in Cleveland replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
It may seem ridiculous but it assuredly was negotiated with the NFLPA. So they know the rule. What is ridiculous is why they can't place their wager off grounds. Its not like they don't have plenty of time. Dount these guys are working two jobs. Follow the dam rules -

Apparently not on NFL grounds but in the privacy of their own home or a casino yes they can -

Gambling on NFL games vs gambling on non-NFL games but at their NFL facility -
Sean McDermott excited about calling the Defense
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think what he means is the the Chiefs OC installs the game plan and meets with the offense during the week. While Reid calls the plays he has an OC to help design game plan and install it during the week. McDermott doesn't have a DC. But I would say it is safe to assume the guy that was brought in as a special assistant for defense will do that. Im too lazy to look up his name. And he will be the guy on the sideline talking to the players about what they are seeing and any ingame adjustments. -
Lol, Beane is such a liar. Just two days ago I his press conference he,said he want going to work on any extensions until training camp. Great job locking up a solid PK.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Close. What's worse is fans believing anything our GM says and taking it as the gospel. He lies all the time and fans just eat it up. A PC 10 days before the draft and people think what he is saying has any component of truth is laughable.
