  1. Edge is the biggest need. I like Lawson but he is putrid as a pass rusher. Rousseau looked good opposite Miller until both got hurt. He didn’t play well after the injury. He needs a big year. I have no hopes for Basham and Epenesa. They are as bad as the Ford pick. Maybe one of these backup LBs can pass rush from time to time. Maybe they kick Oliver to end for a few snaps a game. Maybe Miller shows up and is ready to go and we all still question what the hell happened with White last year.
  2. Basham, Epenesa, Morse, and Oliver are gone after this season. Davis most likely too unless he really balls out and Diggs becomes a distraction. White is my cap casualty for 2024. They didn't extend him so they can move on from him next year as a post June 1 cut. Elam and Benford are cheaper options. Make or break has to be Brown. If he plays well he can be RT for several years. That allows them to draft Dawkins replacement next season. If Brown doesn't get any better they will really be hurting at OT in 2024. Its not about failure. Its about pretending to be GM and predicting what you or Beane might do in the future
  3. Nope. He had one good half of football otherwise he was terrible. Correct about defense and Woods. The offense was better with Brissett.
  4. They had consistent play with Brissett. Stefanski is a moron. Their DC last year was even worse. Watson was awful. Offseason addressed many issues. But HC and QB are the same. Stefanski will be first HC fired on Nov 20th after a home loss to Pittsburgh.
  5. I'd take Lee Smith over Ertz, Morris, or Gilliam. He's a better blocker than all three of them. If you paid attention you would know that Kincaid is not a TE. He is a tall slot WR. He will never be the #1 line up next to the tackle TE.
  6. 1. Oline was bad so you can get home with rushing 4 or less 2. Josh has proven he is a blitz killer so it makes sense to drop 7 in coverage. 3. Every good defense we have seen for more than a decade now is predicated on getting pressure with the front four. McD is no different. The truly great defenses can rush four from odd formations to confuse and create matchup issues
  7. Probably more like 60 40 Bills. That's what it was for the Peterman game
  8. This looks about as good as you could hope for Late bye At Miami in Jan Rodgers on the road week 1 Extra rest before Cincinnati and KC On paper a bit easier earlier while they work the new guys in
  9. I predicted Jet Bills week one but I thought NFL would give us a break and schedule in Buffalo. Its a good MNF game for national interest.
  10. Terrible OL in Seattle and terrible HC like one of the worst ever in Denver. But you may be right he could be shot too.
  11. Watson is absolutely awful. He had multiple weeks to prepare and was truly terrible in his 6 weeks of action last season. Will go down as the single worst GM decision in NFL history. Far worse than any draft pick bust or other lopsided trade. They knew about the allegations and still gave away multiple years of draft picks and signed him to the single worst contract in NFL history. NFL is likely blackballing the Browns from PrimeTime games to avoid the public backlash.
  12. Same could be said of the Bills. They have a superstar QB and a coaching staff that cost them a SuperBowl. Obviously Bills have accomplished more but the Bills were in an easier division. I've posted before, that Bills may only win 11 games and still be a better team than 13-3 2022 team.
  13. Chargers are SB contenders. Denver with Payton is a solid team that in any other division would be a solid playoff team. Wilson should be better and they should be in the hunt right tip until the end especially with a fourth place schedule.
  14. Agree. Ankle is no excuse. What's odd is he makes some really difficult sideline catches and then misses a few easy ones. Hopefully he cleans that up this year Still doubt they can afford him. Four years of decent production on a cheap contract followed by a decent comp pick is good value.
  15. Wish him well. In the end he's a punter so Bills made the right decision to quickly cut ties
  16. Don't understand the Davis hate on this board. 7TD and 17.5 YPC for almost 850 yards. I get the drops are an issue but how much more do you want our of a #2 WR?
  17. I agree with top 10 teams but I would probably have Seattle closer to 5th but still top 10. I would put Buffalo at 11 just ahead of the Jets. Diggs is still elite and Davis is very very good. I would put Jets at 12. I would bump Cleveland up to 16. Cooper is not elite but Peoples-Jones is very good. Pittsburgh would be next. Jags and Baltimore seem high to me but looks like others on the board like the Jags
  18. Well we agree on one thing. Message board threads on imaginary non events are most assuredly lacking in substance.
  19. Im going to assume you watched the Chiefs playoff game. You don't think a healthy Von Miller makes a difference as Mahommes ran around all first half extending drives? Of course it is complex, but its also a message board thread about things that didn't happen. You are supposed to imagine the outcomes and have fun discussing it. My bet is if you poll this board most would say we probably (not may) would have won the KC game and the SuperBowl with Miller. Contrary I dont think a healthy White would have mattered that much in that game but I suspect most would disagree with me on that point. Remember its just a message board meant for fun. Oh and Beane probably agrees since he broke the bank to get Miller only a few months later.
  20. This is fair. I have been mostly pleased with Beane's off-season moves over the years. At the time I and most of this board was even happy with the Benjamin trade. There have been a few I did not like. Frank Gore? Really? I was admittedly a Shady fan. He has not done a great job with the OL but it is not for a lack of trying. He's also had some bad luck with the O-line. Spain was great for a year and then fell apart. Williams was a cheap great signing at RT and then when he got paid crapped the bed. Morse has been up and down (more up than down). Heck even Saffold looked solid the first month of the last season. What is hurting the team right now is the whiffs in the second round - Ford, Epenesa, and Basham all look to be busts at this point. Bills are still dealing with the Ford miss and DE is still an issue. Now he has made up for it with excellent day 3 picks like Davis, Benford, Bass, and Jackson.
  21. Many of us wanted Miller via trade. Not making that deal probably cost us the SuperBowl. McD and Frazier's incompetence was the final error of the 2021 season.
  22. Faulk and Tomlinson were just as good and a step faster. Thurman had better vision and set up his blocks perhaps better than any RB in history. My favorite Bill until Allen wins the SB.
  23. Thurman Thomas. He's a former Bill and one of the greatest dual threat RBs in NFL history. He could pass block extremely well too. End the thread.
  24. You do. Simms missed SB XXV. Kelly hurt his knee in week 15 (game 14)against the Giants but played all the playoff games. Reich played the next game and beat the Dolphins to clinch the AFC East. Reich played in the XXVII playoffs as you described. Bills would then play Dallas and Kelly was injured late in that game too.
