  1. Yeah AZ is certainly one of the front runners. I just think Bryce Young is going to be terrible.
  2. Best performing rookie : I'm going Kincaid. Torrence is a great choice too, but if used correctly Kincaid is a matchup nightmare that can dominate. - Offensive non- skill position MVP: Morse - he's been a target for criticism from me, mostly due to his contract. But he is solid center and in his final year in the pivot he will play very well with better guards next to him. As for Dawkins - I think he will be the worst player on the OL this year. He is in serious decline. - Best Running back - Yards - Cook. TDs - Harris - Offensive dark horse : Diggs. I know how can he be the dark horse? Well some on this board think he is a diva and a cancer. I still think he is a top 3 WR and I think this year he gets the appropriate number of targets for a top 3 WR. Look for him to get 120-125 receptions this year. - Defensive dark horse - Hyde returns from injury and with a better pass rush, he gets 6 INTs this year. Contrary I can see a scenario where Rapp starts to take some of Poyer's snaps as the season wears on. - Defensive MVP - Hyde - see above - Player most likely to underperform - Davis. I like him a lot and defended him this entire off-season. I think he still may get 8 TD receptions but I think he will struggle to get 600 yards receiving. As above I think they feature Diggs more, and there are just too many other option on offense. This offense will be best if Davis is a very high YPC guy and is 4th or 5th on the team in targets. That means they are running a lot of stuff through Diggs, Knox, Kincaid, and another option.
  3. I left out the Chargers. I like Herbert a lot but they have let me down so many times in the last three years I just can't pick them again. Went with the Steelers as I think Baltimore takes a step back and they part ways with Harbaugh at the end of the year. Also see Browns imploding as Watson doesn't give a crap with his guaranteed money. I could see the 49ers not making the playoffs with their QB situation. Nothing would make me laugh more than to see a team so stacked put all their hopes into Mr. Irrelevant and watch it all implode. Something about John Lynch always rubbed me the wrong way. I have no good reason not to like him, but I just don't. However they get to play Arizona and Rams 4 times and they always play Seattle tough. That weak schedule which also includes Giants, Commanders, Browns, and Bucs will probably be enough to get a WC.
  4. AFC : Bills, Bengals, Jags, Chiefs AFC WC : Jets, Steelers, Broncos AFC Championship: Bills Jets NFC : Cowboys, Lions, Seahawks, Bucaneers(with an overall losing record) NFC WC : Eagles, 49ers, Vikings NFC Championship: Cowboys Eagles SuperBowl : Bills 34 Cowboys 24 MVP: Allen Coach of the Year: McCarthy First coach fired : Stefanski With the first pick in the 2024 draft, the Panthers select Caleb Williams
  5. His contract extension was signed in 2020. I beleive at the time only Kittle was paid higher.
  6. Mahommes was highest paid QB in the league when he signed his extension. Kelce's contract was signed in 2020 and he got a raise in 2022.
  7. Its interesting. If he hadn't gone back to college for senior year he would be discussed as one of the biggest draft busts of all time. He was a preseason consensus #1 overall pick after his junior year.
  8. Oh stop. Fans care about dynasties. Players want to win and get paid. It's the teams responsibility to choose who to pay and who not to pay to fit under the cap. Every player wants to get paid what they are worth and so do their agents. Even when Brady took slightly less he was always paid in the top 5.
  9. Wow that is really poor form. He needs to mind his own dam business when it comes to other people's money.
  10. So basically a Peterman clone. Anyone check and see if he is the son of the Waterboy?
  11. I will predict Kincaid will be like Jimmy Graham. He will flash early with the Bills for three years and then the league generally figures him out. Does well but not enough for a fifth year guarantee. He will then sign with another team who tries to make him a full time TE, and it does not go well. Torrence will get a second contract from Buffalo for two reasons. Brown and Dawson will both be gone and they will have guys on rookie contracts playing at the OT spots when he is due for an extension. He will be a top 8 OG for 5-7 years but never an All-Pro Williams is the enigma. He might be out of the league by 2025 or he could be the Bills starting MLB by Thanksgiving. I honestly have no idea which. The rest will be roster bottom feeders for three years and out of the league. Shorter I guess could be that 10 year special teams gunner type but we have not seen it in preseason yet.
  12. Without Allen he would probably be out of a job. How many GMs can survive giving up that much for a QB and have him fail? Will be interesting to see what happens with Lynch over the next couple years. If Purdy fails he is screwed.
  13. Most is an accurate statement. However 9% make All-Pro status and about 35% start all the games they are eligible for. These are general stats I saw from a few sites. So teams routinely find players that start lots of games and they find the superstar from time to time. So Beane has done a decent job getting reliable if not great starters. Could be a lot worse but could be a lot better too. I still think Knox can be a star if given the volume. Intrigued about Williams taken this year. I hope he gets some playing time.
  14. Agree. They need an arm in camp that can push Kyle Allen. They don't need to waste time on a reclamation project.
  15. Thank you. Beane needs to trade 6th and 7ths this year for 5 and 6 next year.
  16. The Miami games are an illusion. Bills were crushing the Dolphins in ganec1 and 3. They played sloppy football and let game 1 slip away and game 3 be too close. Miami offense is a threat to score on every play with their WR group. I like their HC more than I like McD. But McD has generally shown a way to prevent getting beat deep and with Hyde and Poyer back they should be able to play a deep shell. Just have to put your faith in Allen. He is our best hope for a Championship. If he plays smart Bills can beat anyone. If he plays reckless then they will struggle.
  17. Just curious. In what way is the team weaker than last year? I could buy the angst if you said other teams got better, but you lost me when you said the team is weaker. Outside of MLB there is no position that is worse than last year. DE may be worse for a few games but when Miller comes back they get an instant upgrade. The entire DL should be much better than last year. Secondary should be outstanding. WR group and TE group are better. OL looks much better up the middle. I dont think Dawkins is playing at a high level anymore but he wasn't last year either. So that is a wash. Brown might not be great but he is unlikely to get worse. RB group is probably status quo. A little more home run ability but maybe a little less ground and pound. Special teams - I really don't care besides the K and P and they are stable. Frazier is gone but again who cares. It has been McD's defense the whole time anyway. I'm a skeptic of the coaching staff but the roster is solid.
  18. Is that for all players on PS or just a designated few? I thought they could only protect a couple players from being poached but it could change from week to week.
  19. How is he #2 in round 3? Love the Knox pick but he has not been that great(only good by Bills TE historical perspective). Moss was terrible. Singletary just average. Phillips was not good but did get a second contract for the Vikings. Jury is still very much out on Brown. Wait until Bernard is out of the league next year and he will drop.
  20. I'd be fine if Ford and Phillips rotated from game to game to figure out who is playing better and keep them fresh for the playoffs. I hope they give Johnathan a real shot to beat out Lawson or Epenesa in the four games while Miller is on PUP. If they don't dress him they should have just cut him and gone with an extra interior OL or WR.
  21. Assume you mean Floyd. He's a veteran and knows preseason is worthless. He will show up when it matters.
  22. I liked the signing but agree have not seen much in preseason yet. Will be interesting to see if he or Phillips gets to dress.
  23. The league has moved on. The era you spoke about used tight ends as blockers. Ozzie Newsome and Kellen Winslow changed that in the early 1980s. Then guys like Gates, Graham, Gonzalez further redefined the position and now players like Kelce and Kittle are as athletic and dynamic as elite WRs. Gronk of course was as devastating a blocker as he was in the pass game which made him and that Patriots offense so special. Elite TEs create match up nightmares more than any running FB ever will. After losing so many games to Gronk and now Kelce, Beane and McD put together the best combo at TE the Bills have ever had with Knox and Kincaid. Now we need Dorsey and Allen to use them.
  24. No real surprise cuts this year. Most on this board probably predicted 50 of the 53. Most thought either Basham or AJE would get traded. I think many had Q making it as a backup OT especially after Doyle went down again.
  25. It can be with the Bills, but three weeks after injury settlement ends.
